When i am running gpresult /h gpresult.html command in my client PC i am getting Access Denied error on
Please find the below screenshot and suggest the way to resolve the issue

Hi Folks,
I'm using Developer 6i with Oracle 9i. I can run forms from the clients so that the FMX file is residing on a shared drive on the server, but when I try to run reports which also reside on the shared drive of server, I get error that unable to find the report. Do I need to install report server on the client machine/server or am I missing some basic step here?

Unable to view Applet in client machine.

I have one jsp (Main.jsp) in which i am embedding One.Class file by using the following tag:

This applet (One.java) reads the XML file and displays the data in tree structure.
I kept the One.class file, and all the jar files in the same folder where jsp is there. All the files are in tomcat/webapps/ExceleRATE (project folder).
This is working fine in the machine where i am running tomcat(for running applets separate setting neet to be made for java.policy file ..that i did in my machine and client machine....), but not working from the different machine, i.e client machine (here my machine will act as server).
I am getting the following error in client machine:

Wherever you use http://localhost:8080 in your applet tag, it means:
"Browser, would you please download the applet from the web server running on the same machine as yourself on port 8080".
But you want it to come from the web server from where you downloaded the page. All the details here: [http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/misc/applet.html].

Unable to run Muse on 3 machines

Adobe tech said I could run muse on three machines as long as they were not all being used at the same time. They have fixed the issue twice through long chat sessions. Now it's happening again. I have two macs at home and I have one at work. I have to take my projects between all three computers.

Unable to deactivate Adobe Muse
You have already deactivated all machines for this account twice.
You will need to either locally deactivate other machines or wait to deactivate them.
We pay over $600 a year and this is the frustration we get? Adobe has always been like this and it's not fair to the people who pay for their products. There has to be a better way to manage this and allow us the software that we pay for.

Whoever you spoke to gave you the wrong information.
Adobe software can be activated on a maximum of two (2) computers simultaneously - not 3.

When you try to activate on a 3rd machine you'll get a "maximum activations exceeded" message. Then you must deactivate the software on one of the other machines or follow the steps here to deactivate all software then re-activate

Oracle Forms is a web only product. The Forms are deployed on the application server and run via a browser....

Running maxl on client machine to connect to remote essbase server

I am able to connect to essbase on a client machine by using the link:

However, when I try to log in via MAXL on the client machine, I get the following error...

Is the host name in maxl the same name as the name in the easconsole link? do i need to set up anything (tnsnames.ora) for maxl to work?

The essbase server name is ts119licalnn, it is shown under essbase servers in EAS.
By not using the default Essbase node 'EssbaseCluster-1', it has revealed the port number EAS uses to connect to essbase, in this instance, 1443.
The problem was that I did not have the correct port number, is there an easier way of finding the correct port number?

How can I run exe (on client machine) from forms over web

I have a point-of-sale form that I currently run over the web. I have a great need to be able to open a cash drawer at the end of the
sale. From the vendor I have a demo program (a Visual Basic executable) located on the local drive that I would like to run that will
open the cash drawer. I am not sure if this is doable, if it is how?
We are using Forms version 6.0.8.11.3 on Windows2000 against Oracle database 8.1.7.1.0 on Unix. We run our web forms from the
Unix box as well.
If anyone has any insight on how I could do this I would greatly appreciate it.

AddOn Exe running multiple instance in client machine

Hello Experts,
I have created a addon which i have installed in the server .While connecting the addon from the client machine addon runs
well . But at the end of day when i see the task manager their it shows two to three instance of that addon exe running
.I have written the application event in my addon for its termination when the sap is closed or addon is stopped.
Even though system shows two to three instance of that addon exe running on that client machine.
Suggest how to solve this multiple instance problem of AddOn Exe.

Hello Amit,
this comes because SAP B1 Dumps, and your addon is not terminated. You can check the
C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\Log folder for SAP B1 logs. If you see more than 1 file per day, you can make sure, that the application has been restarted.
When B1 dumps,. the addons are not getting disconnected, so you can build a monitoring procedure into the addon, to look SAP B1 is alive or not.
In forum, last year I have sent at least 2 solutions for handling this issue, but it is very hard to handle in terminal servers because there you running several SAP Business One.exe applications.
If you not using terminal server, it is not an problem. follow up this threads

How to download/save report from server machine to client machine?

Hello All
This is San,
My problem is that i need to save pdf/html report in client machine while report running on client machine for this i have set destype as file and desformat as pdf/html.
It is running and save automatically while report run on server machine (Application Server OS is Windows 20003 professional) but when i run it on client machine (Client machine OS is XP sp2) click on run button to run report then it give message as
FRM-41214: Unable to run report
When I do showjobs then it give message as
Executed successfully but there were some errors when distribute the output<br>
Please suggest me solution of the above mentioned.

Error Loding Crystal Report in Client Machine

I have developed a windows application using vs2010 c# and also generated crystal report using the application.The problem is I
am able to view report on my computer but when the same application runs on a client machine its throwing an error "could not load file or assembly crystaldecisions.windows.forms version 13.0".I am not able to load the report on client machine.What

Opening a text file in server from an applet running in the client

Friends,
I want to open a text file in the server(The server machine uses tomcat 4.1.12 server)from an applet running in the client machine;
The applet invokes a servlet that opens the text file;this text file is opened in the server machine; but I want it to be opened in the client machine where the applet is running.
Plese help me to get around this.

You can open the textfile on the servlet and then send the information to the client (applet) as stirngs. The must then applet convert the stirngs into some object or simply display the information in someway. But then the text file that you are opening must be stored in some relevant tomcat directory e.g. on the server. If you want to open a file on the clients computer, you get into signed applets.

Cannot acess file on server from client machine using java web start

Hi everyone,
I am creating an appication using JWS and Apache Web Server version 2.0.54 on Linux. I am trying to access a file on the server that IS NOT inside the jar file. I have given full access (r, w, x) to all users on my server. We also created a FilePermission object and gave the file read and write access as well. But when we deploy the program and try to get this file, a SecurityException is thrown with the following mesage:
acess denied (java.io.FilePermission filename read) where filename is the file in our local filesystem. Any suggestions on what I can do?

It sounds like you are trying to access the file as if your JNLP application were running on the server. The JNLP app is running on the client machine, so you will need to use a URL to open the file. Take a look at the JavaDocs for the following:
     java.net.URL
     java.net.URI
     java.net.File
You also need to be sure your server is configured to serve the file. For example, you ought to be able to access the file through your browser using something like http://www.myco.com/myapp/myfile.txt. (How you configure your server is a topic for a different forum.)
You probably also want to look into JavaWS security, and even Java security in general to determine if you need to sign your app or not. Here are some links to get you started:

I am searching for the feasibility of JavaFX for a client.I want to run JavaFX on client machine(can be multiple clients) and through some middle layer I want to connect it through database server etc.

You have mentioned in your post that you are trying to find out the time on the Client Machine. It does not clarify if code running on server itself is acting as client or it is the code running on the browser.
If it is the browser then the code that you have posted may not be of any help as Java does not run on the browser(except in applet). You will have to use the Date class of JavaScript. If you make an instance of this class in JavaScript with default constructor it will be initialized by the time of the machine where the browser is running.
If you want to have the time of the server where your jsp code is converted into html, you can use the GregorianCalendar class. The default constructor initialize itself with the date and time of the machine on which the application/web server is running. You can use the methods of this class to retrieve the different parameters of date and time.
