Unable to see Macintosh HD with Alt Option

Hi,
I am novice user in OSX Systems, and i trying to install the OS from the scratch but i don t know why ... i dont see the internal HDD to install
I tried two diffrent options, after erase the HDD with GUID partition using the Disk Utility Option.
First i boot the system with cmd + r option and then with internet access i made the download of necessary files to install, after several hours of download an error appear:
"Unable to find recovery disk!!"
Second, i made a bootble disk with usb pen with the same tool (disk utility) i erased the pen with GUID partion, and i did the restore with .dmg image.
When i boot the system using the usb pen, i noticed the i can't see the internal Macintosh Disk so i select the USB disk to start the installation, after a few moments an error appear !
"There was a problem installing "Mac OSX".
I really, really appreciate any help on this, i m trying to figure out why i can't install the OSX system ... why i cannot see the internal Macintosh Disk when i boot the system using USB Pen
I replaced the internal HHD disk but the behavior is the same ...

With a Option key boot you get the Boot Selection screen that looks like this.
What shows up are drives/partitions that the Firmware Thinks it can boot from. That Base System entry isn't really OS X or any thing you can Boot from.
Holding down the Command + r keys at startup will do one of 2 thing. Boot the system from the built in Recovery HD partition or if you are lucky and there is no partition containing the Recovery HD files it might then boot the system from the online internet system. That is IF your model year Mac can access that online system, some can and some can't.
Also if your system can access that Online system holding down the Command + Option/alt + r keys at startup, and keep them held down until you see a globe on the screen, will take you directly to the Online system.
Not sure why you are booting from a USB drive? Does that drive have a version of OS X installed on it? Did you make a copy of the Recovery HD files on it using the Lion Recovery disk assistant program.
Re-reading your intial post I see you made the USB drive with Disk Utility. It has been my experience that using disk utility to clone one drive to another works sometimes and mostly NOT, for me at least. So I use one of those Cloning software programs.
If you boot to the online system use Disk Utility to Repartition the internal drive As One Partition to Remove all traces of any OS version, and Recovery HD files, that are on it. Then use the Option to Reinstall Mac OS X and if you get a error to the tune of something like, this system isn't in the data base then your Mac did not come with Lion Pre-Installed when it was new. It came with an older version of OS X and you will need the origiinal system reinstall dvd discs.

Hi Sairam,
Check the checkbox Convert database Null values to default and Convert other Null values to default under Edit -> Report Options and then refresh the report.
If this does not work you can contact SAP Support.

Unable to see 'Search Dialog Box Component' option

In trying to follow Thilo Brandt's article to 'Develop a Serach Component for KM Search iView', but I'm unable to see Content Management -> User Interface -> Mapping -> Search Dialog Box Component. Is there something I need to 'turn on' so that I can view that option?
We are using EP6 SP2.

Unable to see pdf files with Lion upgrade

Since upgarding to Lion I've been unable to see my bank e-statements in Safari or Firefox. When the pdf file appears to load the result is a black statement in Safari and a white screen in Firefox. A right click does not allow me to download the file for viewing. When I spoke with their electronic support the said they have had many calls regarding this problem with newest OS X Lion upgrades. His suggestion was to uninstall or remove Adobe Reader v10.1.1 and allow Safari to read the files. Has anyone found a solution to this problem rather than completely abandoning Adobe Reader?

MD04: Unable to see Purchase Orders with Item Category S

Hi,
Whenever we create Purchase Orders with Item Category S (3rd party), they are not visible in MD04 Stock Requirements list.
Is there anyway we can get the Item category S Orders to be displayed in the MD04 list?

NETWORK MAGIC UNABLE TO SEE OTHER COMPUTERS WITH NM IN THE SAME NETWORK MAP

I have two computers, one desktop (iMac OS X/Win 7 x64 bootcamp) wired connected and one PC laptop wireless connected in the same network through Linksys WAG320N, both running Network Magic ver. 5.5.9195.0-Pure0 (11.2.9195.1 12/13/2011) with the exactly same firewall settings allowing Pure Networks Platform Service to runs in Private and Public networks. The problem is that the both machines don’t see each other with Network Magic installed and therefore valuable features as screen shots or network speed test are not available. I already uninstalled NM in both equipments and reinstalled it, but the issue persists.
Anyone facing this same issue or have a clue on how to fix it?

As Barney-15E has suggested, this looks very much like 2 routers, and some systems talking to router A and some systems talking to router B.
Bonjour protocols will NOT cross a router boundary, so systems on router A will only see other systems on router A, and systems on router B will only see systems on router B.
The recommented network setup is to make the router connected to the broadband connection be the ONLY router in the home and configure all other routers so they are in "Bridge" mode. That is to say, the other routers are configured so they just extend the primary router's subnet.
How a home router is put into bridge mode is different depending on the make and model of router.
In your case, I think the Belkin should be the primary router, and you should put the Time Capsule into "Bridge" mode. Applications -> Utilities -> Airport Utility -> Time Capsule -> Internet -> Connection Sharing: Off (Bridge Mode).
Once you put the Time Capsule in bridge mode, all your systems should be on the same Belkin subnet, and now Bonjour will see all the Macs in your home.

Unable to see assign users or groups option under a groupin Shared services

I have a bizzare issue related to Shared services.
In Application 1 (on PROD env), after I select the group, right-click and go to properties, under "group members" and "user members" tabs, I do not see the options to assign access to any of the existings groups (we have about 50+ groups). I can only view the existing users/groups, even though I have been given admin/proviosioning rights, while the other admin can assign access to the same application.
While for Application 2 (on DEV) I am able to see all these options and I am able to assign users and groups to any of the groups. I do not see them as a browser issue, as I have opened both these links on the same IE window, but on different tabs.
Unfortunately, I can't test App1 on TEST/DEV, as we do not have its copy on here, it is all on PROD and App2 is only on DEV.
Any ideas?

I would of thought it was provision related, can you try setting up another user as a test with the correct provisioning such as provisioning manager of the different product areas and see if the new user works.
If it does then it points an issue with your account or the way it has been provisioned.

Unable to see ESS content with an end user

Hi All,
When I try to see my ESS content with an end user, it is giving me the following error:
com.sap.xss.config.FPMConfigurationException: Read of object with ID portal_content/com.sap.pct/srvconfig/com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.ess.employee_self_service/com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.skills/com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.fpmapplications/com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.skillsapplication failed.
Part of the stack trace also says,
Caused by: com.sapportals.portal.pcd.gl.PermissionControlException: Access denied (Object(s): portal_content/com.sap.pct/srvconfig/com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.ess.employee_self_service/com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.skills/com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.fpmapplications/com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.skillsapplication)
It is coming for all the applications in ESS.
I think it is a permission issue, so i gave the end user permission to the user in the PCD as well in the directory where all my ess contents have been kept.But still it doesn't work.
And only when I assign the end user with Admin right, it works which should not be the case.
Kindly suggest a possible solution for this.Your efforts will be appreciated.

No videos recording and unable to see new pictures with iOS 6

I recently updated my Iphone 4S with iOS6 and when I try to record a video the app crashes. Is there anything that I may do to resolve this situation?
On the other hand pictures taken are not visible on the camera roll. I only can see old pictures but no newones.
Is anyone having the same issues?
Any clue?

Followed every one of the many branches to this link. Not a single thing helped. Ultimately completely removed Firefox from my desktop and then reinstalled it (importing my address book from my laptop).
Makes me a lot less of a fan of Mozilla, if the program is this inherently unstable.

One thing that you can try is installing a 'fresh' version of OS X Lion. Boot into your Recovery partition (holding down the command and R keys whilst booting) and elect to install OS X from the Recovery screen. You need not erase your hard drive and you should not lose any of your data.
Oh, and just as a precaution, I would use Disk Utility, once you're in Recovery mode, to verify your hard drive before trying to install the OS again.

Are you talking about older pictures you took before turning photo stream on? If so, they don't sync via photo stream. You have to sync them to a computer's itunes then sync to other device.

Unable to see export to avi option

HI all,
Earlier i was able to export flash movie files to avi movie. but now unable to see that option. Please tell the solution.

I followed the exporting of the .fla file to .mov and after several minutes wai - stalling on 'Recording Flash Content' - i get a massage like '....out of memory' ....which is IMPOSSIBLE because I have more than half the memory. Im only opening Flash so the RAM is not used much as well.
I never really had a problem doing that with Flash CS5.5
So I am exporting the SWF and go online and use Flabacco browser conversion for free to convert the SWF to MP4. If you know another way I appreciate any info. thanks

Lync client gets user photos by first querying the Address Book Web Query (ABWQ) service on the server, which is exposed through the Distribution List Expansion web service. The client receives
the image file and then copies it to the user's cache to avoid downloading the image each time it needs to be displayed. The attribute values returned from the query are also stored in the cached Address Book Service entry for the user. The Address Book Service
deletes all cached images every 24 hours, which means that it can take up to 24 hours for new user images to be updated in the cache on the server.
To troubleshoot your problem, please follow the steps below:
1. Navigate to
“X:\share\1-WebServices-1\ABfiles\000000000\000000000” folder. (ABS file share)
You should see some photo files in this folder as the following screenshot.
2. Delete all the files in this folder.
3. On test PC, delete local cache files.

4. Sign-in Lync with the test account.
5. Go back to the ABS file share, check if there is any Photo file in the folder.
