Unable to see Planning application under calculation Manager

Hello All,
I created a Planning application in workspace and choose the Sahred Service Project as APS server.Now I want to create business rules.For that when I m lunching Calculation Manager from workspace, I m not able to see the appliaction that I had created before ,under Planning option of Calculation Manager.

I think you created a classic planning applications. Calc manager will not recognize classic planning applications in version 11.1.1.2 and prior.
You need to create a planning applications via EPMA and then you will see this in calc manager. If you have already opened calc manager, right click on the Planning node and do a refresh to synchronize the applications from EPMA.

I have successfully created and deployed an EPMA planning application,but this application was not seen under planning node in calcmgr.
As per my knowledge EPMA app by default uses(deploys) calcmgr.So any one let me knw where could i look in to fix this?

Are you accessing workspace url remotely on client machine?
Can you try accessing the url on the server and check whether you can see the app in the Calc manager?

Unable to see planning application and dimension menus under navigate tab

Dears
Unable to see planning application and dimension menus under navigate tab in EPM 11.1.1.1 workspace.
Is there any configuration lost?
All EPM service have already started.

I also don't see the menu under "Consolidation" or "Planning" applications. I can naviaget to these applications from Navigate -> Application ->Consolidation or Planning and I see a box with up arrow and down arrow. If I keep my cursor between these two boxes, or the boundary, sometime I could start my applications in these two modules. I checked context.properties in \Hyperion\home\deployment\Tomcat5\workspace\webapps\workspace\conf folder.

I also removed # character in the last four lines but I cannot see my aplications under "Consolidation" or "Planning.
This is in Hyperion 9.3.1 environment all my websites are working. Workspace, Shared Services etc. I checked all my servies and they are working ok.

Unable to find any planning application in Calculation Manager

Hi All,
I had configured Calculation Manager in hyperion 11.1.2. I logged into Workspace and I select the calulation manager *[workspace->navigator->administer->calculation manager].* Through these selections I got System View wizard, in that when I tried to expand the Planning under the Name tab, I am unable to find any planning application.
Note: I have already created two planning applications.
Kindly guide me how to overcome it.

LCM migration - Unable to see "Planning Dev Applications" Under "App group"

----- Situation ------
* We have hyperion 11.1.1.3.24
* Objective i- trying to perform a LCM file-migration from our DEV environment to UAT
* DEV has only one PMA enabled Planning Application (“budget”), few FR reports & other related artifacts.
----- So far --------
* Successfully Exported these 4 (Shared-services, EPMA, Planning & FR) from our DEV
* Successfully IMPORTED first 2 (Shared services, EPMA).
* Although the migration-Status shows failed in my case, noticed all the artifacts have been successfully Migrated. (Noticed Similar claims have reported in other posts as well.)
But, I am stuck on the Third Step, Planning Artifacts Imports. Since, I don’t see “Planning Dev Applications” Under “Application Group” (in shared-services console).
What Should I do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Still Checking -
Tried to create a New Application Group (Under shared Services / Application Group) in our UAT. However, only getting the following options though.

Business Rules
Default Application Group
Essbase Studio Server
Essbase:Database server
Foundation
Reporting Analysis
I need to create a New Planning Application Group (in our UAT). Still checking on how to create one.

Can't see application in calculation manager

We are testing moving from Hyperion 9.3.1 to 11.1.1.3. We have created two new applications, one using EPMA and the second as a classic but with Calculation Manager. I have set the advanced settings in the classic application to calculation manager and have restarted planning, but I still cannot see the classic application in Calculation manager, only the EMPA one.

Yes, we have done that and created another application to test again to no avail. Oracle support has sent on to development for us; we'll see.

Unable to see the application in BPM Workspace for Sales Quote tutorial

I have created the Sales Quote tutorial steps and deployed the process. The Enter Quote Details user task is in the "SalesRep" role and I have assigned a user from WebLogic user store to "SalesRep" role in the BPM Organization artifact.
In order to kick off the process, I logged-in to BPM workspace with the user I have assigned as "SalesRep" role but don't find the Sales Quote application under the "Applications" tab.
I am using 11g PS4(11.1.1.5) and didn't seed the demo users, instead just created the user using WLS console.
Any thoughts why the user is unable to see the application in BPM Workspace?

Check two things:
1. Login to Workspace as weblogic and click the Administration link at the top to verify the role is actually set to a user (just to double check this).
2. Login to EM, click the SalesQuote composite, scroll down and click the EnterQuote human task component, and click the Administration tab.
This shows you if there is a task form URI associated with this human task. If not, the initiate link won't show up in the Applications menu in Workspace.
If not, you can either deploy again from JDeveloper, making sure you have selected the task forms in the deploy wizard and making sure the deployment is successful in the Deployments log window.

Unable to use runtime prompts in calculation manager

Hi All,
I am unable to use runtime prompts in calculation manager (11.1.2.0).
In Variable Designer I have selected global and created a Replacement variable with name "Entity" and selected Type as "Member" and Default Value as "Entity" from dimension list, checked the check box "rtp".
In FIX (i.e., Member Range) I’m selecting this variable for Entity dimension, and validating this rule without any errors. And during deployment it is not prompting for Entity and directly a message appears that deployment was successful.
My requirement is i should select a Entity member during runtime. Please help me out.

Unable to see the Application component 0PA_PD

Hi BW Experts,
I am able to see the application component 0PA_PD under application component PA in our development system. I have activated a data source under 0PA_PD in the development system. I then moved the data source to our test system (R/3). However in our BW test system, I am unable to see the application component 0PA_PD under PA in the modeling and hence am unable to replicate the data source in the test system.
Could you please advice what I have to do in order to see the application component in the test system.

I did replication of the top application component PA but still the 0PA_PD did not show up.
I also ran the RSA9 and still the 0PA_PD did not show up under the PA. Other application components like 0PA_BN are appearing under PA but not the 0PA_PD.
I checked the test R/3 system and the data source is available under the application component 0PA_PD. But somehow the 0PA_PD is not appearing on the test BW system.

I'm not able to see Planning Application in Planning Webclient

Hi,
I have created a Classic Planning Application in WorkSpace successfully and I'm able to see the same application after Refreshing application in EAS Console.
I have done necessary steps registering application with the shared services and I'm able to see that application in shared services project also. But I'm trying to access this application through Planning URL I'm not able to see Planning Application in Drop down list.
Could anyone suggest me what could be the problem for this?
We are using HYperion Planning Fusion Edition 11.1.1.2 Version.

So you have created a planning application and it was succesful, you go directly to planning and don't see it in the dropdown?
If so when you created the application what instance you set it against, if you have more than one instance and you have it against the non active instance you won't see the planning application in the drop down.

Then I Log-In to Workspace using [http://localhost:19000/workspace/index.jsp] the URL
After page load, I get an error as
"The startup document specified does not exist in the repository. Select a new startup document on the General preferences tab."
Then I click ok to proceed.
After that i get an error as
"An error occurred processing the result from the server".
Then I click ok to proceed.
"Could not find a Hyperion Reporting and Analysis server running on localhost at port 6800. Please verify your server connect string and confirm that the server is up."
Then I click ok to proceed.
After that I'm Unable to create Planning Application.
But how to rectify all the errors mentioned above.
Kindly guide me.

I'm able to create a planning application.Thanks John.

Unable to see Planning Classic Application Administration 11.1.1.3

Hi Gurus,
I successfully installed full suit of Hyperion 11.1.1.3
When I go to workspace I can see Classic Application Administration for Consolidation, but I cannot see Classic Application Administration for Planning.
I re-configured planning as well but same result.
I am able to open EPMA dimension library, essbase and all rest of the products.
Does anybody have an idea why is it happening.

I have created a planning application via classic app wizard (coz I can't see the classic app link in workspace). After created the app I was able to access directly via server:8300/HyperionPlanning but I was not able to see the application link under the navigation menu in workspace. I have check the contect.properties file in Tomcat directory and the hp is N and I changed it to Y but it is still not working. I checked the config utility under reporting and analysis but there's no option for web server configuration. Ther only 2 options that I have is FR server and Deployment to App server.
Am I missing a installation or assemblies for the web server/Apache install?

Hi,
You said "I have check the contect.properties file in Tomcat directory and the hp is N" and you changed it to Y, you shouldn't have had to manually change it, is it possible you can configure the "Configure web server" again.
You can test whether the apache plugin is working by going to http://<planning machine>:19000/HyperionPlanning/
or if you are using iis http://<planning machine>/HyperionPlanning/ and using the default port 80

You get back your MMC , please do the following steps.
1. Go to Run and type MMC.
2.Go to file and select add/remove snap in ( alt+m).
3.Click on add
4.Select the SAP system from there.
Save the MMC console which you have created now....This should work fine.
