Unable to scale down mask

hi.
i created a mask in my footage by using pencil tool
now i want to scale it down (NOT to shrink/expand masked area)
tried this: selected footage layer and went to Transform - Scale, and even if i scale down to -500%, nothing happens. Then went to Mask - Mask Expansion, but this is not the feature i need. I need to scale down the object which i've masked out
also tried to add adjustment layer and linked my mask layer to it and then tried to scale down Adjustment layer - no effect, simply nothing happens
using AE6 trial version on win7

tried to follow the steps provided there: "To transform any number of vertices, select the vertices that you want to transform and choose Layer > Mask And Shape Path > Free Transform Points."
Free Transform Points is greyed out when i try to select it. Made sure that footage layer is selected before i went to Layer > Mask And Shape Path >
cant understand what is going on here. have 3 layers in the following order: Adjustment layer, Shape layer and and the footage layer where some object is masked out. Mode is set to Normal on all three.
i can change the form of the mask, increase/decrease feathering, etc, but i need to scale down the object which is within mask's boundaries. Maybe its not technicaly possible or smth?

How to scale down number of pages in ps files

I am having ps files that are havings 4 to 8 pages per file. Each page may contain just 5-6 lines and therefore though the content in total is not too much but there is unnecessay paper wastage.
Is it possible to make some changes in code inside ps files throgh notepad so that the content may be restricted to lesser number of pages. I am having programing skill in vfp,need guidance that what changes i need to do in ps script and where.

Main content text does not scale down on iPhone

Hello my Dreamweaver friends,
I'm working on a site for a friend -- a simple fixed width layout (header, footer, sidebar and main content). It looks good on Safari and Firefox. But on the iPhone and iTouch the text in the mainContent area does not scale down to size with the <h> tags and the links on the Spry navigation bar. Is there a reason for that? Is there something I could do so that it all scales down?
Another problem is that the right border I put on the Spry Navigation menu doesn't appear on my version of Internet Explorer.

Ipad mini unable to shut down

Try to reset the iPad:
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Page that scales down

Even though I haven't yet uploaded these pages I'm working on, when I preview (in Firefox, for instance) my index page scales down in comparison to the others and yet they are all copies of each other to which I have still to change the content...I have tried to overwrite this index page (the one that scales down) with one of the others but that didn't work either; everytime I click the link "home" I get I slight shrink of the view in the browser.
Can somebody please tell me what's wrong with it?

Try giving your page a min-height of 100% in your css. This will at least make sure it is the size of the browser window. However your 'content' will still place the divs in the same position unless you give your footer a top-margin. there is a way to always have the footer at the bottom of the page.

Unable to scale wallpaper in iOS7

Has anyone else run in to this issue? When setting a new wallpaper, I'm unable to scale it appropriately... assuming it's a glitch that can be fixed?

Not to be fussy, but it's Caches, at least on this MBP.
the problem with com.apple.desktop.plist is that it seems to be kept in RAM and/or Cache and is recreated on logouts. I'm pretty sure that that plist is the culprit.
If that doesn't work I would log out of that account log into a different admin account and delete the plist and the cache folder from there.
I am sure it's a corrupted file and clearing Cache is an excellent idea.
This is for the OP and anyone else interesed:
One way to do this is to force the system to perform the function "periodic"
Open a terminal and enter:
sudo periodic daily weekly monthly
you might need to enter your password.
If anyone is curious, enter
man periodic
and read the manual.

Design right alignings and scales down when viewed on ipad

I have a centered design web portfolio which works fine on all systems except Ipads. On an Ipad the home page right alighs and scales down when it should be centered. This only happenes on the home page, the other pages are cented and the correct size.

On the web, less is defintely more.
First main image is 1,009.38 KB (1,033,604 bytes) in file size.
Nobody wants to download a 1MB image if they don't need to. Especially people on mobile devices who may be paying through the nose for bandwidth.
I would suggest limiting yourself to 6-9 thumbnail size images per page and optimizing them in PShop with Save for Web properties. You'll need to sacrifice a bit on quality to keep file size to a minimum. I like to keep thumbnails around 20KB and full size images under 100KB.
You could then deploy a modal window viewer like Fancybox to display larger images on click/touch.

In the "classic layout", at the bottom of your email list, there should be a thin gray bar with a little gray dot in the center. Hover over that spot until the cursor turns into the "bar arrow" and drag it upward. You messages should appear below like the second screenshot. Alternatively, if you are using the newer version of Mac Mail, you could change your Preferences> Viewing to the "new layout".

Don't try to turn the iPad off until you reboot.
On your iPad, Did you try holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears? If you didn't try it, go ahead and do it. Wait until the Apple logo appears on the iPad screen before you let go of the buttons.

Any scroll down menus freek out when opened and i am unable to scroll down the screen.

Hello, any scroll down menu,c such as where the URL goes, freeks out when I click on the URL space or the down arrow to look at my history. This happens with all these types of menus. And also I frequently am unable to scroll down my screen. Even now as I am typing the curser keeps going back up to the top of the box where I started this message. I Fully scanned my computer and my computer protection didn't find any problems so I am thinking it is Firefox
