Unable to scale wallpaper in iOS7

Has anyone else run in to this issue? When setting a new wallpaper, I'm unable to scale it appropriately... assuming it's a glitch that can be fixed?

Not to be fussy, but it's Caches, at least on this MBP.
the problem with com.apple.desktop.plist is that it seems to be kept in RAM and/or Cache and is recreated on logouts. I'm pretty sure that that plist is the culprit.
If that doesn't work I would log out of that account log into a different admin account and delete the plist and the cache folder from there.
I am sure it's a corrupted file and clearing Cache is an excellent idea.
This is for the OP and anyone else interesed:
One way to do this is to force the system to perform the function "periodic"
Open a terminal and enter:
sudo periodic daily weekly monthly
you might need to enter your password.
If anyone is curious, enter
man periodic
and read the manual.

I cannot scale my photos for the wallpaper on the new " totally awesome" ios7. Unless I'm missing something it just doesn't work. It's not intuitive, it not user friendly. Why would you release something that is not functional and meets user requirements. It certainly Is not move and scale. and while I'm ranting who was the solution architect genius that decided for all 16 gig phones an upgrade that takes 3.1 gig to install was a good idea. Seems to me the SA's must get a portion of product sales in their bonus. My upgrade path just became much easier. Oh and you can help out please post a reply.

Unable to scale a pic to "full size" when choosing a home & lock screen.

Why can't I scale a picture when I'm given the opportunity to "move and scale" a picture when making it my home and lock screens? If I pinch it to include the whole picture, it snaps back to a zoomed in version and over half of it is cropped out. Is this a problem with iOS7? Will it be resolved soon? Thanks.

This is apparently a bug in iOS 7. Take a look at the posts to the right under "More Like This". Several users have come up with creative workarounds for this. Hopefully it will be fixed soon in an upcoming release!

Cannot move and scale wallpaper on my mini iOS 7.1.2

Yesterday I updated my 16GB iPad mini to iOS 7.1.2. Today I wanted to change the wallpaper but can't get the mini to "move and scale" the photo I chose. I have tried the suggested remedies posted for the last iOS update (this past fall): turn off "Reduce Motion," try again (no dice). Edit the photo choosing the 5x7 aspect ration, save, try again (no dice). Go to photos and send the photo to wallpaper, try again (still no dice).
Using two fingers I can move and scale the image but when I remove my fingers from the screen the image reverts to its original size and position.

What happens when you try?
Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.

Unable to edit ical using ios7

Since downloading ios7, I'm completely unable to edit any event already typed into ical. Under the last system, I could tap the event and get an edit button. Now nothing happens. I can't delete or edit anything. Any ideas? Anyone else with this problem? I'm using the lastest ios7.9.3.

Thank you for providing so much detail about the issue you are experiencing with the Calendar app after upgrading to iOS 7. You should have the ability to edit calendar events you created, and I have a few steps I recommend to troubleshoot this issue.
The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the Calendar app, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Resizing wallpaper for ios7.03

Since ios7 has been installed my wallpaper is blurry. I want to resize the jpg to have the letters clear. I use a photo of myself with contact info as my log in wallpaper so folks who might find my device can return it to me if they are honest. But with ios7 the words cannot be read. I have photoshop so can redo the photo to optimum size for ipad (and for my ipod touch). What are those specs?

Here is a workaround, although it requires access to image editing software, i.e. Photoshop or equivalent...
For anyone fluent with Phiotoshop it's easy. First use an image with pixel dimensions appropriate to fill the entire iPad screen. For the iPad Air this is 2048 (tall) x 1536 (wide). With this image open add extra black canvas to the borders. For those unfamilar with adding canvas, in the menu bar IMAGE > CANVAS SIZE. For simplicity, check the "Relative" box. Then add, say 4 inches to width and 4 inches to height. I added black canvas. This provides excess girth to the image dimensions so that when iOS 7 squeezes it for whatever reason it does, the result is the normal sized image you can't currently display by scaling, since this seems to be "broken".
A bit of a nuisance but an effective workaround.

FCP X unable to scale any still image beyond 400%-why???

Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem.
If I try to scale any image in the Inspector window, FCP X doesn't let me scale beyond 400%.
Why does FCP X place this limit? And is there any way it can be bypassed?

Click and hold on the numeric scale value. You will see blue arrows which allow you to exceed 400% eitherr by clicking on the arrow or moving the mouse while you hold the mouse button down. You can also click on the value and type in a new value.

We have created graphs and passed parameters dynamically to change the Scale of Y-Axis. We could not do the same with the X-Axis. Is there a limitaion with the type of graphs and the dynamic scaling of x-axis when it comes to Oracle Reports Builder?

There is no difference in how Oracle9i Reports treats the dynamic scaling of X-axis verus Y-axis. For example, for the dynamic scaling of Y-axis, if you used somethinng like (inside the Graph.xml)
<Y1Axis axisMinAutoScaled="false" axisMinValue="&<P_MY_MIN_YAXIS_VALUE>"
axisMaxAutoScaled="false" axisMaxValue="&<P_MY_MAX_YAXIS_VALUE>"/>
Just introduce another tag X1Axis with all the remaining attributes the same, and you can get the parameters for X-axis scaling dynamically.

Settings > Wallpapers & Brightness, and then you have to tap the default wallpaper at the lower left side of the page. That takes you to another level and you can tap for more optional papers or tap your photo albums to select a photo for wallpaper.
It takes some playing around but try taping and then when you get a larger selection you can swipe through.

Unable to scale down mask

hi.
i created a mask in my footage by using pencil tool
now i want to scale it down (NOT to shrink/expand masked area)
tried this: selected footage layer and went to Transform - Scale, and even if i scale down to -500%, nothing happens. Then went to Mask - Mask Expansion, but this is not the feature i need. I need to scale down the object which i've masked out
also tried to add adjustment layer and linked my mask layer to it and then tried to scale down Adjustment layer - no effect, simply nothing happens
using AE6 trial version on win7

tried to follow the steps provided there: "To transform any number of vertices, select the vertices that you want to transform and choose Layer > Mask And Shape Path > Free Transform Points."
Free Transform Points is greyed out when i try to select it. Made sure that footage layer is selected before i went to Layer > Mask And Shape Path >
cant understand what is going on here. have 3 layers in the following order: Adjustment layer, Shape layer and and the footage layer where some object is masked out. Mode is set to Normal on all three.
i can change the form of the mask, increase/decrease feathering, etc, but i need to scale down the object which is within mask's boundaries. Maybe its not technicaly possible or smth?
