Unable to see 'contacts widget' on homescreen - N8

Hi all,
When I turned my phone on today (N8), the contacts widget was not on my home screen, as before. Instead there was just a blank area. When I click on this area, it gives me the optin to remove, so as to suggest that there is a widget there. When I remove it and then select fav contacts widget in the widget list, there is just a blank area again.
I did sync my contacts and back up last night...
Can anyone be of help?

If a problem returns after data is restored, then it is often corruption in the user data which causes this. Restoring the data without ticking the "Settings" option can help, otherwise the corruption could be in the particular data affected by the issue, in this case contacts.

Also, WEBEX option is not available in iPad Settings > Privacy
IOS version is 6.1.3, we tried uninstall and installing the Webex plug-in but no help

Unable to see contacts in SIM card (NOKIA 1661)

hi i recently gotten a nokia 1661, i was using a LG crystal phone previously and i had just transfer my 3G sim card over to this nokia phone. to my dismay, quite a handful of my contacts cant be found ._.
when i transfer my sim card back to my old phone, i noted that all my contacts were in my sim card
so what is extactly the problem here?
i m lost pls help me thanks!

Cannot see contacts from email address

When I setup an additional email I am unable to see contacts associated with that address.

Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is app and data safe!
OR
Delete the email address/contact and set it up afresh.

Follow these instructions step by step to prepare a Mac for sale:
Step One - Back up your data:
       A. If you have any Virtual PCs shut them down. They cannot be in their "fast saved" state. They must be shut down from inside Windows.
       B. Clone to an external drive using using Carbon Copy Cloner.
          1. Open Carbon Copy Cloner.
          2. Select the Source volume from the Select a source drop down menu on the left side.
          3. Select the Destination volume from the Select a destination drop down menu on the right
              side.
          4. Click on the Clone button. If you are prompted about creating a clone of the Recovery HD be
              sure to opt for that.
               Destination means a freshly erased external backup drive. Source means the internal
               startup drive.
Step Two - Prepare the machine for the new buyer:
          1. De-authorize the computer in iTunes! De-authorize both iTunes and Audible accounts.
          2, Remove any Open Firmware passwords or Firmware passwords.
          3. Turn the brightness full up and volume nearly so.
          4. Turn off File Vault, if enabled.
          5. Disable iCloud, if enabled: See.What to do with iCloud before selling your computer
Step Three - Install a fresh OS:
     A. Snow Leopard and earlier versions of OS X
          1. Insert the original OS X install CD/DVD that came with your computer.
          2. Restart the computer while holding down the C key to boot from the CD/DVD.
          3. Select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu; repartition and reformat the internal hard drive.
              Optionally, click on the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
          4. Install OS X.
          5. Upon completion DO NOT restart the computer.
          6. Shutdown the computer.
     B. Lion and Mountain Lion (if pre-installed on the computer at purchase*)
         Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because
                   it is three times faster than wireless.
          1. Restart the computer while holding down the COMMAND and R keys until the Mac OS X
              Utilities window appears.
          2. Select Disk Utility from the Mac OS X Utilities window and click on the Continue button.
          3. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list. Click
              on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
          4. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on the Security button
              and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
          5. Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
          6. Quit DU and return to the Mac OS X Utilities window.
          7. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
          8. Upon completion shutdown the computer.
*If your computer came with Lion or Mountain Lion pre-installed then you are entitled to transfer your license once. If you purchased Lion or Mountain Lion from the App Store then you cannot transfer your license to another party. In the case of the latter you should install the original version of OS X that came with your computer. You need to repartition the hard drive as well as reformat it; this will assure that the Recovery HD partition is removed. See Step Three above. You may verify these requirements by reviewing your OS X Software License.

That is often because they don't belong to the iCloud account on your device. Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section). If you have the Default Account setting there, what accounts are listed and which one is set as your default?

I, too, am looking for the same answer. Since I created my first Apple ID when I purchased an Apple G4 computer, my login has always been the first part of my email address. When setting up my iPad for "Find my iGadget", I was required by that login to change my Apple ID to the full email.
Now, any attempt to use iTunes, App Store, or whatever, from my iPad defaults the ID to the old one, with no way I have found to change it.
Since the rest of Apple Corp is just fine with the change, and everything linked to the old one is now linked to the new one, I doubt one is required to use the old one in iTunes for anything. Fact of the matter, the whole issue is that it recognizes that the old ID no longer in existence. There just is no intuitive way to make it all better.

Unable to see widgets

Hello to everyone!
I have a problem with my Yoga 8 Tablet (B6000). If I install any app that has widgets, I cannot see the widgets in the app draw. I do not know why I have this problem and I have seen, some other users have had this problem after they uninstalled the Accuweather App.
Does anybody can help me with this issue? It's a pity because I'm pretty happy with the Tablet, but if I cannot find a solution in the next week, I'll return the tablet and I will buy another one from another brand.

Do you have an SD card installed? If so, are your apps being stored on that card?
I believe I had this same issue with certain apps and when I moved them from the external memory to the internal memory the problem was corrected.

Can I resize the Favorite Contact widgets om the homescreen?

Just got the Maxx. I love it! However, I'm not impressed with the Favorite Contact Widget. I only need 2 and I'd like them to be larger. I don't like the size and the fact that they're connected. Anyone know how to modify them?

You can't modify that widget the way you want, but, since you only want two, maybe an alternative would be a separate widget for calling (texting) each of them?
Long press on the home screen, select Shortcut>App Actions>Direct Dial (or Direct Message) and then your contact.
Would that work for you?

Lync client gets user photos by first querying the Address Book Web Query (ABWQ) service on the server, which is exposed through the Distribution List Expansion web service. The client receives
the image file and then copies it to the user's cache to avoid downloading the image each time it needs to be displayed. The attribute values returned from the query are also stored in the cached Address Book Service entry for the user. The Address Book Service
deletes all cached images every 24 hours, which means that it can take up to 24 hours for new user images to be updated in the cache on the server.
To troubleshoot your problem, please follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to
“X:\share\1-WebServices-1\ABfiles\000000000\000000000” folder. (ABS file share)
You should see some photo files in this folder as the following screenshot.
2. Delete all the files in this folder.
3. On test PC, delete local cache files.

4. Sign-in Lync with the test account.
5. Go back to the ABS file share, check if there is any Photo file in the folder.

ok sorry everyone but i solved it myself but the solution is so nuts i've posted it here to help others who have the same problem.
to setup a comcast imap account on your iphone:
go to mail, contacts, etc in settings
under accts, select add account
select "other"
new screen, choose "add mail account"
now on the new acct screen you must enter your name, email address and password for your GMAIL acct ! (yes i said your gmail acct !, or some other acct with a NON comcast address).
hit next
then the acct verifies
when verified a screen will open with all the acct settings for this acct AND @ the top of the screen are the 2 buttons > imap or POP
select imap and THEN CHANGE ALL THE ACCOUNT information to the comcast account !
then hit next and the account will take a couple minutes to verify but it will verify and now you have a comcast imap acct set up on your iphone. The problem must be that when the iphone sends the initial verify acct info to comcast (if you enter that information first) the comcast server is simply not setup yet to signal the iphone that there is an imap option.

How do I reinstall/fix stock Contacts widget?

I have a LG Revolution running Android 2.3.6, the latest software I believe. The stock "Contacts" widget started to act up from few weeks ago. After
I select the "Contacts" widget and try to select on any of the contact entry, the widget crashes, with a error message such as the following pop up:
Sorry! The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
"Force close"
Reboot doesn't solve the problem.
Has anyone else seen the same? Since this is the stock widget coming with the OS, I am not sure how to reinstall the widget. I sure hope I don't have to
reinstall the OS.

Hi ttz. We don't want your widgets acting up, so let's see how to get it acting right. With a stock widget, there really isn't a way to uninstall it, but you can try to remove http://vz.to/12Yeqlp then readd http://vz.to/13ccQvd the widget. Many times something this simple can help to reload the phone's connection to the widget and get you back to your helpful shortcut. The most recent software update, VS910ZVB, that came out at the end of April had a lot of fantastic updates that may result in the need to simply reload a little of your information. Try the steps at http://vz.to/ykQROO to make sure your software is as up-to-date as possible.

Unable to see the csv option while scheduling the report

I'm using BO XI 3.1. While i'm trying to make a schedule of a report, i am unable to see the csv export option. Is there a way to enable in the csv option?

Scheduling the reports in CSV formate is possible in BO XIr3.1.
I would suggest you to contact to your BO Admin to check weather you have proper rights or not, in CMC scheduling part.

Unable to see my bills online for 2 months now

I had BT broadband, Vision and a new phoneline installed back in September. When I placed the order online I chose online billing (which I am now massively regretting!) Since everything was succesfully installed I have been unable to see my online bills.
I can log into the "myBT" area but it then says I need to verify my email address, which I then do but when I click the link in the email it takes me to a screen which says that due to technical issues my email address cannot be verified, and it asks me to try again later. After three weeks of trying again later I sent an email to BT and was then phoned by one of their advisers. They failed to see my problem and passed me on to another adviser who eventually said that "everyone was getting this message" and that it would be "resolved shortly". Three weeks later and the problem is still not resolved and I'm still getting the same message.
What makes this even more frustrating is that last week I had £40 debited from my account by BT but I have no idea what this is for as my broadband should be free for three months, I've used the phone three or four times (all in the evenings or at weekends) I paid for a lot of my line reental up front and I only have the basic Vision package so I'd really like to know what I've been charged for!
Any help/advice would be massively appreciated, I really don't want to have to battle through another fruitless 20 minute phone call!

Just a quick note to say hello as anotherfrustrated new customer with exactly the same issue as the original post?
I will go through the care team and I hope this gets resolved, so far I had one call where the advisor tried to fix a problem I had not mentioned, one chat session where I was re-queued and then given a new phone number, and a call to this number whose solution was to log on, change the email address for contact and try again. Needless to say this also didn't work.
In a word,shambolic and I am yet to see my first bill.
I will report back when/if this is resolved?
