Unable to see files in Google docs

Just set up my OJ6500A+ on wireless network to take adv. of apps like Googledocs. I had a prob. getting printer & Googledocs to talk to ea. other. Printer kept acting like pswd was bad. I fixed that, and got GoogleDocs to open. I uploaded docs. to GoogleDocs but printer thinks folder is empty. Am I doing something wrong or is there yet another setting somewhere that needs to be changed?

I think you are using a standard account for google docs.
The file type supported for standard account are :-
- Google Presentation
- PDF (.pdf)
- Google Document
You would need to check this option "Convert documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and drawings to the corresponding Google Docs formats" when you upload documents.
Perhaps you can try to upload the docs and convert it to Google Docs format and see if the printer is able to files?

Uploading exported Excel file to Google Docs

I exported a spreadsheet as an Excel .xls file, but Google won't let me upload it giving me an error:
We're sorry, but we were unable to upload this document.
If you have the desktop word processor installed on this computer, there are two other easy ways to bring the file into Google Docs:
Using the Clipboard
Open the document in the desktop word processor.
Type ⌘-A to select the contents of the entire document.
Type ⌘-C to copy it to the clipboard.
In Google Docs, create a new document.
When the Edit window appears, type ⌘-V to paste it in.
Save as HTML
Open the document in the desktop word processor.
Choose File > Save As...
In the dialog that appears, select Web Page (*.htm; *.html) for the "Save as type."
Save the file, and make a note of the file name and folder, as you'll need it next.
In Google Docs, choose Upload again from the main page.
This time, specify the html file you just made in the desktop word processor.
Using either of these approaches, you should now have the document open in Google Docs.

Anyone else have this problem?
It seems Google doesn't like the Excel version that Numbers exports. The file will open fine in Excel and if I re-save it from Excel it will upload no problem to Google Docs.

Unable to see files in iTunes File Sharing

I'm using the latest version of iTunes, and have both an iPad and iPad2, both fully upto date with the latest version of IOS. Everything I now write about applies to both iPads.
Basically, I'm unable to see files that are sent to iTunes from the iPad. The ipad is connected to the PC, I select the file I want to send from the appropriate app, and then "send to iTunes". The file never appears under the app that sent if from the file sharing section of the device in iTunes. Even forcing another sync doesn't help either.
Here's the strange thing, if I unplug the iPad, then reconnect it, go back to file sharing page in iTunes, and click on the appropriate app, the files show. However, if I click onto another app in the file sharing list and back to the original one, the files have disappeared.
By way of example:
I connect my iPad to iTunes, after it automatically syncs, I select the iPad, choose the apps menu and scroll down to the file sharing window.
On my iPad, I open Pages, select a document and send it to iTunes.
Back on my PC, the file doesn't show under the Pages app in the file sharing window.
I resync the iPad, still no change.
I disconnect the iPad, reconnect and let it automatically sync again.
I navigate back to the file sharing section and click on the Pages app. Low and behold, the file is now showing.
I click onto any other app that is listed in the file sharing section, then click back to the Pages app. The file no longer shows.
It will remain like that until I unplug the ipad, and connect/sync again.
Exactly the same thing will happen regardless of which app I choose that supports file sending to iTunes.
Finally, just to confuse matters further, the reverse is also true. Adding a file to the file sharing section doesn't appear in the list, and the iPad can't see it - until I unplug and reconnect again. After that, same issues happen as already described.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

This is a bug in the Windows version of iTunes which I reported to Apple nearly a year ago (back when iTunes 10 came out), but they refuse to fix. I see the problem with my iPhone 3GS and iPad 2.
Basically file sharing stops working if you click on more than two or three apps in the file sharing list. The work around is to disconnect the iOS device and reconnect it. Then make sure to click only the app you want to transfer to/from. If the document list goes blank, disconnect and reconnect again.
It's really annoying and I wish Apple would fix it. Supposedly it was also broken for the Mac version of iTunes and was quickly fixed there, but not for Windows.

Upload file in google docs is ignored in FF 4b4 (OK other browsers and previous versions of FF)

I am using Firefox 4.0 Beta 4 and think there is a problem with the "Upload file" functionality in google docs combined with the latest beta4 release of FF. It worked up until beta v3. I have also installed v3.6.8 and seems to be a problem on all such evironments. I use Windows XP. I tried to disable adblock plus but same problem persists and I have to use say Opera.
Google docs provides an excellent gateway to publish stuff to my blog and to publish plain office and pictures. I have tried to disable "Popup blocker" but no difference.
Any help most welcome.

Since upgrading to firefox ver. 3.6.8 can't upload files to Google Docs, whose help forum indicates many firefox users are having this problem since upgrading to 3.6.8: You can click on the "Select files to upload" link but nothing happens.

Right-clicking on the link doesn't offer options to open anywhere (new tab, etc.)

I download firefox 5.0 and now I'm having trouble dragging and dropping PDF files into Google Docs and I can't view the PDF once uploaded. I had no problems with this in the previous verion of Firefox

With firefox 5.0 I can't drag and drop pdf files in the google docs screen. When I do eventually get a pdf file uploaded I can't view it. I get "no preview available". In my previous verion of firefox (4.something) I had no problems with this and I was able to drag and drop and after uploaded I could view the entire file.

Thanks one again. I know you helped me the last to. I do have the Deja Vu font set in my folder. I downloaded and the last time. So I don't know if there is supposed to be more or not, but those were installed with Windows-XP after my reformat.
This is really driving me nuts. as I've done several re-formats on my computer and several friends computers and even upgraded hardware so I am not necessarily a software or programming expert, I am somewhat advanced when it comes to computers in general and can usually diagnose the problem but these font's are the problem and they never were before.
I did see in another forum that if you had a Dell Computer and did the Microsoft update for the onboard video card driver that it could be the culprit, but I have that disabled being I have a much better graphics card so the updates from Microsoft for the onboard video weren't installed.
It' a Dell Dimension 3000 with an Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller so I don't believe it is the culprit being it is disabled. The actual video card that I am using is a PCI Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT with 1 GB Memory. And I didn't have any problem before.
I appreciate the help. But still can't get things to work. Live Help Chat doesn't open for another two hours so maybe they can do "Remote Access" or something and can check setting and help me. But if you come up with other suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

Can't see detail on Google Docs

Hello. First time I haven't brought a Mac and although I am trying to be positive and realistic about the level of service I will get from the Touchsmart I must say it hasn't been a great experience so far.
Within a month of using it, it had to be returned to the HP shop due to bugs. It took a mamouth amount of phonecalls to get the computer fixed.
Still now the following issues arise, in order of importance:
Documents are blurred in Google docs and HP say this is the software companies fault. I haven't ever experinced a hardware company passing the buck in this way neither have I had issues using standard software on a known brands device
The Windows home button still randomly moves to applications at its own will e.g. Skype
Applications such as Spotify are extremely slow to load
Generally my productivity on basic matters is at least 50% slower
I'd love to return the product but HP won't allow it. Maybe someone could help with the first three points?

Unable to see files or write to external SD card since 4.3 upgrade

HI. I have an external SD card plugged in to my SIII.
It's been working great for months.
A week or so ago, an upgrade was pushed down to my phone, 4.3 to be exact.
Since then I can't see files on my external SD card.
If I plug a cable into my computer and browse to my phone's external card I can see them on my PC.
I've searched around and backed up my files, unmounted, reboot, remount. Reformat the card, unmount & remount.
No change.
I've formatted the SDcard on a PC and no difference.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
The card is a SanDisk Ultra 64gb microSD card, but it really isn't card specific.
I put my older 16gb card that I used to use and it can't read any files on there either.
The phone DOES see the card and cant report free space, it just can't do anything with it since the last update.
What can I do?

After I formatted the card I can copy files via the PC & cable, but they don't show up when viewing from the phone.
If I use an app like Astro File manager (which did show the files correctly, prior to the 4.3 update), it shows the word "empty" for truly empty folders but it just shows a blank empty folder for folders that have a file that I copied in via the PC & cable.
If I try to make a folder in Astro, it looks like I did, but it doesn't show in Astro.
If I look from my PC, it shows the folder that I created on the phone via Astro.
Once again, everything was working great up until the pushed 4.3 update.
The Old card does show up fine on other phones.
I haven't tried the 64gb card on another phone yet, but the card isn't the issue.
As I copy over files to the card via the PC and cable, the phone does reflect the data used/free space correctly.

Unable to see files in "Export Request Attachments " for other users

Hi,
I am trying to see the files that the users have exported.
Navigation:: Admin -->Import and Export Tools -->Export Request Queue.
and then trying to view the files.
I am getting an error as "Access denied.(SBL-DAT-00553)".

Debendra, you will see this error for both export and import request attachments if you are not the owner. This is currently being evaluated and a patch may be coming to change this behavior.

Unable to see files

I'm running 10.5.6 and backing up on a Western Digital 620GB external hard drive. When I check to see that it is in fact working as it should I find 2 folders for each date: a Macintosh HD folder and one with my user name on it. That's where all my files should be, but nothing is there. What am I doing wrong? So far, I'm thinking that Time Machine is a big waste of money.

The folder on the external drive should be named Backups.backupdb, not Time Machine Backups. Inside that should be a folder with your user name and inside that, folders of each incremental backup it has done.
The starry abyss screen should be accessed by selecting Enter Time Machine from the menu on the top right that is a clock with a counter-clockwise arrow icon. What happens when you Enter Time Machine? What is on your external drive? Is there a folder named Backups.backupdb?

Unable to see Z3+ in Google Play(?)

When you press on Install for an app or game, you a box will appear at the bottom of this box you will see choose a device, simply press the arrow keys and select the Device connected to that Gmail account.

Unable to see file system on touchpad over USB from Windows 7

When I plug in my HP touchpad running 3.0.4 via USB to my PC running Windows 7 the device appears in device manager, but I don't see a new drive appear with a given drive letter under my computer.
If I look at device manager in windows, I see two webos devices. One is under disks. The other is an unknown device with a question mark next to it.
If I look at the disk from the disk management interface, the disk appears, but doesn't seem to have a drive letter nor a filesystem on it.
If I plug the touchpad into an XP box, it wants to format the drive... which loses my apps.
What did I break? Any way of fixing this?

Before you disconnect the cord from the PC, are you correctly choosing "Eject", or the incorrect "Safely Remove Hardware" from the tool tray?
I've heard the latter can cause confusion on a PC...

Scan to PDF on Lion opens EMPTY or corrupted on win7 & Google docs

I have scaned a file to PDF on Lion and when I sent the file to my win7 it opens empty. Any idea how can I have my PDFs compatible with the rest of the world?
I even tried to open the file in google docs and I was able to recover some parts but it is corrupted there.

Go to /Library/Internet Plug-ins
Move the PDF Browser plugin from the Internet Plug-ins folder to the Trash then restart your Mac.

Forms created in Adobe LiveCycle are blank when viewed on a BlackBerry or previewed in Google Docs

Hello All.
I have searched the forums and all over the internet and have yet to find a solution.
A customer is using Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.1 to create a custom PDF form and email it to a distribution of users.
When they open the file from their mail client it opens using Adobe Reader and all of the information submitted in the form is viewable.
If the user opens the same file on their BlackBerry or views the file in google docs the data entered in the form is missing ie: the form is blank.
Is there a special way that the files need to be created in order to be viewable using other PDF distillers?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

There are two issues: Are the press releases being created in Reader or Acrobat? If in Reader was the extended features enabled in Reader?
If they were created in Reader with an enabled pdf file or Acrobat, then the problem is with the software on those devices and you would have to ask Apple or RIM, it is their issue.

Google Docs eStorage wont let me enter e-mail information

Hello,
I have a Officejet 4630 ePrinter. I have added on my account the eStorage app for Google Docs. The app said it was compatible, and added it to the printer. The printer shows "eStorage" on the "printables" menu.
The problem is the app will not let me log in. Once I hit "OK" for the app, it of course wants my google login information. However, no space opens us where I can type the e-mail information. I tried just pushing the buttons, but they do not start typing. My only option is to hit OK, where it tells me the information is incorrect. Or, the backbutton.
I wanted this app to be able to scan to the cloud. If there is an alternative I would be interested in hearing about it.
Any suggestions? Does this simply not work with this printer?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I gather that you are unable to log into the Google Docs app on the front panel of your Deskjet 4630.
HP is aware of this and is working on a resolution. I do not have an ETA on when or what type of resolution that will be.
