Hello, any scroll down menu,c such as where the URL goes, freeks out when I click on the URL space or the down arrow to look at my history. This happens with all these types of menus. And also I frequently am unable to scroll down my screen. Even now as I am typing the curser keeps going back up to the top of the box where I started this message. I Fully scanned my computer and my computer protection didn't find any problems so I am thinking it is Firefox

If VoiceOver is on, you scroll the screen using three fingers.

Scrolling a pane in a web page

I phone safari does not show scroll bars because you can pan the page in both directions.
What about panning/scrolling a pane withing a web page? On a PC browser this will show as double scroll bars. The outer one for the entire web page and an inner one for the pane.
Note that the pane in question is not a text field where I can drag the magnifying glass around to scroll.

This helps. Notice the double finger gesture is not real time as with the single finger for the entire web page?
The frame scrolls about a second or two after the gesture and this makes it a bit difficult to pin-point when to stop the gesture to get to a specific/desired portion of the frame.
Should this be expected? I think the double fibgire scrolling should be equally real time.

Unable to scroll down when image is full size in the preview frame.

Since the recent update to Premier Elements I am unable to use the 'down button' on the slider bar to scroll down to the next image when the image is at full size. I am still able to scroll up.

Scroll bar prefs are in Appearance, mouse behaviour is in Keyboard & Mouse, and finally check the settings in Universal Access also.
If all those check out, are you running a 3rd-party utility that might affect mouse / scroll behaviour? Use Activity Monitor to see everything that is running on your machine.

Too many addresses - unable to scroll down in error message

I composed a message with a couple of hundred addresses to send on gmail. The message bounced back with an error message saying that the email could not be sent with the server. The list of addresses that could not be sent start about 1/4 of the way through the complete list that was on the original message which gives me the impression that the list was simply too long.
I know there are instructions at the foot of the list, but I can't find a way to scroll down to the bottom of the list because it goes off the bottom of the screen. The message no longer shows in drafts or the sent file. When I do a force quit and restart the message comes up in the same format and I'm unable to do anything with it because the instructions are off-screen below.
Any ideas on how to deal with this?

For some reason, when I'm on a web site, the margins now make it impossible to scroll down, unless I make the page smaller, but that's only a temporary fix.

Yesterday, I noticed that Firefox was loading web sites that took away the bar to scroll down. The only way to fix this is to adjust the page size, however, this is only temporary. The scroll bar disappears as soon as I take my mouse off.

Unable to scroll down to the end of my playlist with i tunes

I must say that I could not be more disappointed with the new i tunes 11. I have been using if for four months and have had nothing but problems which, as I am a professional DJ who uses it everyday, is really bad news. Unlike the old itunes creating playlist is a laborious process. I just bought a load of tunes from the Itunes store for a podcast I have to do but, to create a playlist and drag from another playlist (i.e.purchased) seems impossible. Once one clicks on view sidebar the plalylist disappears so you have to search for every single tune. Can anyone help ? Is there a solution ? I have read the tutorials and have used I tunes for over a decade.To add, now I can't scroll down to the end of my playlists even to click on create or get to any playlist past those beginning with the letter S. I hope someone from Apple sees this as the old I tunes was a far better product. Creating a seperate window for playlist and drag and drop is far easier. If I could find another application other than I tunes I would drop this like hot bricks.Apple have taken a huge leap backwards in my opinion.

Open the playlist. Click View > Show View Options, and set "Sort By" to "Manual Order."
Then you will be able to move songs up or down your playlist by drag-n-drop.

It was the only reason, ever i have faced...
And other possibility is regarding tbc-lines, but i saw that you were doing this using describe table.
Sometimes the table control will not show all the records in internal table(case while changing number of records in internal table each time )..
At this case you have to set the lines in TBC.. using
describe table itab lines tbc-lines.
tbc-lines is very useful, if you want to enable a new blank line in table control, just do this
tbc-lines = tbc-lines + 1.
Explore all properties of table control it is very useful.

I am unable to see text in boxes on web pages after selecting from a drop down menu. eg country, however typed answers are visible

In the box below which asks the question "This happened" I selected 'every time Firefox opened" and no text appeared in the text box. After selecting a few times on different answers they started to work except for answer three which I have selected now but the box appears clear, that is, no text is visible on my screen.

I should also note something that I did that I think may be causing the default wiki and blog theme to not appear. In Server Admin, selecting Web, then going to Settings and on the Web Services tab, I changed the Data Store path to:
/Library/WebServer/Documents
I did this thinking it would create the html pages in the directory that the placeholder page was indicating that I should put my web page, but I think that is wrong, now. Does anyone know the default path for the data store?

Scroll Bar missing on Safari web pages and unfamiliar screen saver image

I recently upgraded my OS X from Panther to Tiger v. 10.4.11 and upgraded to Safari 3.1.2. Now the scroll bar down the right side is missing from the open web page in Safari. Where did it go and how do I get it back?
Also, unfamiliar images appear, something like a screen saver when I leave my computer for a
few minutes without putting it to sleep or shutting it down. It's a black/white/gray portrait of
a woman and as the picture moves around the screen, the image magnifies. I have no idea
where this image came from nor how to get rid of it. Any ideas?

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it finishes.
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, or things don't load/run, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates again, or even do an A&I if you have enough free disk space.

Repair Permissions after re-install, then reboot again.
If all the above do not resolve the problem, then it's time for an Archive & Install, which gives you a new OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space...

Unable to clear file upload fields in web pages.

When visiting any site which has the option to upload a file, I am unable to clear the field if I change my mind about uploading a file.
A website has a BROWSE or UPLOAD field and button. Pressing the button brings up the open file dialog. I select a file and select open in the dialog. If I then click on the field containing the path/file, I am presented with the open file dialog. I cannot clear or edit the field on the web page.
I originally thought it was something with the web page I visited, but then found another page did the same thing.

If you try the same technique on the page at the link provided by your client, it will allow you to bypass the html code that may be doing an outdated compatibility check and the movie may play. Or it may tell you that you are missing components (codecs, compressors etc.) in which case, post here again.
