Unable to run batch files in my EP server
Hi,
I'am unable to run batch files(go.bat and configtool.bat) on my EP server.Anbody please give me a solution.
With Regards
Pradeep.B
If your EP Server is on non-windows based environment then you cannot use go.bat & configtool.bat or else you can. If you are trying to execute these on unix based machines then you have to use go.sh & configtool.sh files.

Unable to run batch file in USB depoyment
Hello Guys,
First of I want to say that i am not an expert in this and merely taking over for someone who left the company.
I am moving the image deployment from network to USB.
I was able to create a bootable USB, and migrate the settings as well.
However a few of the steps which run after the WIM install call for batch files to run.
One calls for a Proxy activation, and a few call for .exe to install because it was too complicated to have those apps as actual steps.
Inititally the batch files were just called from the \\ XXXMDT\deploymentshare$\ folder, but now i need to have them run directly from the USB, and cant figure out how to do it.
For example,
I have changed the entry in the control\ts.xml file to <action>cmd.exe /f %systemroot%\proxy.bat</action>
F is because the USB maps as the F:\ and the proxy.bat now resides in the root of the USB stick, but the deployment process just ends up sitting at that step.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, PaulTypically I would recomend adding application and configuration packages as "applications" in the MDT console. That way if you were to convert from Network to USB deployments the application "package" would get properly migrated to the
USB share.
Additionally, another way is to place any configuration scripts into the
\\XXXMDT\DeploymentShare$\scripts folder, which is also generally copied to the USB share. Then you can call the script with the following step in your Task Sequence:
cmd.exe /c %ScriptRoot%\Proxy.bat
Don't forget to add logging into your proxy.bat file.

HOST IN 10g to run batch file on application server
Hi,
I am trying to deploy a form from 6i to 9i. the form use Host builtin to run batch file on machine. this works fine when i run form on client server environment. but when i run the same form after compiling in 9i and run on 3 tier model and try to run batch file from form it give me error that
'ftp' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
any suggestion? It could be because the Host session doesn't have any environment variables set i.e. there is no PATH variable, so it simply doesn't know where to look to find the 'ftp' executable. You could try supplying the explicit path of the ftp executable and see if that works. (This was a problem I had running Host commands on a Unix application server.)

Trying to run batch file (manually first) with powershell commands.
Powershell commands work fine thru powershell but the batch file will not execute manually.

Is there a permission or policy I may be missing?
Thanks

Error on running batch file in ODI
Hi All,
I am trying to run a batch file thats on another server.
So I mapped the network drive to point to that path as X:
I included OS Command step in the ODI package to call the batch file on X:\.
I used the following command:
cmd /c //X:\MyBatchFile.bat
when I execute the same with & without agent, it shows the following error:
'Wrong process return code'
I need some guidance here. Please help!
Thanks,
RubyI have seen that this error - Wrong process return code generally comes when syntax are not correct. To correct that i would recommend run the syntax in the Windows system from Oracledi/bin path and check if the that works and once you get the correct syntax ,copy and paste the codes into the OS command and try that should work .
Make sure you use the correct Agent . -
I am unable to run flash files, I get an AIR error.
I get this Adobe AIR error: " This installation of this application is damaged. Try re-installing or contacting the publisher for assistance." I have reistalled AIR 3.3 and still am unable to run flash files.
Shah Shah wrote:

No it's not. Read the description of the application:
"Bluetooth: Tokenlock can monitor any Bluetooth device to check if it is removed from range, such as your cellphone or a headset. Token lock checks periodically based on a schedule you choose to see if the Bluetooth device can still be seen. You can set different schedules based on whether or not your computer is plugged into power or is simply on battery to conserve battery power. The device does not have to be paired with your computer, allowing you to use just about any Bluetooth device - not just those that the computer supports." -
Getting the famous error :
... is not recognized as an internal or external command`*
When & Where :
not sure about the total range of the problem,
Here I can't run batch files and "devneve.exe"
sample Batch could be :
@echo off
clr
'clr' is not recognized ...
**Here are the keynotes:**
1. I run it as an admin (cmd)
2. The Path variable seems to have anything needed, Powershell's path is also there sys32..v1
3. I'm going into the current directory of devnev.exe ...
4. ran also "devnev.exe"
5. I don't have 2 cmd s in a known folder
6. the autorun registries for command prompt were deleted
7. the cmd extensions were disabled and re-enabled
8. Avast IS 9 is running,
9. The system seems to be fine
10. all .Net frameworks are installed
11. for a test jetAudio or ILDasm could be executed from the cmd
Win 8.1 Pro , CPU i7, VS 2013 upd2thanks,
this was one of the silliest problems I've ever encountered, my bad fault,
the file is DevEnv not DevNev...!
but about the clr, don't know from when I added them to my batches, but I'm sure the scripts were working correctly a time ago, maybe by a mistake I changed them, I thought it is the most known command, but I was wrong, there is a long time gap between me
and DOS. -
PDQ - run batch file on user current folder...
Hi,
I'm running batch file:
cd %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\
but it's not opening the current logged on user
how to deploy it on current logged on user?
thanks,,,
This topic first appeared in the Spiceworks CommunityThis is not working for me in Windows 8. I have a shortcut to an EXE file located in"C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup". If I set the shortcut to run as administrator (screenshot attached) then it does
not run at all on startup. If I uncheckmark "Run as Administrator" then it starts fine (but does not have enough privileges to do what it needs to do). In Windows 7 this was not an issue since the current user was a local administrator and did
not need to elevate its privileges further.
Any ideas how I can work around this problem? Thanks!
Ugh... it won't let me attach a screenshot until my "account is verified", whatever that means. -

Hi,
i am running a batch file from a java program. But in the batch file, the home is set to a relative path like .. (two dots) and in the batch file i am yet setting the classpath for running another java application. the main class of the application is in the jar file set in the classpath and when i am trying to run the java program, when i call the batch file, using Runtime.exec(), it says no class def found error since it is unable to locate the main class specified in th jar file.
can anybody suggest as to what i can do so that my application may run to ecexution.?
ThanksCall a 'regular' java class from the JSP and read :
http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-12-2000/jw-1229-traps_p.html
Keep in mind that possibly hundreds of client user threads will be accessing your JSP page...Are you going to run a batch file for each request that you receive? -
Unable to run jar file without lib folder containing swing-layout-1.0.jar
I have done my project through NetBeans 5.0. Eventhough I have copied my lib foloder containing swing-layout-1.0.jar inside my project.jar, I am still unable to run my project.jar in other systems, it is creating an error as Could not find the main class. Program will exit. But if I copy the lib foloder containing swing-layout-1.0.jar in the same path as the project.jar, then my project.jar is running.
But I want to give only the project.jar for other users and not also lib foloder containing swing-layout-1.0.jar each time.
Could someone please help me with this. When you develop GUI applications using the Netbeans you may endup using netbeans specific jar files in your auto generated code.
And when you build jar files with netbeans it copy the third party jar files used in a application in to a lib folder in the same directory as the jar file of your project. And then set a class path entry to those jar files in your project jar file's manifest file.
So if you want to redistribute the package you have to redistribute your jar file and every thing in the lib folder in with the same directory structure.
If you want to change the structure you will have to change the class path to suit the new structure.
