Unable to see updates through Update Connection, Update Manager is working

When I bring up Update connection, I see my system has checked in, but I am unable to select (check the box) in the Systems tab. No count of available updates is showing. I have deleted and re-entered, reregistered the system several times and no change in behavior.
What gives?

The Portal is currently not functioning correctly due to an intermittent issue with the backend. We expect to have an update for this by the end of the week.

  • Solaris 10 x86: Update Manager quit working and shows empty warning message

    All,
A little while ago my Update Manager stopped working. When I check for updates, I am getting an empty warning message box that has literally no text but only a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in the upper left corner and an ok button.
Once confirmed, nothing happens. Googled the issue but so far no luck.
    Any hints?
    Thanks

    Hi there,
You mentioned that you have tried a few troubleshooting steps already, but you may want to take a look at the article below, specifically the section titled "If you are unable to access the Internet while connected to a Wi-Fi network"

    Hello Rajeev
    "Import manager guide"
    page 36:
"For XML source files, the source table list displays the nested elements defined in the XML schema."
    page 44:
"The XML Schema list includes an entry for each XML schema defined in the MDM Console."
    page 86:
"Ways in which the Source Hierarchy tree now reflects an XML fileu2019s structure include:
u2022 Top-level node is the source XML file
u2022 Tables in the tree represent nested XML structures
u2022All tables are nested under the root element
u2022 Fields in the tree represent data-storing XML elements
u2022 Joins and _ID fields are no longer added or required
With these changes, users no longer have to manually recreate the relationships implicit in the XML schema, as they are preserved by MDM and accurately reflected in the source hierarchy tree.
NOTE ►► To ensure that Import Manager correctly interprets the structure of an XML file, specify its corresponding XML schema file in the Connect to Source dialog (see u201CStarting and Exiting the Import Manageru201D on page 43 for more information)."
    page 188:
"When the source is an XML file, the Available Fields list is limited to nodes which are siblings (on the same level as), or children of (nested below) the currently selected Source Hierarchy tree node."
    page 213
"For example, if a source file is in XML format, Import Manager uses a tree in the Source Fields grid to depict the nested structure of fields within the associated XML schema."
Use XML schema for right node showing

  • HT4623 Hi, I'm unable to install updates on my iPad. I tried several times and i received a message saying I'm not connected to the internet. I have a wifi at home. I also tried through my MacBook Pro with no success.

I'm unable to install updates my iPad.

What model iPad and what version of iOS is it currently running?
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

iOS: How to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4623
If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

iOS 6.1.2 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet

    Can anybody please respond

Try this and see if it resolves the issue.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
    Then try again.

  • Unable to verify update. iOs 8.0.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet.

I have updated my iPad, my wife's iPad, but both our iPhones (5S) and (5C), give the following error every time we try.
"Unable to verify update. iOs 8.0.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet."
We are obviously connected to the internet because the updated downloaded on all 4 devices, but the iPhones will not go the next step.
    Wifi ok
    Connection ok
    Help ...

Apple has pulled the iOS 8.0.1 update due to problems.
iOS 8.0.2 will be released in "the next few days".
Loss of cellular service or ability to use Touch ID after updating to iOS 8.0.1 on iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus
We have a workaround for you if you have an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and you lost cellular service and Touch ID functionality today after updating to iOS 8.0.1. You can reinstall iOS 8 through iTunes by following the instructions below. We are also preparing iOS 8.0.2 with a fix for the issue, and will release it as soon as it's ready in the next few days.

Unless you are already using iOS 5, you have to connect to your itunes (on your computer) by cable, and will not have the update option in your iPhone's settings.

Hi, this has worked for a few...
Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2712
    10.7 & 10.8…
System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.
    10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
    10.4 instructions...
Is that Interface dragged to the top of Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations.
    If using Wifi/Airport...
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.
For 10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
    Click OK.
