Unable to select multiple images for upload
I have Windows 7 Pro and FF 9.0
I have an online store and am always uploading product photos for items I have listed. I recently switched from XP Pro to Windows 7 Pro. I had no issues with XP. However, now that I have Windows 7 Pro I am unable to select multiple images for upload when using FF. I can only select one image at a time.
The issue is unique to FF. I have tried in several other browsers, and FF is the only one that I am unable to select multiple images from.
I had FF 8.0.1 and upgraded to 9.0... hoping that would resolve the issue. It did not. I have restarted my computer several times which has also had no effect.
Hi,
Welcome to the Discussions
I see it is about 6 hours since you posted, so I guess you will get this when you wake. (I'll be sleeping then)
This would be better asked in the forum for Using Leopard inside the Leopard Category sating which browser and which site it was.
(it probably made lots of sense to you when you were typing it but it seems a little short in facts or workable info.)

Can anyone repro this; it's somewhat situational depending on how you organize your projects:
In the project selection user interface, go to export (5th icon from upper right) > choose a desired destination (like Save to Gallery or Camera Roll). Choose a project.
If you have projects residing in multiple folders, try and navigate to another folder by using the "back arrow" icon in the upper left. Once you're out of the folder you just left and try to choose another, PS Touch simply does not respond. (It doesn't lock up; it just doesn't register tapping another folder.) I could have sworn I was able to export images in multiple folder at once before.
Using a Google Nexus 2013 Wi-Fi model with Android Lollipop 5.0.1. I can record a movie if need be illustrating this potential issue.Update: I've worked out the difference between the two sets of errors I get.
The basic error is this:
ORA-00200: control file could not be created
ORA-00202: control file: '+DBLIVE1'
ORA-17502: ksfdcre:4 Failed to create file +DBLIVE1
ORA-15001: diskgroup "DBLIVE1" does not exist or is not mounted
ORA-15055: Message 15055 not found; No message file for product=RDBMS, facility=ORA
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
However if my init.ora contains the line:
control_files=/opt/oracle/server/10.2.0/dbs/cntrlNEONREL1.dbf
then I instead get the second error:
CREATE DATABASE "NEONREL1"
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01501: CREATE DATABASE failed
ORA-00349: failure obtaining block size for '+DBLIVE1'
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
So basically these must be the same error, just in the second case I'm not trying to put the control file on the ASM so it fails at a different point.
But both errors must be because of the same cause, I suppose. -
MDM: Search for images in the dialog window "Select Multiple Images"
Hi,
are there possibilities to search for images in the dialog window "Select Multiple Images" (if you want to add a image to a record)?
I know the possibilities to sort the images and the possibilities with the data groups. But I don't know a possibilities to search for a single image.
Thanks for any help!
Best regards, MelanieHi,
From the question you asked; its not much clear what your clear requirement is; but if its what i get then the solution is:
How is that you want to select the image? With Image view or By viewing the image itself ? For it when u select "Select Multiple Images" you can find two as "Available Images" and "Selected Images" and in between u can find some buttons, after "All, Add, Remove and None" you can find two buttons "Thumb Nail" and "view Details". I think you can use these buttons for your solution.
When you select "Thumb Nail" button you can see the image in real and select the image. OR you can select "View Details" and check the file name or path or the requirement as required.

Cannot select multiple images in iPhoto '08?
What am I doing wrong? I want to select multiple images to either print several on a page, or publish to a gallery, but for the life of me I cannot find a view which shows me all photo thumbnails or all thumbnails in an album or all in an event. I can spin the mousewheel to singly go through them, or I can hit edit and go to full screen where I get a thumbnail bar and can select multiples and view them at the same time, but printing or publishing this selection only recognizes the first photo as selected. If I try to select View>Thumbnails, the subsequent menu options are grayed out, and the top one is "hide" even though I see no thumbnail bar. Is there something very obvious I'm missing, or has something gone awry and I should reinstall?

Any one can help them?
ThanksThere's a slider down right of the iPhoto Window - drag it left.

Selecting multiple images to edit the source code
Hi. Does anyone know if there's a way to select multiple
images in a table and change there source code. The reason why I
ask is that I recently decided to organize my assets folder by
adding subfolders. Naturally, this makes my images appear as broken
links. It's a pretty big site that I'm working on and I would like
to know if there is a faster way than just selecting them one by
one.If you would have created the folders within DW itself (file
management), and moved images from one
folder to the other, the links would have been adjusted
automatically. Carrying out changes like
this outside of DW will create broken links as you have
found.
Did you backup the original site, if so, and have a lot of
broken links, it maybe worthwhile, going
back to the original and use the file management to
rename/create new folders and move your assets
that way.

Can I somehow let the user select multiple images from device?
Is there any way to let the user select multiple images from the device media gallery?
The CameraRoll only selects one image. And the FileRefernceList doesn't show thumbnails (so you have no idea what you are selecting).
Is there a way, or maybe some sort of workaround, for this? Is there a way to maybe "read" the users gallery on the SD-card and output your own gallery that the user can select from?
I'm developing towards both Android and iOS so cross-plattform is a must.
Thank you guys+1 to this question. I'm looking to do the same thing but haven't had any luck yet.

For some reason, I can't get LR to make changes to multiple images. For example: I select multiple images and apply the same rating and it only does one image. Same thing for deleting. Also, I select multiple images to use a external noise reduction and it also one uses one image.
I am wondering if I have a setting turned off somewhere to prevent it from applying changes to multiple images.
ThanksThat did the trick.

Based on http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1308132?tstart=0 I decided to add each question seperately:
Hello, I'm quite interested in buying Lightroom 5.2. I tried the RC which ran out now. Yet, I have a several questions that I can't really find good conclusive answers to, that I'd like to get answered before buying LR. Please don't write maybe like this or that (assumptions), since I don't want to start my whole workflow and then realize that I have to change everything around, so please answer, if you know for sure that something works and you are, preferably, using that method too.
When selecting multiple images in LR 5.2 RC on my Mac, using the Filmstrip view, how do I delete all selected files using a shortcut (as opposed to the right-click context-menu > remove selected photos)? Details: Using backspace asks me if I want to delete it, I choose from disk, but it just deletes individual photos, so if I have 3 selected, I need to do this 3 times. Many users (including me) will thank you for saving us the trouble of looking for this description in the manual. Seriously!
However, if something performs unexpectedly, if it's not a bug, it's at least a user-inconvenience.
When an unexpected result like this occurs in a product, often the documentation writer is given the task of writing the workaround into the docs. That's not a great way to fix bugs permanently, even if it does help in the short term. So, it's probably a good idea to point to where in the documentation it seems that the product-performance problem is smoothed over, when filing the report/request.
Feature enhancement requests and bugs are filed the same way. And, developers do listen to requests. Many features in many Adobe products originated in feature requests. However, product managers and, financial-management folks above them, who have some power to decide where to expend resources, set the priorities. Adobe's new subscription model is supposed to release some of the pressure on developers to meet a new release deadline every-so-often, where a whole bunch of product improvements is revealed, and instead, under the idea of making constant improvements available through more-frequent updates, users will get results sooner.

Have you considered filing a bug report or feature enhanacement request (depends if the develoopers think it's a bug or "as designed") here: LR-WISHFORM
As far as I know, this is not a bug, this is a feature of Lightroom (although I can't explain why anyone would want Lightroom to operate this way). You can find text in the Lightroom Manual that clearly explains tha operations performed on selection of photos in the Filmstrip is different than the same operation performed on photos selected in the Grid. -
Selecting Multiple Images to Copy - Fragmented Image
Hello!
I made a pdf out of a powerpoint presentation on a friend's windows computer. I am now trying to extract an image that I lost while editing on my computer. The problem I have run into is that the image was fragmented into multiple pieces in the PDF (1 image is now 3 parts). I cannot seem to select all of the images and do "copy images" as you can with one part.
I can select all the pieces with the touchup object tool and edit them in illustrator and then manipulate them but this is very much the long way around.
Since I have to do this with many graphics, I am trying not to take the long route. Is there a way to select multiple images and copy them? Or is there a way to select everything with the touchup object tool and just copy it to the clipboard?
Any thoughts?
-MikeI am also running into this issue. I happens in PDFs coming from all programs that our clients use to produce the PDFs. InDesign, Publisher, Word, WordPerfect.
My question is: back in CS3 days, I could select all the images (one image that broke into any number of horizontal sections) with the TouchUp tool and select>edit objects...They would all open as one image in photoshop, I could do my edits, save and then replace what I had on the PDF with the new saved file (jpg or pdf or tiff).
We upgraded to CS5 and now I can't do that anymore. I go into my PDF, select all parts of the image and then edit, but only the first part I selected is editable. I would like to say that it's a CS5 issue, but we had one machine, back when we all had CS3, that would do the same (not edit all the parts as one). I'm thinking it's some sort of preference or combination of preferences in both Acrobat and Photoshop, but I can't figure it out.
I know one runaround is the "Snapshot Tool," but it was much better before when we could edit what we needed and that's it.
Thank you for your attention,
Leonardo Pedreros
P.S.: Please don't judge me about Illustrator VS. Photoshop...they REFUSE to give us Illustrator at work, for some reason ($$$). If only they knew the amount of time and file size that Illustrator saves, they'd invest in 5 measly licenses. -
You SHOULD be able to apply batch changes just by selecting multiple images
Don't get me wrong, i love lift/stamp. It's very helpful.
BUT, I really hate the fact that in Aperture you can't just drag-select a group of images and then either apply adjustments to all of them, or –more often– keywords.
Why does Aperture keep you from doing this?
At the very least, you should have the OPTION in PREFS to do this. Or not.I'm sorry you are having difficulty.
It's simple: you select multiple images, right?. One has a thick white border and the others have thin ones. But, even though you have multiple images selected, if you input keywords, or other metadata, or an adjustment from the Inspector, it only applies to the "primary" image.
There should be an option to have that be the case... OR, if you want, to apply whatever adjustment from the INSPECTOR you choose... and have that be applied to those multiple images.
"...why would anyone be likely to want to see each single adjustment step applied to a large number of images before settling on the preferred combination?"
Because everyone's not you.
I just shot 100+ table tops that were VERY similar lighting / angles / etc. And I needed to comp them out for the client ASAP. The technique I described would've saved me a lot of time. Instead I had to do ONE image of the mini-batches, and then lift/stamp the rest. When it would've been so much easier for me to drag-select the 8, or 15 in a group, and assign them all keywords at the same time, and do some adjustments. Bam. Quicker.
Oh, and per the "what is the universe" question? You don't have to look any further than Apple's own operating system to see this "crazy" and "unique" technique in action: go to FINDER, select multiple items of folder (drag around them), and then CTRL-Click and choose a label color. Viola! ALL the items become that color.
Like I said, I'm only suggesting Apple provide the OPTION of working this way. And it IS the norm in most operating system / program environments.
In fact, watch the Lynda.com vid on Aperture 3: the MetaData portion, the guy drag-selects a bunch of images and says "...now, you'd THINK you could just enter some keywords for these similar images and have them stick... you'd be wrong. You have to use lift/stamp for that. For some odd reason." -
Selecting multiple images at once
I am having trouble figuring out how to click and drag the "invisible box" that usually shows up in other apps. I'm wanting to select multiple images and this would make it much easier since sizing and placing makes it difficult to select each image. Hopefully this makes sense as I am unsure what to call it. Thanks in advance for any help on this.
It's okay, I answered my own question. For those who may have the same problem, you have to click on the image before holding the mouse button down and dragging while pressing the command key.

Recently something strange started happening ...
When I select multiple images there used to be a white line around everyone selected and a bolder white line around what I call the primary ...
Ok, so now, when I select multiple, eg 100, images and try to apply a keyword to them all, it only applies it to one ... the others no longer have the thin white border that denotes selected, only the primary gets the action to ... this also applies to ratings but not to deletes or moves ... in the thumbnail area both white borders are there ... what did I change ???
thanks in adavance as this has frustrated me for a little while now ... and culminated with me wanting to apply the same change to 3K images ...Easy answer--I hope. This has hit a bunch of us at one time or another.
Here's my educated guess: "Primary Only" got selected somehow. There's three ways I know of this could have happened:
1. The command-key is simply "s". Therefore it's easy to toggle it and not know it.
2. The icon is the bottom left set of five, the fifth icon. That also toggles it.
3. Under the "Edit" menu it's "Toggle Primary Only"
Use any of those methods to toggle it back off and see if the problem clears up! I hope so...it stumped me for awhile also...
FWIW, "Primary Only" is a mode that applies keyword and other changes to only the primary selection, even if a bunch are selected. The primary is the selected item with the thickest white line around it. -
How do I select multiple contacts for an e-mail?
Using an iMac and wondering how to send an e-mail to multiple people in my contact list without having to open the contact list every time I select a name. It would be nice if I could just open the contact list and select multiple people for the same e-mail. Does anyone know how to do this?
Hi there Kathy, The easiest way is Window (along the menu bar) > Address Pannel, then you can select multipul contacts and then click the "To:" Button in the top left of the window.
(Tip: You can use comand and click to select multipul at once, then click the "To:" button in the top left) -
Selecting multiple images in a table
Hi. I have a website and have recently decided to organize my
assets folder by creating subfolders. However, this has made all of
the pictures on my site turn into broken source codes. Is there a
way to select multiple images within a table and edit the source
code? If anyone can help me I'd greatly appreciate it!You should always do this kind of thing using DW's Files
panel - DW will manage your links when you do.
Did you move all of the images into the same subfolder, or
different ones? If the latter, you will just have to remake all of
the links one by one. If the former you may be able to do
find/replace to find the old links and replace with the new folder
path. -
I am trying to import photo's on i photo. It downloads all of the pictures on my camera, how do i only select the photos i want? Is there a way to do this without selecting one photo at a time? is there a way to select multiple images? thanks!
To select consecutive images click and drag the cursor over multiple thumbnails to select all at once.
To select multiple images that are randomly located hold down the Command(⌘) key and click on those images you want to select.
Or to select consecutive images from a list of images that are together hold down the Shift key and and click on the first photo you want to select and the on the last photo you want in the list.
