Thanks in advance

3.'enable all macros in Excel

  • Combining 1-D arrays to save in excel format

    I have different 1-D arrays which I want to store in excel. All arrays in a single MS excel file.
    How do I do that?

    Hi Shan21,
    are your arrays from different type? If you need a "real" Excel file, then you have to use ActiveX functions. To write two different array (different type) use two invoke node (value) to write the different types.
    If you only need a Spreadsheet file, then the easiest way is to convert both arrays to string and write all at ones.
    Hope it helps.

  • Unable to save in zip format

    Dear All,
    I am using a Proxy to File Scenario which is calling an HTTP Service from a Mapping class in PI 7.3 with AAE and no ABAP stack.
    The process is initiated by a proxy and then from within the mapping class the HTTP Service is called via the lookup method. A HTTP_AAE channel is utilized for the lookup. The Service returns multiple files in zip format in a stream and the data is saved to a file in zip extension with a file adapter.
    Following are the communication channel used.
    1. Sender Proxy Channel
    2. Receiver HTTP_AAE channel
    3. Receiver File Channel
    When I am trying to unzip the file, it is throwing - The compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted.
    Following are the parameters set in the Receiver HTTP_AE channel.
    Character Encoding : utf-8
    Content Type : application/x-www-form-urlencoded
    Please suggest
    Rana

    File type in receiver cc must be binary.

    Hi all,
    I am facing a problem on 10gR2 Application Server, When I try to run a report from portal, Report shows o/p in the excel but when I try to save the O/P by using File -> save as , it shows only 4 types of files like htm, html, txt.
    I have used desformat=delimiteddata and minetype=application/excel.
    When I run same report using simple url it allows me to save in excel.
    Plz suggests some way to save the o/p in excel.
    Regards
    Amit.

    If you have the Financial Report open there are two options:
    - in the bottom right hand corner of the report click the link: "Export In Query ready Mode"
    (this opens the report so you can use it as an Excel retrieve)
    - from the Hyperion menu, select File>Export>Excel
    (this exports the headers as objects and the data grid, so you can manipulate in Excel).

  • Unable to print xml publisher report in excel format in R12

    Hi All,
    We are unable to print xml publisher report in excel format in R12. We were able to see the excel output but it's printing junk characters while printing and it's printing without any issue with PDF format.
    Please let me know how to fix this issue.
    Thanks,
    Raja

    Hi Raja,
    I presume you have gone through the debugging process of testing your template locally first to get the expected result.....
    If yes, this note might probably be helpful "Changing Output Format to RTF or Excel in XML Publisher Request Does Not Display Output Correctly (Doc ID 404512.1)"

  • I am unable to save my form responses as a pdf or excel file.

    I am unable to save my form responses as a pdf or excel file.  The error message states: Acrobat.com could not save this file. The file might be open in another application and cannot be overwritten.

    Did saving ever work or did it fail the first time you tried?
    Have you tried to save to multiple locations?  Maybe it has something to do with permissions on the directory you are trying to save to.
    Have you tried saving something from another web site to the same location?  Try creating and saving a file in/from https://workspaces.acrobat.com/app.html#o and see if that has the same result.
    Thanks,
    Josh

  • Save as file format CSV in Excel

    Does anyone know the correct syntax on this one?
    I have an excel file which should be saved as CSV.
    This is what I came up with, but it doesn't run.
    tell application "Microsoft Excel"
    activate worksheet "worksheet1"
    set fileSaveName to get save as file format CSV file format filename
    save as filename fileSaveName
    if fileSaveName is not "" then
    display dialog "Save as " & fileSaveName
    end if
    end tell

    It's not surprising it doesn't run but that's not entirely your fault. Excel has pone of the funkiest dictionaries around - I think they forgot to read the AppleScript Implementor's guide and instead tried to bolt VB on instead.
    Anyway, I digress...
    I'm not sure what you expect this line to do:
    set fileSaveName to get save as file format CSV file format filename
    but it's completely invalid. For one, save as is a command verb, not a function, so you cannot get save as.
    If you read the dictionary for Excel's save as command you'll find:
    save as sheet ¬
    filename unicode text ¬
    file format as ¬
    password unicode text ¬
    write reservation password unicode text ¬
    read only recommended boolean ¬
    create backup boolean ¬
    add to most recently used list boolean ¬
    overwrite boolean ¬
    save as local language boolean
    so the first, required, parameter is the sheet to save followed by any number of the optional parameters. Given the above, I'd expect your script to look more like:
    tell application "Microsoft Excel"
      save as worksheet "worksheet1" file format CSV file format filename "whatever.csv"
    end tell
    which is completely bass-ackwards, if you ask me, but that's how it goes.

  • I am puzzled by iMac(Intel ?).  I am running an iMac 24 and use Mac:Office 2008.  After having downloaded my Os X LION upgrade, I am suddenly unable to SAVE (and thus alter) my Excel quotations.  This is a major issue for a salesman.  Can anybody help me

    I am puzzled by the meaning of iMac (Intel) as I use an iMac 2 period.  I am running Mac : Office 2004 and do all my quotations in Excel.  After upgrading to OS X LION,  I am suddenly unable to SAVE my spreadsheets.  As a salesman whose quotations need frequent updating,  my situation is perilous to say the least.  Can anyone help me ?

    Office for Mac 2004 is NOT compatible with Lion. It must be upgraded to Office for Mac 2008 or 2011, once you have upgraded the files will be accessable. Office for Mac 2004 is written for old PPC (Power PC) based machines. Beginning with Lion support for PPC based apps has been dropped.

  • Save file to excel format

    -the 3... version of SQL developer has one very important function (from my point of wiev) done unnecessarily difficult.
    - in earlier versions (2...) was simply “export data, -> xls- “ and the out coming file was ..in any editable form of Excel – format
    - I (personally) moved back using TOAD – main reason was because that sort of unnecessary inconvenience of transferring data to the format my clients wants -- it is boring
    Eero M

    I see your point, but I applaud the new Excel output options. I use this feature constantly, and the couple of extra default values and clinks are worth it. Options:
    *Maybe just add a "finish" button to the Wizard so that it skips the next "tab" in it (basically defaults to the old Excel export technique). Even with the new features, I think that it is literally just one extra click compared to prior versions.
    *Fix the issue where there is an empty column appended to the right of the data (this has been there in all versions to date). To see it, unload to Excel. Open the file in Excel and hit ctrl-end.
    *Allow the system to use an Excel "template" so that it uses default fonts, colors, etc. Within the "template", allow you to pick the worksheet and cell that the output goes to (e.g. Summary!A4).
    *Fix the date issues, so that when it is exported to Excel, Excel treats dates as real dates not strings
    *Support the newer Excel 2007 file format (this has been around for 3 years now)
    *Make the SQL easier to read (great feature, difficult to read it). We use SQL Developer to handle a lot of ad hoc queries, and it is convenient to have the SQL worksheet since it saves documenting and debugging time dramatically. The SQL output that is shown on the "Unload Summary" looks right, but when it gets exported, the carriage returns don't display nicely.
    All of the above have been entered into the "Exchange" before. Obviously, we can't expect everything to be done by Oracle, but it is great to see them adding capability to this area of the tool. I'd probably try making an extension, but I don't know Java.

  • Issue while exporting report in Excel Format

    Hello,
    I am facing problem while exporting the report in Excel Format. After analysis, I think that it could be due to two reasons, either we are using wrong versions of Jars, or we are using wrong API. Here is the code, approaches and problems we are facing. Please help.
    First approach we are using is:
    // using basic API
    import com.crystaldecisions.reports.sdk.ReportClientDocument;
    // get client document from crystal report API and open the report by specifying the report name, with path
                   ReportClientDocument reportClientDoc = new ReportClientDocument();
                   reportClientDoc.open( reportPath, 0 );
                   // give chance to extending classes to configure the report document by POJO or by sql parameter etc, just adding the parameters infromation using ParameterFieldController
                   configureReportDocument( reportClientDoc, reportMetadata, reportData, reportContext );
                   // get data source of crystal report
                   Object reportSource = reportClientDoc.getReportSource();
                   // export the data - we have also tried with MSExcel format
                   ReportExportFormat exportFormat =  ReportExportFormat.recordToMSExcel;
                   LOGGER.debug( "exportFormat[" + exportFormat + "]" );
                   ByteArrayInputStream byteArray = (ByteArrayInputStream) reportClientDoc.getPrintOutputController().export(
                             exportFormat );
    Problem Faced: Specified Excel format is not supported.
    Second Approach: We come to know that excel format is supported with new releases and with occa package.
    Then we tried with import com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.application.ReportClientDocument; It ask to set the ReportServer. When we are trying to set the server as
                   reportClientDoc.setReportAppServer(ReportClientDocument.inprocConnectionString);
    Application is unable to find 'ReportClientDocument.inprocConnectionString' property. It seems like we are using some old jars. However we have downloaded the latest released jars for eclipse 2.
    Please help for it. Issue is to export the report in excel format, which is currently working fine for PDF. If this problem is related to Jars, please suggest the path to download the latest jars. We also looking for the latest jars like rasapp and rascore etc. But these are not available with Crystal Report for Eclipse 2 release.
    Waiting for urgent help. Thanks you..
    Regards,
    Mohit
