Unable to save permission changes in templates in win 2012

Hi,
PKI set up of (2003 and 2008) based Sub CA and 2003 based AD ( with schema version supporting 2008) is running in the enviornment. Now CA is migrating to 2012 setup. When i try to create template and make permission changes, it says " unable to save
permission changes. Directory object not found". When i duplicate and save the template with name change and wait for 10-15 min and then open that template again and make permission changes, it works.
Just wanted to know if this is because of some feature issue and will it get resolved if AD is upgraded to 2012 schema.

As Brian said, this is likely due to replication delays. Updating the
schema version is not likely going to resolve this. If you know how to work
around the issue then I wouldn't worry about it too much. Creating new
certificate templates should not be a frequent task.

Unable to Save New Changes - Adobe InContext

Everytime I change anything, whether inserting text or deleting a character and then try and save or finish it pops
up with an error message saying that the content contains unnalowed tags or dynamic code. i'm pretty new at this, Can anyone help?

It looks like the problem has been resolved with your updated page. I was able to copy the source code, edit and publish the page. It appears the error you were seeing is caused by the comment you have within the editable region. The anchor tag inside of the comment caused the error. You don't have this comment in the newest version of your page.
I should let you know that the way you have your editable region setup is not really the best way to ensure your your page formatting remains intact. You have the editable region wrapping arround multiple elements including navigation links, divs and tables, have have inline styles applied to many of these elements. If your client edits these elements, they may not be able to get them back.
The best way to setup your regions is to be very specific about the content regions which your client is allowed to edited.

Unable to save changes to Interactive form

Hi All
       I am designing an Interactive form in the WD Java application. This form is in DC which belongs to TRACK1.
      After making changes to the form I try to save the changes by clicking "Save All Metadata" but that has no effect. when i close the form and reopen it, the all changes made are gone.
      From some threads i got that Interactive form should not be kept blank. But even after assigning all the attributes to Form I am unable to save the changes to PDF.
      While as changes made to PDF in another DC belonging to TRACK2 are getting saved.
      Does that mean the track in perticular has to be given some perticular authorization? or does that depend on authoriztions of userid which created the track?
Please help me in resolving this issue

actually when i tried to modify the XDP file, i found that for all DCs in that particular track no XDP file has been generated. also that the templateSource property of the InteractiveForm UI Element is blank while as it should point to the template on file system.
i checked the SAPNote 822198 as suggested on this thread Link: [Adobe Document Server issues - cannot save metadata of interactive form UI; but it has not solved my issue.
can you please suggest wat the issue might be??

Unable to save Fireworks template. Save as Template permission error.

I'm running Windows 7 64bit as an administrator. I opened a new canvas in Fireworks and set it to 728x90 pixels to create a standard horizontal leaderboard banner. Then I tried to save it as a template so I wouldn't have to remember the dimensions. I chose File > Save As Template and a save dialogue box opened so I could select a location to save. I went to the Windows 7_OS (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Adobe > Adobe Fireworks CS5 > Configuration > Templates and tried to save my file, but I got the following error: You don't have permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission.
Well I'm the administrator and I'm not sure how you create templates you can use in Fireworks. Does anyone know where I'm going wrong?

The following link offers a possible explanation and a workaround:
The problem is that Windows Vista and Windows 7 will not allow you to write to system folders. It means that will not be able to save to the Templates folder.
A workaround has been identified. Right-click on the "Configuration" folder in the Fireworks installation directory and modify the security settings so that "Users" have write and modify privileges. This allows Fireworks and the Extension Manager to write and manages files in this folder.

Interestingly, the Templates folder was moved in Fireworks CS6 from the Application folder to the user library Application Support folder (on a Mac, that is), perhaps to avoid this type of issue.

I'm using Word for Mac. Though there are various instructions on the Internet for modifying the templates, none make sense to me. They instruct to do something I can't follow. I change a template but can't save it to the template folder.

OK, I try to change a template using Word for Mac version 14.3.4 2011 edition.
I make a change to the template but am unable to save the darned thing to the template folder; it asks for a file name like it's a new document. I want to change the blasted template but if I can't save it as a modified template, I've accomplished nothing.

In Pages I used to be able to edit a template and "save a version" to update the template. Now i have to rename the template to save the changes. Why is this happening? what happen to "save a version"? its no longer an option under "file".

In your description you say the first document opens as the Title you gave it.
Templates always open as Untitled so it sounds like you have saved a regular document, perhaps into your templates folder which is possible.
Since you have already worked on it and it has been previously saved, Lion will now Save for you and Save a Version is available
The other document does open as Untitled so sounds like a real template and as Peggy has pointed out will not have either Revert nor Save a Version until you Save it and have changed something in it.
This is a classic example of just how Apple's supposedly "simplification" of the process, is leading to confusion of what has happened. That the conditions and resulting actions from those conditions is so convoluted says it all.
It all reminds me of the Monty Python Life of Brian sketch with the "simplified" John Cleese instructions to the class, as to if you have a brother in an older dorm whether to hang your hat and bag on the hooks provided. The trouble is Apple does not get the joke, that it is transforming itself into a frequently self contradictory bumbling bureacracy. The price of unchallenged self appointed geniushood.

I just built a new workstation for processing photos using PS CS5. I use external drives to store my images as I find it easier for backing up as well as for when I want use my laptop for sorting, etc.. I copied over all my old "Collection" files, and of course, had to "fix" them once on the new machine. Once pointed in the right direction, the collections all fill out correctly.
When I go to process a collection though, I encounter an odd problem I can't seem to sort out. I can delete files, rename files, copy/paste to the external drives, etc.. What I can't seem to do is add Labels, Ratings, or modify RAW settings. I mean, I can use ACR to make adjustments, I just can't seem to save them.
The system just ignores label, rating commands completely. When I try to save an ACR adjustment I get this error. "Unable to save the raw conversion settings. There was a write permission error."
The files are NOT write protected. I'm set up as the owner of my workstation, with complete control of the system. I can't seem to find any useful information about this error because the "write permission error" seems to only be happening on installs, so that's all I can find help for.
My system:
Intel Core i7 970@ 3.20GHZ
24.0 GB RAM
64-bit OS - Windows 7 Pro
DX58S02 Motherboard
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580

To answer your first question; I use sidecar XMP files. If everything from my archive was shot in RAW I'd try converting to DNG and see if embedding the changes directly in a file worked. Unfortunately, a lot of my old stuff was shot in JPG, so sidecars seems to be the best choice.
When I add labels, ratings, as well as change RAW settings on files I place on my workstations HD everything works. It's only when I try to do these things with the same files on removable drives that I run into trouble. The drives I use are Transcend 640GB StoreJet 25ms connected via USB.
I don't think it's a UAC problem. At least, to my understanding, doesn't that control how your machine alerts you to program changes? I'm stumped. I also hate the idea that I'll have to go through various folders to find images from already created collections, copy them to a new folder on my HD and then work on them. Then I'll have to put them all back... ugghhhh

Unable to create a subsite based on the generic template - save site as a template

hi,
am using a save site as a template functionality to create a sub site. when i select the custom template, and click on ok button,am getting server error in appln.
in the site template i have
1) 2 document libraries with permissions broken[ stop inheritance]
2) 4 Groups created L1, L2,L3,L4
am stuck with , how to proceed/ create a subsite based on the template site
note i have uploaded the wsp file in the new site collection and activated it . ma getting the custom site template name in the tab.
would like to get clarification about the custom permissions:
if i break the permissions on the document libraries, will this sec.permissions be intact, [ not changed] as the orginal ? i mean if i broke the permissions, in the newly created subsite also, will the permissions be broken? i need this broken functionality
as per my requirement.
help is highly appreciated!

we cant perform stop inherit the permissions for the doc lib and create a sub site based on this site template.
also if i stop inheriting from site permissions also.

When you open a template it is a copy of the template you get. You can write, add, delete or change what ever you like. It will not change anything in the template. When you save you have a document, not the template.

Cannot save any changes - Microsoft Forefront 2010 for exchange is unable to perform the requested function

HI, I have Forefront 2010 for Exchange installed for an Exchange 2007 SP2 running on Windows 2003 x64 SP2. Exchange has all roles installed on the same server.
When I try to save any change on Forefront I got the following message:
Microsoft Forefront 2010 for Exchange is unable to perform the requested function. This may be because Forefront services are unavailable. Ensure that all Microsoft Forefront services are running and that WindowsPower Shell is functional
Well, our FF services are running and PowerShell is functional. I checked some forums and found some problems when there is entries in the IP Allow / Block lists in Exchange UI. I removed those entries but problem remains.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

In my case, I was able to work around this issue by using PowerShell directly. For example, to run an on-demand scan for all mailboxes, this worked:

Site owner unable to save template

Hello,
I have a user that is in a site owner SP group with FULL CONTROL perms. As a member of this group he was able to, until recently, change then save sites as a template for later use. Now when he tries to save a site as a new template, it says access
is denied and gives the option to sign in under a different account.
I have removed then readded him to the group, but that did not solve the problem. In the same group I added my non-admin account and was able to save the template without fail.
One note to make is that the SP admin account wasn't delegated for directory replication perms from the A.D. (an oversight in the setup of the farm). Before granting that perm to the SP admin account, some users were displayed as "domain\jdoe"
and others with their display name "John Doe." There were also some cases where there were duplicate user profiles in SP. Since the replication perms were granted all names are displayed the same (as "John Doe") and the users that had duplication
profiles now have just the single SP profile.
My question is this; how do I go about allowing my site owner to save the new site templates? Or how would I troubleshoot the denial of his account perms when, according to the security group permissions check, he has the access required? Did the lack
of replication permissions for the SP admin account have anything to do with this?
If I missed something in describing my problem, please let me know.

- No, there is only the single account in UserInfo related to his login ID / Email
- There is only one column with a "1" (TRUE) setting and that is the tp_IsActive column. All others are NULL
- Created new web app with same site collection (Team Site) in the same environment. Added the same end user to the owner group. He was able to save a template without fail.
--Interesting development--
After saving a new template in the new web app, the end user tried saving the sub-site (in the original problem) as a template - and it worked! Tried the same action again and it failed with the same result as before (your account is denied...). Further
testing, trying to save a different sub-site as a template resulted in an error, but this time it gave a correlation ID to go from.

How do I get permission to save an Adobe Illustrator template in the templates folder in Windows 8, CS5?

The wonderful people at MICROSOFT forum helped with this problem, I will post response here:
Enable the permission and check the issue status.
a. Right click on the folder and click Properties.
b. Click Security Tab, click Edit under Group or User Names and click Add.
c. Type “Everyone” and click check names.
d. Click Ok.
e. Click Full Control under Permissions for everyone.
f. Click Apply and click Ok.
g. Click Ok.
Templates are to be saved in the following location:
System folder (username:) \ App Data \ Roaming \ Adobe \ Adobe Illustrator CS5 Settings \ en_GB \ New Document Profiles
this is using CS5 on Windows 8

Unable To Save Templates - Receive A Restart Error

Hi there,
As of yesterday I am unable to save templates. At first I thought it may be an error with the project that I was working on, but I've opened up old projects and tried to resave those as a new template and I receive an error.
If I create a new project and try to save it as a template, I also receive this error.
Anybody know why this is happening? Thanks - Scott.
