Unable to select 5.1 in speaker settings - only Front so

Hello,
i've got the following Problem with my Audigy 4 Pro.
In Audi HQ->Speaker Settings im Not able to select anything besides 2. Speakers. If i click on the combobox nothing happens.
I can activate 5. in the Windows Audio settings but after a system reboot this setting is set back automatically to "Desktop speakers".
As a result i only hear Sound from my Front speakers.
(I've connected the analog 5. Teufel concept e magnum with my audigy)
The settings did work some time ago but now they doesn't (i didnt do something special besides selecting one time "headphones" as my speakers while i used them on a LAN-Party)
No driver change or anything else.
I really hope that this is a known problem and somebody could help me out with this. (Allthoug i didnt found anything similar with the board-search)

I'm having the same problem with my audigy 2. I reloaded my computer and installed and updated the drivers, and when I go to the pull down box in Speaker Settings nothings there. Can anyone help?

I have the same problem. In your mail settings are the "Accounts" options also faded? My twitter option is also faded as well and I have no idea whats going on (iPhone 4). I seemed to have set up iCloud through some of my apps but I can't manage them at all in settings. My mail is also working fine but I can't log off of any of them.

Unable to install EAX console, speaker settings, e

I've had problems with audio files skipping and causing the PC to freeze. I'm down to testing the sound card. I've made sure the onboard audio is disabled in the BIOS and I updated to the most recent drivers for my Audigy 2, but I'm having problems bringing up the EAX and speaker settings.
Those are grayed out and unavailable in MediaSource. I did the cleansweep/uninstall procedures, but I still can't get those programs to work right. I downloaded the EAX console and speaker settings, but everytime I try to run them, they quit out since the required components weren't found.
I have my speaker settings set to 5. in Windows, but I have no sound coming from my center or surround speakers and the bass is too loud. I can't change these settings without the EAX console. What's the problem? Why can't I install/access the EAX console?

i know that we can monitor 'Integration server' in message monitoring rather than choosing integration engine or adapter engine.
But in our existing land scapes i am unable to select IS from the drop down list in message mapping.
using PI 7.1 SP 08.
please let me know that we need to set up additional configurations settings to select IS form drop down list.

There are no extra settings that needs to be done for this. I don't know whether you have noticed this, but IS option will only come up when you want to monitor the messages from the "Database" and not from the "Database overview" or "Archive".

I am unable to select a carrier on my 5s when roaming

Hi - I am unable to select a carrier under "settings" on my 5s. This is a problem I have had with my 4s, 5 and now 5s. I was told by my carrier that the reason was due to me using an old SIM card (32 bit) instead of the required 64 bit SIM card. I upgraded. My SIM card and there has been no change. This is frustrating as I travel a lot, and my network has special rates with MTN in South Africa, so I want to be able to select MTN as my carrier. Currently the phone selects the strongest network when I arrive, and then pretty much stays with that network, unless it loses signal and then it will select an alternative. My IPad 3 has this functionality, so I know it exists (and it was fine on my 3G and 4 previously). Any ideas?

selecting 5. and doing the channel test gives me every channel voice in both the front left/right at the same time
select 2. gives correct left/right speaker selection.
i have checked the settings in the audio control panel and it is set to 5. there
playing back a dvd in power dvd in 6 channel mode only gives the front left/right , no centre or rear. you only notice this when people start speaking and you can't hear them!
any ideas?

forgot to say, if i enable eax and play a stereo source, i get sound from the rears

I may need to Archive and Install but I'm unable to select the "Preserve Users and Network Settings" checkbox when selecting Archive and Install. It's simply greyed out.

Alan,
Try repairing disk and repairing permissions first. Then try the Archive and Install option again.
If that doesn't work you can always use a firewire drive and with carbon copy cloner, clone the drive. Then do a clean install and with the migration wizard import the users and network settings back. If you don't have firewire drive you can just do the Archive and Install without checking the "Preserver Users.." option. Your old users will still be in the "/Previous System/Users" folder.

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem

Hello, I have the Sound Blaster Li've! card (CT4780) and Cambridge Soundworks FPS2000 speakers (4. system) on Windows XP Pro SP2. I've installed the latest drivers from Creative Labs.
My problem: very little bass output from my subwoofer, even when I adjust the subwoofer dial to max. If I go to Speaker Settings in AudioHQ(?), the sliders for the subwoofer volume is disabled. How do I enable this?
What are the correct speaker to sound card connections? My speaker system only has left and right jacks, and a SPDF(?) digital jack, but my sound card doesn't have the SPDF output. I connect my left/right jacks to the appropriate line out/rear out jacks on the sound card. I can hear sounds from all speakers, but would just like to have the subwoofer output more sound.
The AudioHQ will only let me select a 4 speaker system type, and there is no 4. option selected. Maybe this is the problem? If not, then how do I enable the subwoofer volume slider in speaker settings of AudioHQ?

The Li've! Value is a 4.0 soundcard and doesn't have a dedicated subwoofer output. It can only dri've Front L/R and Rear L/R. The 4. speaker system generates its own subwoofer signal by extracting the bass from these channels.
Bass redirection, crossover frequency, AC-3 decode are only available on the Li've!5. SB0060 and don't apply to yer soundcard. AC-3 decode on the card would be nice, but Creative pays Dolby a licensing fee for every soundcard to support the feature and your card was sold before they struck their deal with Dolby so all previously sold cards don't support it.
Bass redirection and the crossover frequency is to send the bass from the front L/R, Rear L/R and Centre channels to the subwoofer. Since the Li've! models before the Li've!5. didn't have a subwoofer channel either none of this applies to yer card.
The centre channel volume is also missing because your card doesn't have a centre/sub output.
The only reason these features show up in yer drivers and applications is because all the Li've! and Li've 5. ( but not the Li've! 24 bit/7. ) models use the same driver.

Can't launch Mixer, Speaker Settings, etc with Audigy 2

I wanted to use headphones with my card, but found that I had no sound at all. Checking the speaker settings, I discovered that the dropdown wasn't populated. (I discovered a thread on Tom's Hardware forum mentioning this problem, but no-one seems to have a fix.)
I tried?resetting to defaults, but got an error message saying that not all settings could be restored. I also tried the "Repair" option in Add/Remove Programs without success.
I tried doing a complete removal (using the KB instructions)?and re-installation. Apart from getting an error message about PlxCore.plx missing (which I fixed by copying the file manually), the re-installation completed.
However, I find that I can't launch many of the utilities, such as the mixer, EAX console, speaker settings. If I right-click on the volume control icon, nothing happens.
There is a grey square at the top of my desktop that looks like it might be a partially-rendered toolbar.
I also can't see an uninstall option in Add/Remove Programs for MediaSource. None of the MediaSource programs will launch either, but I can't uninstall them.
I do have sound, but I have to use the windows volume control.
I don't know what else to do. I have been through the re-installation procedure half-a-dozen times.

I used the utility, but it didn''t help. (It also seems to have messed up my FireFox installation, for some reason).
After booting into safe mode and running the utility, I tried installing again (and got the plxCore.plx error again). Results were even worse than before - I still don't have a working installation, and now I can't even uninstall the drivers - I get an error saying "an event was unable to invoke any of the subscribers."

Latest versions of Speaker Settings/Calibration for Audigy 2

Hi all,
I've got an issue with my Creative Audigy 2ZS Platinum Pro, im currently using the most up to date drivers and additional software from the provided Install CD/Creative Update service, however im unable to calibrate my speakers from within the Speaker Settings tool, clicking the "Calicration Wizard" button results in nothing happening.
As such, i was wondering if an update to the Speaker Settings/Speaker Calibration software would help remedy this issue, i can find no such updates specifically for the Audigy 2 ZS range, however i was wondering if any of the other Install CD's for other Soundblaster Cards may hold an update version of these items, that would be copmpatible with my Audigy 2ZS Plat Pro, and hopefully help remedy this problem.

Speaker Settings Always Crash

Whenever I try to go onto Speaker Settings it always crashes so I am unable to change the setting on my speakers which means i am stuck on 2. speakers ALL the time unless i go into the control panel and change which i have to do after evey reboot!
I have re-installed everything possible including Windows and this has not fixed the problem. It is getting very fustrating and as I can see from other posts in the forum it appears that nothing is being done about it.
Problems have also occured since I installed the sound card included random crashes while playing games and times where the screen resolution decides to randomlt change and the volume randomly changes too.
I was wondering if anyone else has found a solution to this problem or if Creative have one themselves.

I would think the random resolution changing would be down to a graphics driver problem rather than a soundcard problem. Here are a few things to try (one at a time though).
) Go to Device Manager and make sure that the soundcard and VGA card aren't sharing an IRQ. It is best if the VGA card has its own IRQ. Switch the soundcard to a different pci slot if they are sharing.
2) Make sure you have got all the driver/software updates for your soundcard, VGA card and motherboard.
3) Try uninstalling the soundcard and removing it from the computer to see if the crashes still occur in games.
4) If you updated any drivers before the problems appeared, try changing back to older versions.
5) You could try installing Windows XP SP or SP2 if you haven't done so already.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
    1.    Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
    2.    Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    3.    Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    4.    Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
    5.    Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

Unable to select the value from a list item in forms 6i

Hi ,
I'am using forms 6i. I have created a list item in my form as below.
Item_type = list item
list style - popup list
elements in list - A, B, C,D
When I open the form all the above values are displayed for the list item. But I'am unable to select the item( either A,B,C,D).
Please let me know if I need to add any thing else programatically to acheive this. The block on whixh these values are diplayed is a datablock.
This is very urgent. Any suggestions would be of great help.

If you have a list item where you have:
Display A value 1
Display B value 2
Display C value 3
Display D value 4
If want to initial the value of the item to be A, you can set the initial value of the item to 1 in the property pane.
Otherwise in an initialisation triger have
:block.list_item := 1;

Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Software Issue: Volume Control, Speaker Settings, Equalizer, C

I installed my ZS Platinum back in December, everything worked fine for 2 months, then I started to hit trouble.
First, the driver began hanging when I took my headphones in/out, resulting in no sound from either output. I updated the drivers and this problem went away.
Then, I was gaming and all the sound stopped working. Reboots did nothing, so I tried to reinstall the drivers. This is how the problems began. The first time I uninstalled all my creative stuff, downloaded the newest drivers, and installed that. I didn't realize that I couldn't download all the bells and whistles off the drivers page.
So, I unistalled those drivers, and used my CD to install the drivers and MediaSource. I encountered the PLXcore.plx error during install and every time I booted Windows. Also, none of the extra applications (Volume Control, Speaker Settings, Graphic Equalizer, CMSS) would run. I uninstalled, reinstalled and tried again.
This is where I am now. I chose not to install MediaSource this time. Again, I encountered the PLXcore.plx error during install, but I'm not receiving the error when Windows boots (because I didn't install MediaSource?). But still, most of the little applications don't run. I see the Volume Control icon in my task bar, and if I press the mute button on the keyboard the symbol changes, but when I click on the icon, nothing happens. "Creative Volume Con..." flashes on the taskbar, and a 0px by 0px white box appears above the task bar. If I click anywhere else, they disappear. The Graphic Equalizer, Speaker Settings, and CMSS dialog do the same thing when opened. THX Console does not.
Also, the on screen display for volume no longer pops up. Is this part of MediaSource? Should I install MediaSource even if I don't plan to use it's

EDIT: Thought I'd add in another problem I have:
I usally run my DISH reciever's sound through my computer through the Auxillary 2 RCA connections on my front panel. When I boot World of Warcraft or Warcraft III (Both Blizzard games), the sound through this connection becomes very tinny and reverby. If I alt+tab out of the game, adjust the speaker setting (5. -> Headphones -> 5.) the issue goes away. But each time I start one of these games, the problem returns. Any ideas? I'm sorry I can't help but I have the exact same problem. I have no Speaker, EAX or graphic eq settings. No telling what else don't work. I have tryied 0 different ways of removing and loading it back with any and all updats and without and no success. I hope someone here can help us.
