Unable to run Cisco IP Communicator

I am trying to run Cisco IP communicator while connected to my Wifi network at home (Verizon Fios) but something in the router is blocking it. I am successfully able to run it using Wifi on other Internet services(UVerse, TimeWarner).  Could you please let me know :
- how do we configure firewall/access rules in Wifi or disable all the firewall/access rules for testing ?
- how to configure router to run this application ?

Perhaps you need to forward the ports that it uses?
I point to http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Westell/A90-750015-07/A90-750015-07index....

  • Service Profiles and Cisco Unified Communications

    Hi All,
    I need some information on Service Profile configuration for ESXi hosts that will be running Cisco Unified Communications Manager and associated applications (Unity Connections and Presence)
    The B-Series Chassis will initially host 2 B200M2 blades for this purpose and I'm after best practice for the Service Profiles. The blades are running the M81KR Virtual Interface Card.
    Any help is appreciated, or if someone can point me in the direction of the documentation that would also be appreciated.
    Cheers
    Darren

    It's quite straightforward:
    - you must boot from local disk
    - bundle your local drives in a RAID-1 group
    - assign a pair of vHBAs to your profile for connectivity to your FC SAN (one to SAN "A", one to SAN "B")
    - as far as networking in concerned, you have "carte blanche" (UC VMs use a single nic and Nexus 1000V is optional)
    --> you could for instance create 6 vnics: 2 for service console, 2 for vmotion, 2 for vmdata. Or just 2 vnics and have Nexus 1000V "own" them. Any other scheme you find suitable is ok.
    Most restrictions aren't on the UCS side but rather on specific VMware features currently supported by the solution.

    The OVA templates for the UC VMs are at http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Unified_Communications_Virtualization_Downloads_%28including_OVA/OVF_Templates%29 --> you'll get an idea of storage capacity and vCPU requirements

  • FRM-41214: Unable ro run report while calling a report from a form in 9iDS

    Am in the process of migrating from Developer 6i client/server to Developer 9iDS on Windows 2000.
    I have read through the various postings on this issue & have made changes accordingly. I also referred to the white paper on the Forms/Reports integration.
    As I am trying to do a prototype, am compiling my forms/reports on my local machine & not on the apps. server.
    I installed a report server on my local machine as,
    rwserver -install 9irep
    I have defined this as a NT service and it is up & running & so is my OC4J instance.
    I have defined a reports object in my Form Builder & set Report Server=9irep,
    Destype=Cache,
    Execution mode=runtime
    Communication_mode=synchronous.
    I also removed the /security tag from the <report server>.conf file as suggested in the white paper. Also set the single sign-on to NO for the reports service.
    I have replaced my run_product with the run_report_object built-in as follows.
    Declare
    report_id      REPORT_OBJECT;
    report_status VARCHAR2(255);
    rep_job_id      VARCHAR2(255);
    Begin
    report_id := FIND_REPORT_OBJECT('KS'); --Created in form under node "Reports"
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id,REPORT_FILENAME,'C:\Kalpana\9i_Prototype\ISSMDLCUST.rdf');
    rep_job_id := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(report_id);
    report_status := REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS(rep_job_id);
    WHILE report_status in ('RUNNING','OPENING_REPORT','ENQUEUED')
    LOOP
    report_status := REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS(rep_job_id);
    END LOOP;
    message(report_status); pause;
    IF report_status='FINISHED' THEN
    Web.Show_Document('http://houwdisndgd01:8888/reports/server/getjobid='
    ||rep_job_id||'?server=ks');
    END IF;
    End;
    I get an error message "FRM 41214: Unable to run report" right after the call to run_report_object.
    Can someone please tell me where am going wrong with my run_report_object built-in? (I also need help writing my web.show document to point it to my local machine/folders).
    Thanks
    Kalpana

    How I have implemented the same and works
    Local OC4J is running.
    I established a reports server "repserver90" as a service.
    I created a report named "C:\TMP\TMP\test_report.rdf"
    I created a form with a Reports object with properties:
    Name: "EMP"
    Filename: "C:\TMP\TMP\test_report.rdf"
    Execution mode "Batch"
    Communication mode "Sychronous"
    Report Destination Type "Cache"
    Report Destination Format "HTML"
    Report Server "repserver90"
    I call the report with the procedure:
    PROCEDURE TEST_REPORT IS
    repid REPORT_OBJECT;
    v_rep VARCHAR2(100);
    rep_status VARCHAR2(20);
    BEGIN
    repid := find_report_object('EMP');
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_EXECUTION_MODE,BATCH);
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_COMM_MODE,SYNCHRONOUS);
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_DESTYPE,CACHE);
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_DESFORMAT,'html');
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_SERVER,'repserver90');
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_OTHER,'paramform=no pdeptno='||:dept.deptno);
    v_rep := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(repid);
    rep_status := REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS(v_rep);
    WHILE rep_status in ('RUNNING','OPENING_REPORT','ENQUEUED')
    LOOP
    rep_status := report_object_status(v_rep);
    END LOOP;
    IF rep_status = 'FINISHED' THEN
    /*Display report in the browser*/
    WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT('http://localhost:8888/reports/rwservlet/getjobid'||substr(v_rep,instr(v_rep,'_',-1)+1)||'?'||'server=repserver90','_blank');
    ELSE
    message('Error when running report');
    END IF;
    END;

    Hello Robert,
    Apologies for a delayed response, some days get very hectic.
    In CallManager, we only define the SRST reference, and CUCM version and SRST version are independent of each other.
    The only thing, which is related and will change with CUCM upgrade is Phone F/w version.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/compat/ccmcompmatr1.pdf
    You may just want to check your, phone f/w compatibility with the SRST version running on your ISR G1 Gateways:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2169/products_device_support_tables_list.html
    For Example: SRST version 7.1
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/vcallcon/ps2169/data_sheet_c78-520521.html
    You may want to do some lab testing with CUCM 9.1 and an SRST supported f/w on your phones.
    If you decide to run the old Phone/F/w to support the SRST version, you may not be able to take advantage of new features.
    Also, you can try and upgrade your phones(Wih CUCM 9.1) and test them with your SRST version.
    It should work fine, but from a troubleshooting perspective, TAC may request you to come into a Cisco Supported combination.
    Please, let me know if this clarifies your doubt or we can have a quick phone call.
    Regards
    Amit Singh

    Derrick,
    RFC 3261defines ways to provide increased security for a SIP session.
    The following describes areas in SIP that provides security for the protocol
    1. Authenticating users.
    We need to authenticate a user to ensure that the sender of the message is who he claims to be.
    To achieve this SIP uses digest authentication between a UAC, proxy and a UAS. This provides the most basic level of authentication challenge between a client, proxy and a server.
    2. Secure SIP signalling
    The next area we can secure is SIP signalling itself. For this we use SSL/TLS. This is similar to using https in web browsers. With TLS before our any signalling is exchange X.509 certificates are used create a secure TLS channel. All our SIP messages are then transported within the secure channel.
    NB: The digest authentication mentioned above for authenticating a user agent is just authentication. The messages are not protected from reading or modification hence it is recommended that these messages are carried inside a secure TLS channel for better security.
    3. Privacy and Identification
    Additional security features in SIP provides means where any user can choose to either reveal or conceal his identity.
    4.Secure RTP
    SIP also provides the ability to secure the media channel. It is not enough to secure signalling while anyone can listen to the media. RFC3830 discusses how the encryption should be done.
    5. S/MIME
    S/MIME encapsulation is used to protect sip headers making it impossible for any one in between the sender and receiver to modify the sip headers

  • LMS 3.1 - Unable to run EOL/EOS reports from CCO or Locally

    Unable to run the EOL/EOS reports in RME 4.2.0 LMS 3.1 (Windows)
    Jobs fail with message saying connection problems with CCO. (Proxy and CCO settings are correctly filled out)
    Tried to run the reports using the local data source option but am unable to download data files from CCO as the links given in online help (and a different link on CCO documentation) do not work.
    This is the documentation from online help:
    1. Use a server other than LMS server with internet connection as the external server.
    2. From this external server, access the following link to download the text file with XML data:
    http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/front.x/eox/RME_PSIRT_DETAILS.pl?action=download
    Ensure that you are a Registered User to access the above link. If you are not a Registered User, you can use the same link to register.
    3. After downloading the text file with XML data to the external server, copy this file from the external server into the LMS server under:
    NMSROOT\files\rme\jobs\inventory\reports\EOX_PSIRT\local_xml
    The text file with XML data, PSIRT_EOX_OFFLINE.txt gets saved under local_xml folder.
    The link mentioned in the instructions does not lead to any PSIR or EOX data.

  • Prime Infrastructure 2.2- problems: Wired Detailed Device Inventory report not running / Cisco 5500 WLCs no listed in subgroup

    New installation of Prime Infrastructure 2.2.0 (PI-VA-2.2.0.0.158.ova)
    installed fixes/software/device packs:
    PI 2.2.1 Poodle Fix (installed)
    PI 2.2.1 Maintenance Release (installed,ncs stopped,rebooted)
    Prime Infrastrucutre 2.2 Device Pack 3 (installed,ncs stopped,rebooted)
    Licences installed (ncs stopped,rebooted)
    Added all devices via Bulk Import (Inventory>Device Management>Network Devices)
    Problem 1:
    The Cisco 5500 WLCs are not listed in Inventory>Device Management>Network Devices (see screen shot) but listed under "All Devices"!
    The Cisco 4400 WLCs and the 8500 WLCs are listed within their subgroup.
    Devices are in "Managed State"
    Problem 2: fixed! (Browser issue)
    Problem 3:
    Unable to run "Wired Detailed Device Inventory" report because I get the error message: Failed to run report: Unable to retrieve data for: Chassis Information (if Chassis Information is selected, if System Information is selected I get the error message with ...retrieve data for:System Information)
    All devices do have an "Admin Status = Managed" and the Last Inventory Collections Status = Completed.
    Has anyone the same issues or a tip for me?
    Another topic, the "User Defined Fileds" are not exported when with running a "Device Export" (Inventory > Device Management > Network Devices). ;-(

    Hallo Bastian,
    I think you still have browser issue, Using IE is still the best with Prime.
    I have exactly same prime 2.2 and installed fixes/software/device packs.
    I have no problem I can see all views. I use now IE 11, with Chrome 42.0.2311.90 and firefox 37.01 I have problems too with lots of views. You have not tell what browser + version you have.
    Since you have same prime 2.2 as me. I have other problems, can you check yours?

    Sanjay Hi
    You have to create a report object within the form.
    If you look at the Object NAvigator in the Form Builder right below Record Group
    tou would see an option for Report. Create a new report object.
    Set the following properties for that object
    Filename - This should be the name of your RDF file you created from Report Builder along with the full path.
    Set the Execution Mode, Communication Mode and Report Destination Type as per your requirements.
    In the parameter for find_report_object() pass the name of the report object you created.
    eg.
    if the name of the report object you created is Report2 then
    your call should be rep_id := find_report_object('Report2') .
    You are calling the report object which has been created in your form builder and through that call you are running the report file specified in the Filename property of that report object.

  • Unable to run Photoshop, tells me I've reached the 2 Comp limit

    I have installed on two computers Adobe Photshop, now on one of them I am unable to run Photoshop and get a message telling me that I've reached the limit of two computers and it doesn't run any more and asks for an activation code.
    The thing is that it's only installed on these two computers and not on any other, could my account have been hacked and installed by someone else? Is there a way of "removing " activation on a computer remotely or atleast identify on which computers it's installed?

    Hi,
    Could you tell us is there any other error code or message about Visio crash?
    1. First let’s try to launch Visio in safe mode by typing Visio.exe /safe in command line.
    2. We can perform a clean boot in Windows to remove conflict with other applications.
        About how to perform a clean boot: http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-us
    3. The cause may be the installation resource is corrupted. You can also download the installation from website and reinstall.
