Unable to save .tif as jpeg in 8/bit mode & RGB

Helloooo,
I created a panorama from a couple of raw files and saved it as a .tif. The file is 257mb and is 3200 by 2780 (I know it's long ) I'm in 8bit mode using RGB color. When I try to save it the only options are dic psb raw and tif. Is my image too large, am i just making some stupid mistake? Of course I already flattened the image as well. Help!!

Are those dimensions in pixels, CM's, inches, or something else? If pixels, then your image is not large at all, and you should have many options.

I can't save tif with jpeg compression method

Hello, I've trouble to saving image in tif format with jpeg compression method.
With the same image this option some times is unavailable, randomly, I don't know how.
After some practice I leave that if I open an image previously saved in tif-jpeg the option turn on for the next save.
I've got both CS5 and CS4, and the odd thing is this occour on all.
Someone have triks?

I know very well the difference betwin a background layer and transparent layer...
I'm writing about a bug, or interference from something, when I want saving an image in tiff format with jpeg compression.
I'm asking if someone had a similar trouble and know a solution and/or trik to solve this!!!

I created a broacher with a template using pages but am unable to save it in JPEG. I tried saving as a pdf then using preview save as JPEG but it did not give that option??

I have created a boucher with PAGES using a template. How do I now get that teplate to JPEG?
I tried convertong it to a PDF then saving , but I never got an option to save as JPEG.
Appreciate any assistance.

Can't save _ANY_ images as JPEGs, even old JPEGs created a year ago. I'm using CS4 PS, 8 bit mode, RGB. Happened overnight?

I've tried google, apparently the solution is always the mode and I'm using 8-bits, RGB. That was on a new image my BIL asked me to work on... it started life as a PNG. To double check, I opened a image from my camera taken a year ago, saved as a JPG after cropping, it opens as a JPG but I can't save it as a JPG with a new or the old name. I'm baffled.

Not quite sure I'm following you, but two things come to mind:
1.— Make sure Photoshop is updated to version 11.0.2. You have to update it manually. The Adobe auto updater was utterly useless with CS4.
2.— whenever something happens "suddenly", the first thing to try is to nuke the Photoshop preferences files.
To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"

I cant save pics with JPEG or PSD?

I have Elements 10, last night after doing windows updates, I am unable to save my photos, JPEG or PSD, instead they go to "file" with a blank page icon, which when clicked on tells me " cannot open its the wrong type of file" please can any one advise!

Adobe Acrobat 7 - unable to save as JPEG

Hi. I have a customer that has Adobe Acrobat 7 and has a LOT of pdf's. They like to save the PDF's as JPEG so they can attach them to other documents. I just reinstalled their computer and now the feature doesn't work. You click file, save as, choose jpeg then save. That portion works, then nothing. It just goes back to the main screen. It never created the JPEG. Now if I log in as another user on the computer it works great. I thought may be it was a permissions issue so I promoted the user to admin, nope. Tried running as admin, nope. What ever I try I am unable to get adobe to save as jpeg on this users account on the computer. Short of rebuilding their entire profile, does any one have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

You should upgrade to version 9 with all patches.

Unable to "save as jpeg" in Acrobat 7 with Win7-64bit

I am using Acrobat 7.1 with Windows 7 64 bit. I already know that I can't install the PDF printer. But now I can't even open a PDF and SAVE AS a JPEG file. I thought I was doing this with the current configuration, but perhaps I am remembering from when I had a different version of windows on my computer.
If this can be done, does someone have any idea what could be wrong and how to fix it?

Unable to save exported Aperture TIFFs as jegs when opened in Photoshop

I'm using the latest version of Aperture and need to do major retouching of the images I have edited using Aperture. When I "export versions" of the images, I normally choose "TIFF-50% of size" or "TIFF - fit within 1024x1024", but when I open them with Photoshop, after I worked on them I am unable to save them as a jpeg. The option just doesn't come up.
The only save options I am offered are - SAVE AS - Photoshop, Cineon, Dicom, FXG, IFF Format, Large Document Format, Photoshop PDF, Photoshop Raw, PNG, Portable Bit Map or TIFF.
Any idea why this is happening and how I can rectify? I need to use photoshop for my retouching and I don't want to have to export RAW files from Aperture, it's much simpler exporting a TIFF.

The tiff is a 16 bit file. Go to images/on the photoshop menu and convert to 8 bit. then the jpeg option will show up.

Since updating Firefox as suggested, when I 'save as' a jpeg, it automatically finds the folder and it's always the wrong folder. How can I disable this feature and go back to the original mode where it remains in the folder I choose until I change it?

For example, I saved a jpeg named 'picasso the guitarist'. I have folders titled A to Z. When I click 'save as' it might open the 'K' folder and I have to manually search the 'P' folder for 'Picasso' and save file. The most irritating thing is, when I 'save as' another jpeg of say 'pieter mother & child' it goes to another folder and does not remain in the 'P' folder, rather it goes to the 'X' folder or some other. This didn't happen before the last upgrade. Can I disable this new 'help' feature that is taking more time than the old version?

Current Firefox versions remember the download directory based upon the URL, so if the URL changes then the default folder may be chosen if there hasn't been selected a download folder before for that server.

Photoshop CS2 won't save files in JPEG format

I have Windows Vista and am using Photoshop CS2 Version 9.
Until today everything was working fine, but there are two problems.
1. Only today I have a limited amount of formats to save a .PSD file in:
PSD, CIN, PDF, RAW, PNG, and TIFF.
Whereas if I want to save a JPEG file per say as another format, I get the full list to choose from.
2. If I choose a layer on an image, not all the filters show up that I can run it through. The 'Artistic, Brush Strokes, Pixelate, Sketch, and Stylize' are not clickable.

You slipped into 16 bit mode. Try going back to 8 bit.

Unable to save the ALV layout variant and display of selection screen on F4

The end user wants to directly select the layout variant (SLIS_VARI). I have used the following code to display the layout variant on selection screen. But, I am unable to save the variant on ALV. Whenever I am trying to select the layout variants (by doing F4 on selection screen) its displaying "No Layout found".

The F4 will display you the existing layouts only. So you need to save the layout first & then execute the report again & check if you are getting F4 values for that field.
The Layout needs to get stored with variant.

Unable to save data entered in editable field of IW37N output

Hi Gurus,
I have made one of the fields in IW37N ALV output as editable using exit IWOC0004. When I enter the values in the field, I am unable to save the data to the order. The orders are getting successfully released but the values entered are not saved in database. Please help.

Discovered that the problem was with the Adobe version. Updated version to 8.1.1 and installed Active X control software and things started working.

It sounds like if you open Preferences in Word there will be a place where you can specify where to store autorecover files. Right now it sounds like it's pointing to somewhere that doesn't exist.

Blurry smart objects in Photoshop Save for Web jpegs

I create graphs, etc in Illustrator, place them as Smart Objects in a master Photoshop file before outputing Save for Web jpegs to use as PowerPoint slide backgrounds. Everything created in Illustrator or Photoshop through that process (Quality 80 or 100 with any of the SfW options on or off) Save for Webs are blurry when imported (at 100%) into PowerPoint. The only way I have been able to get anything crisp in PowerPoint was saving a Photoshop pdf. However, that was only the text created in Photoshop. The Illustrator Smart Object part was still blurry. Anyone have any idea on the best process to combine Photoshop and Illustrator files into one file for import into PowerPoint as a clean, crisp background? At this point I am open to all suggestions.

There are parts that are being added in Photoshop, hence going from Illustrator through Photoshop as a Smart Object and then onto PowerPoint. If I wasn't 5 months down the line and just nearing deadline, I would recreate everything in Illustrator. Assuming that I have to continue at this point down the Illustrator through Photoshop line of working, how do you designate pngs or jpegs to be 220ppi. Jpegs have a 1-12 quality (and 12 is still blurry).
Note regarding PowerPoint, I embed the full-page image into the background so others that are using this can't move (by accident or on purpose) the background.
