Unable to see XML data in the zip file

Hi folks,
Willing to think about a way to automate the setup migration, I'm looking at the iSetup functionnalities in 11i.
Technically speaking, we upgraded iSetup to 11i.AZ.H.delta.2.
I did a simple extract of an FNDLOAD API (flex values) , everything works fine. At the end I got a zip file which contains several files including the ldt file containing my data.
Having done this, I wanted to test an XML API (chart of accounts, GL currencies), both completed without errors but when looking at the zip file, no xml file containing my data exists !
I'm quite sure that it exists because I can report on those data.
is this a bug ?
Thanks for your answer.

Franck:
This could be an issue with the zip tool you are using. You can ignore this as long as you can load and report on the given extract.

  • Flex 4 - is it possible to load xml data into the preloader and pass it to the application?

    or is there a similar method to load XML data while the preloader is active, so the XML data will be ready when the main application loads?

    i'm having great difficulty finding any relevant info from the forum and the web about accessing preloader variables from the application.
    is there a way to access the preloader itself from the application?
    It seems logical that the systemManager garbage collects it. If that's the case, how can i access the systemManager from the preloader and possible pass variables to it, then later access them from the application? this seems to be the best direction to tackle this problem. but maybe i'm overlooking another way?

    Hi,
    Check whether the release rule you are running has the option Auto Allocate (Inventory Tab) is YES.
    If it has NO then you have to run the Move Order Pick slip program with auto allocate move orders as YES and order types as pick wave for material allocation to happen.
    once material is allocated you should be able to view them in WCB atleast.
    After you find them in WCB but not on telnet then check you resource and device setup.

    Hi
    I think, the user is having authorization role problem or Do this
    <u>Also check, in the Extended search option, include the options, Bought on behalf of as checked ('X')  and Include Completed Shopping carts as 'X' with Time Frame - (LAst Year) and Status = ALL</u>
    <b>Refer to Transaction BBP_MON_SC (Monitor Shopping cart ) to check it whether it's pending in with whom and at what status.</b>
    <i>Also, alternatively, you can refer to BBP_PD transaction, Specify the Shopping cart number there in the Object_ID field and you will get the details.</i>

    I purchased creative lightroom presets. I see the zip file in my download file and I try to import to LR but it just keeps creating a bundle never giving me the option to import (greyed out). What am I doing wrong?

    Try unzipping the file first. I have no idea regarding your level of technical expertise so advanced apologies if this is really basic. A ZIP file is a compressed file containing one of more files within it. To access the files you will need to expand it. If you double-click on it first, it should open up for you. If it does not automatically expand, you can select the files and copy them to a new folder. The copy will unload them into an uncompressed form. Once they have been uncompressed, you should be able to import them.
    If the import is still giving you problems, go to your Preferences, click on the Presets tab and click the Show Presets Folder button. You can then copy your purchased presets into the folder shown. You will want to copy them to the User Presets subfolder.

    Hi,
    I had the same exact issue yesterday. From my install workstation I was unable to open the zip file but from another PC I could open it with no errors, so I've copied the archive I could open from my PC to my install workstation and still I could not open it.. very strange.
    The difference between my PC and the install workstation was that on my PC I'm using 7zip and on the install workstation I'm using WinZip.
    So I've extracted the zip file with 7zip on my PC then, still on my PC I've recreated a new zip file, transferred this to the install workstation and finally I could open it!
    Hope this helps

    PS: I posted this question also at ABAP Forum.

    Hi,
    First you need to define your ext prog in SM69.
    It is simple though, specify:
    Command name: ZZIPBIN
    OS: (your os)
    System command: /yourpath/zzipbin
    Extra params allowed: checked
    Then you need to code this:
    data: table TYPE zeu_t_btcxpm.
    CALL FUNCTION 'SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE'
        EXPORTING
          commandname                   = 'ZZIPBIN'
          additional_parameters         = param
          operatingsystem               = sy-opsys
          terminationwait               = 'X'
        TABLES
          exec_protocol                 = table
        EXCEPTIONS
          no_permission                 = 1
          command_not_found             = 2
          parameters_too_long           = 3
          security_risk                 = 4
          wrong_check_call_interface    = 5
          program_start_error           = 6
          program_termination_error     = 7
          x_error                       = 8
          parameter_expected            = 9
          too_many_parameters           = 10

          wrong_asynchronous_parameters = 12

  • A strange problem using the zip files

    I'm currently working on a university project with another student in which we use zip files (using the java ZipFile , and ZipOutputStream classes), we write certain data to a zip file (and verify that it is there by checking the disk). and later we read the zip file, and write it back , appending some data at the end of the file.
    although we see the changes actually take place on the disk , in one of the cases when reading the data we don't see the data we have appended before (although it is physically written on the disk).
    testing has revealed that this has something to do with the rename command or java being unsynchronized with the data actually on the disk (caching problem?).
    we use this code to preform the process:
    ZipFile zf= new ZipFile( ((Integer)lexicon.get(keyword)).intValue()+".zip");
              BufferedInputStream input= new BufferedInputStream(zf.getInputStream(new ZipEntry("data")));
              // create a temporary new zip file.
              ZipOutputStream zipst= new ZipOutputStream(new FileOutputStream( ((Integer)lexicon.get(keyword)).intValue()+".tmp.zip"));
              BufferedOutputStream output =new BufferedOutputStream(zipst);
              zipst.putNextEntry(new ZipEntry("data"));
              // stream the contents of the old file into the new file
              //(we do it this way because of the inability of the java zip file interfaces to add to an existing zip file)
              int current = input.read();
              while(current!=-1){
              output.write(current);
              current = input.read();
              output.write(entry.getBytes(false)); // add the new entrys.
              output.flush();
              zipst.closeEntry();
              output.close();
              // erase the old file.
              File toErase = new File( ((Integer)lexicon.get(keyword)).intValue()+".zip");
              toErase.delete();
              // rename the temporary file to the old files name.
              File toRename = new File( ((Integer)lexicon.get(keyword)).intValue()+".tmp.zip");
              toRename.renameTo(new File( ((Integer)lexicon.get(keyword)).intValue()+".zip"));
    we use:
    1. j2sdk 1.4.2_05
    2. running under libranet linux.
    any help will be appreciated

    the data does indeed get lost in the course fo rewriting the file, e assume this is some sort of synchronization issue with java and the file system.
    addig enteies to an existing zip file would have been great, if we had it a few weeks ago , we had to make do without this ability , and all of the code is already written and mostly working (except for the problem I mention) and we don't really want to rewrite the zip file access.
    additional testing has shown that the data gets lost when we use the rename command.
    very strange...
    thanks for the input

    The problem is in the delimiters in your text file. By default, Read From Spreadsheet File.vi expects a tab delimited file. You can specify a delimiter (like a space), but Read From Spreadsheet File.vi has a problem with repeated delimiters: if you specify a single space as a delimiter and Read From Spreadsheet File.vi finds two spaces back-to-back, it stops reading that line. Your file (as I got it from your earlier post) is delimited by 4 spaces.
    Here are some of your choices to fix your problem.
    1. Change the source file to a tab delimited file. Your VI will then run as is.
    2. Change the source file to be delimited by a single space (rather than 4), then wire a string constant containing one space to the delimiter input of Read From Spreadsheet File.vi.
    3. Wire a string constant containing 4 spaces to the delimiter input of Read From Spreadsheet File.vi. Then your text file will run as is.
    Depending on where your text file comes from (see more comments below), I'd vote for choice 1: a tab delimited text file. It's the most common text output of spreadsheet programs.
    Comments for choices 1 and 2: Where does the text file come from? Is it automatically generated or manually generated? Will it be generated multiple times or just once? If it's manually generated or generated just once, you can use any text editor to change 4 spaces to a tab or to a single space. Note: if you want to change it to a tab delimited file, you can't enter a tab directly into a box in the search & replace dialog of many programs like notepad, but you can do a cut and paste. Before you start your search and replace (just in the text window of the editor), press tab. A tab character will be entered. Press Shift-LeftArrow (not Backspace) to highlight the tab character. Press Ctrl-X to cut the tab character. Start your search and replace (Ctrl-H in notepad in Windows 2000). Click into the Find What box. Enter four spaces. Click into the Replace With box. Press Ctrl-V to paste the tab character. And another thing: older versions of notepad don't have search and replace. Use any editor or word processor that does.
