Unable to see ODS Object in BEx.

Hi all,
I am unable to see an ODS object in BEx, which is an active ODS Object with data in modelling.
Can any one show me a way out, how to find this ODS object in BEx as well.

When I switced on th same..following is the eror message:
The BEx Reporting was switched on for ODS object 0RPM_DS02 ---> long text

System response
When activating ODS object 0RPM_DS02 SIDs have to be got for all characteristic values in the ODS tables, provided that these characteristic values are not already assigned any SIDs. This is required because the SIDs are used in BEx Reporting.
The activation of ODS object 0RPM_DS02 can thus take a while longer.
Procedure
If the activation of ODS object 0RPM_DS02 terminates due to timeout you have to activate the ODS object with the program RSDG_ODSO_ACTIVATE in the background.
I'm working on this, is there any other way out for the
same.

i have tried cache refresh but the issue still persists.

Check in SLD whether required software component is assigned to your techincal system and business system.
If it is not assigned to required technical and business system:
1. Assign the Software product to your technical system in SLD.
2. Add the Software component to your business System in SLD.
3. Go to Environment --> Clear SLD Cache in Integration Directoty..

BEx - I can not see ODS object

Hi Folks,
I think I have a silly problem but I do not find the solution.
I created a query for an ODS in DEV and then I migrated it to Production. The problem is when try to open the query in the Bex in production I can not see the ODS so neither the query. the query was migrated successfully to production. The ODS has the option reporting BEx checked.
any idea?

BI Content Issue: Unable to see few objects..

Dear Friends,
I have following 2 issues.. can any one help me with your experience?
1) For few reasons i would like to activate 0OB* infoobjects. I am unable to find them in my "business content" - any idea where can i get them?
2) I understand that one of my datasource is migrated to 7 and then reverted back to 3.5. For this datasource, I went into Business content to activate a transfer rule.. I am unable to find it.. any reason?

1. Can you pleaqse check if you are having correct BI content version which contains these objects. Also you can confirm this by searching for these objects in metadata repository -business content objects
2. For your datasource- check if this is activated and replicated on source system side. Also check if you have selected he correct source system in business content installation screen (yellow box with X marked on that)

Unable to see ESR objects in the IR

Hi,
I am not able to map the ESR objects in the IR through the business components the only SWCV I can see listed for Inbound and outbound objects are that of "SAP Basis 7.11".
Need help to fix the SWCV is necessary or what in the ESR SWCV have I not configured to that is not makin the link available.

Procedure:
1.On the initial SLD screen, choose New Business System.
2.Enter a name for the business system.
3.From the list displayed, select Web AS ABAP as a technical system type.
4.Select your new technical system as the technical system for the business system.
5.Check all the components of the selected product (SAP R/3, 4.6C) and choose Next.
6.Choose a PI system as the related integration server and choose Finish.

Unable to see the uploaded file using gos object

I uploaded the file to server by using the below code. But I am unable to see the uploaded file. Please help me out hot to view the uploaded files (list the file name and view the content) (i want to upload the file by getting the url as input and by clicking the button)

Significance of BEx Reporting flag in ODS objects

Hello Masters,
I would like to know in detail, the Significance of BEx Reporting flag in ODS settings. What happens if we flag, and hat happedn when we dont ?
If, Transaction Data is loaded into the ODS, without loading the relevant Masterdata in advance, are SID's created, as it happens in cube ?
IS there a connection between SID's and ODS objects ?

If the indicator is not set, no SIDs are generated for the new characteristics when the data in the ODS object is activated. This optimizes the performance of the activation process, but the ODS object is not available as an InfoProvider for queries. Turn the indicator off for all ODS objects that are only being used for further processing of data in other data targets or that are being used in InfoSets.

If you are still experiencing problems after checking your settings, you may need to update your SAP GUI patch. This solved my problem when I couldn't see the object list selector.

Unable tp create multi provider for ODS objects

Hello Gurus,
I want to create a multi provider or an Z ods object. When I do the same it does not show me the Z ODS objects. But it shows me the Standard SAP ODS for creating multi provider.

Hi,
For the ODS that you are trying to use, check if the BEx reporting has been turned on in the ODS object settings. If it is not, then you cannot use it in a multiprovider.

BEx Authorisation: ODS objects

Hi,
RS_COMP only has a line for specifying authorisation for InfoCubes. Is there not an equivalent for ODS objects. RS_ODSO does not provide the same nature of authorisation.

specify the ODS name: the matchcode is a little bit unfaithfull. For more infos see OSS Note 540720 - "FAQ: Information on S_RS_COMP and S_RS_COMP1". There's written:
1. How can I create authorizations for other InfoProviders besides InfoCubes? The authorization objects only provide an INFOCUBE field.
The authorization object was created when only InfoCubes existed in BW, which explains why this field was selected.Since you can no longer change authorization objects, this name remains even though, technically speaking, the field is used to check the InfoProvider.This means that you can specify any InfoProvider (such as InfoCube, InfoSet, MultiCube) with the INFOCUBE field.
... and I would add "ODSs"!

Can not see ODS infosource in the system

Hello,
I am unable to see Infosource of my ODS under the infosources tree. This is only happening in DEV and PROD. In QA system i could see it and also create additional infopackages.
The bottom line is I want to be able to create extra Infopackages under it other than what system creates.
Is there any setting i have to do or any ideas?

go to rsa12... settings-- display generated objects -- click on radio buton show ods generated objects and hit the arrow key..

Use
When creating and changing an ODS object, you can make the following settings:
BEx Reporting
With the BEx Reporting indicator, you determine whether the ODS object is immediately available for BEx queries. This optimizes the performance of the activation process, but the ODS object is not available as an InfoProvider for queries. Turn the indicator off for all ODS objects that are only being used for further processing of data in other data targets or that are being used in InfoSets.
ODS Object Type
Select the ODS object type. You can choose between standard and transactional, whereby standard is pre-installed and transactional is only meant for special cases. You can switch the type as long as there is still no data in the ODS object.

Unique Data Records
With the Unique Data Records indicator, you determine whether only unique data records are to be updated to the ODS object. This means that you cannot load a data record into the ODS object the key combination for which already exists in the system u2013 otherwise a termination occurs. Only use this setting when you are sure that only unique data records are to be loaded into the ODS object (for example, single documents). A typical application of this is in the loading of mass data. It improves the load performance.
Note
You can also deselect this indicator again (even if data has already been loaded into the ODS object). This can be necessary if you want to re-post deleted data records using a repair request (see: Tab Page: Updating). In this case, you need to deselect the Unique Data Records indicator before posting the repair request, following which you can then reset the Unique Data Records indicator once more. The regeneration of metadata of the Export DataSource, which takes place when the ODS object is reactivated, has no effect on the existing data mart delta method.
Check Table for the InfoObject
Here the name of the InfoObject is displayed for which the ODS object is also the check table, if necessary. You can specify this when creating an InfoObject. See also Tab Page: Master Data/Texts in the InfoObject maintenance.
Automatically Setting Quality Status to OK
With this indicator, you can determine that the system automatically sets the quality status to OK after loading data into the ODS object. You should turn on this function. You should only deselect this indicator if you want to check the data after it has been loaded.
Automatically Activating the ODS Object Data
With this indicator, you can establish that the data that has Quality Status OK be transferred from the activation queue into the active data table, and that the change log is updated. Activation is carried out by a new job that is started after loading into an ODS object is complete. If the activation process terminates, there can be no automatic update.
Automatically Updating Data from the ODS Object
With this indicator, you can establish that the ODS object data be automatically updated. Once it has been activated, the data is updated in the data targets. An init. update is carried out automatically with the first update. If the activation process terminates, there can be no automatic update. The update is carried out by a new job that is started once activation is complete.
Note
Only activate automatic activation and updating if you can ensure that these processes do not overlap.
If you use process chains to guarantee serial processing of the process, these settings are not supported for the object (with the exception of setting the quality status). Then you have to include the automatic processes as process types in the process chain.

Error while activating ODS Object

Hi,
I have loaded the data from R/3 to a ODS Object and the activation of ODS failed due to the following errors as shown below..
-Value '20060 ' of characteristic 0CALQUARTER is not plausible
-Error when assigning SID (details in long text)
-Activation of data records from ODS object ZODS_02 terminated
-Error getting SID for ODS object ZODS_02
I could see that Calendar Quarter as 20060 in PSA. How should i get rid of this error. Any idea would be appreciated.

you are getting this calender qurter from SAP right... check in RSA3 fro the your Datasource. if you are getting same value like '20060'. you can do one thing... you can set 'No Update' in Transfer Rules. you can write a routine in Update Rules for populating the data for calender Week.
you can call some standard function modules or you can write a small routine. If you want to write a routine check this thread...Re: Date to Quarter
Possibilites:
1. updtae rules
2. if RSA3(PSA) shows the value of the Quarter as '20050', if it is custom extractor(Generic using FM) you can change this.
3. If it is Standard Extractor or Generic Extractor (using either view/table or Infoset) you can enhance this. you can do the same thing in SAP Side.

Unable to see pipe line steps in the SXMB_MONI

i have done the development and quality work for my p i7.1
i was testing the messages in the Quality System.
So i went to SXMB_MONI to see the messages.
After double clicking on the successfully processed message, it shows
pipe line steps.
in that I am able to see
1.inbound message(CENTRAL)
2.XML Validation inbound channel Request
3. call adapter
4. Response
but i am unable to see
1. Receiver Determination
2. Interface Determination
3. Receiver Grouping
4. Request Message Mapping
5. Technical Routing
whereas in the develoment system i am able to see the above all.
is there any configuration i have to do in the SXMB_ADM?

can i know that Configuration objects were created/ imported by using transport mechanisum?

Unable to see data in Table in smartform

Hi all,
I need to create a smartform where I have to print the header details at the start and then below that details for all line items for a particular document.
so i have data ;ike :

field 1 : field 2:
Field3 : field4:
field5: field6:
Item data :

field1 field2 field3 field4 -->Item 2
field 1 field2 field3 field4 -->Item3
For the Header data,Im planning to use a template in a secondary window.
However for the item data,i need to use a table (As i know the no of records only at runtime).Also another reason for usng table would be that I dont need the header on each flloowing page but only the Line item details on the following pages.
Now my ques is :
1.I hav ecreated the form and put some constant /texts to just test the form.I am able to see the texts/data in the header data.However Im unable to see the data for the Item i.e. in the TABLE.
I have used template for Header details which I can see.
I dont know what Im doing wrong.Is it because in the DATA tab under TABLES,I have given an interna table but there is no data in the table?
I have defined only 1 line type in my table an dthat has 4 cells (as I need to print 4 item fields under the Item data)
PLease let me know what I am doig wrong because of which Im unable to see the item data in table form.

Have you used any exists?
in exists is there any system date kind?
Can you try to run your report thru RSRT and use debug option there.
before reporting please check your all connected targets have data for reporting.
mean at targets-->request tab, reporting symbol was there or not.
Any master data objects included in multi provider?
if yes then please check those, if any ACR was running then it may cause you.
if possible try to develop simple query with as per needs(mean to see 2015 data only).
As my guess selections/filters migth be hidden, please check those.
