On my imax, all of a sudden I am unable to send original emails with attachments of any size.  I can attached the file but when I try to transmit, it will not go.
Also, if I am emailing back and forth, once there gets to be several threads, it will no longer transmit.  Any suggestions. I am using gmail in the apple mail system

    Mike,
Are any of your other applications going wonky, or is it just Logic?
I'm afraid I've never heard of this particular problem before, but if it were happening to me the first thing I would do is delete my "com.apple.logic.express.plist" file in Library>Preferences, then repair permissions in Disc Utility, and finally restart my computer.  Then I would launch Logic and see if the problem has been corrected.  It's amazing how much these two steps can accomplish.
If that doesn't resolve the issue I would launch Logic and go to Preferences>Audio Units Manager to see if all my plug-ins are properly validated.

  • I am unable to send an email with an attachment I created in Pages.I have installed version 5.0.1

I am unable to send an email with an attachment I created in Pages version 5.0.1. It also prevented me from sending out any other emails with or without  an attachment. I finally fixed my email so I could send out again but when I tried to send an attachment created in Pages it wouldn't allow it.  Can someone help me, please! Thanks!

Pages 5 is having problems with GMail, Google and Yahoo. Dropbox may have fixed their problem with an update.
Along with this problem and others, Apple has removed over 90 features from Pages 5.

Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Archive/trash Pages 5 and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

  • Unable to open files associated with Adobe Reader - program goes into a loop

i am unable to open any file associated with adobe reader or adobe pro.  when i double-click the file, adobe reader opens up but it goes into a loop.
adobe reader opens, then a progress window opens, as if the file will open but adobe closes and opens again and the same cycle repeats itself until i manually close the program.
    any advice?
    update:
i can open regular .PDF files when i double-click the icon and i can also open .PDF files when i open adobe reader first and then choose open file.  it's just the .FDF files that are the problem (so far).
the file in question happens to be an .FDF extension, which is an internet generated form. i attached a screen shot of the screen that pops up, goes away, and pops up again that creates the loop.
the white out section is the server name where the file was saved to.  but i also get the same symptoms when i am in internet explorer, hit the generate form button.

    hey ankit,
sorry i didn't see a notification that you replied to this discussion.
"1. Generate a new PDF and a FDF file. Try opening the same and see if it behaves the same way."
yes, it does behave the same way, it's just a continuous loop until i have to kill the process.
"2. Check if you have access to the PDF that is being used by the particular FDF."
by this do you mean the correct permissions?  if that is what you mean, then yes, the permissions are set correctly.
"3. If possible, please send me the FDF and the associated PDF that is behaving in this way on your system."
i really wish i could but the information in the form is sensitive and cannot be sent.
as an update though, i reimaged the customer's workstation, installed Adobe Reader 10.1.1 and it worked perfectly (finally).  HOWEVER, after about two weeks the same symptoms returned!

  • Unable to open attached documents in emails with Adobe Reader 9

I get emails with attachments but when i try to open,  i keep getting a warning saying .... ADOBE READER CAN NOT OPEN DOCUMENT BECAUSE IT IS EITHER NOT SUPPORTED FILE TYPE OR FILE HAS BEEN DAMAGED.....etc.    I presumed that as the attachments  were most likely WORD documents (and I only have Microsoft WORKS) that this was the reason.   So i downloaded the free Microsoft Word reader but still unable to read.   I send the emails to friends to open and they send them back to me.....Its becomming a bit annoying for them understandly....Can anyone help me...Many thanks

By email client I mean the email program: Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, ...
But anyway, this is of no importance; it is your file association that is wrong: Word documents (.doc, .docx) must be associated with Word, or in your case Word Viewer, not Adobe Reader.  This is why you cannot view your attachments.
On the other hand, the installation of Word Viewer should have corrected that, not sure why it didn't.
What I would do if I encountered your situation:
uninstall Adobe Reader and Word Viewer
reinstall Adobe Reader and Word Viewer

  • Please help, I'm unable to send an email with a pdf attachment

We have Windows 8 Pro on the pc, I have been trying to send a pdf document that my husband needs to his work and no matter how I try to send it (either from reader or directly from my email with the attachment it just will not send.  Can anyone please help?

No worries.  But it is strange that you cannot even send email with a PDF attachment from Microsoft Mail.  At this point, no PDF viewers (e.g. Microsoft Reader, Adobe Reader Touch) are involved because you are not viewing PDF files.
Instead of saying "It won't send", you need to describe exactly what you see on the screen for every step. Where does the problem start?
Step 1: Attaching a PDF file to new email in Microsoft Mail
Are you able to find the PDF file and attach it to new email?
Step 2: Sending email with a PDF attachment
What happens when you click the Send button?  Does it hang forever?  Does it show an error message? Could you confirm that you can send email with other type of attachments (e.g. text file, Word file) from Microsoft Mail from the same PC?
You can provide the details to Microsoft for troubleshooting.
Alternatively, you can try to send email with the PDF attachment from other accounts like Gmail (Google Mail) or Yahoo Mail via the web browser (Internet Explorer) interface.
Sometimes, rebooting your system solves "mysterious" problems, too.
    Good luck!

  • Where can I send an email concerning Adobe Reader XI Pro

    Hello,
I downloaded Reader XiI Pro for the trial period.  I used it and was very, very impressed with you developing program of that caliber.  I was extremly impressed with the depth and detail of all of the options available.  Just to let all of you know I have never sent an email or letter to a software developer because of how impressed I was with it.
This is a program that really could help me develope and steamline my wife's business as well as just using the functions available to me for other reasons.
What really turned me off very quickly was the $19.95 monthly charge.  I came from the IBM family of products primarily the system software on the AS/400 sytem.  All of the sytem programs whether it was the operating system to the Client Access software.  One off the downfalls of the AS/400 was not due to its system lifecycle.  What really ruined the sale of the AS/400 was directly related to the yearly licence fees for its software. .
This bring me to my point.  You have an amazing piece of software with Xi Pro.  Not just a handy progran but a subsystem itself.  The problem is the $19.95 charge for its use.  I would need it maybe once a week.  That doesn't even come close to what its worth.  In my opinion you should'nt charge a monthly fee.  Selling it, providing upgrades the the release version, and then charging for each  new release.  Think about it.  I would pay or buy it if I needed more.  But paying $239.00 annually is by far too extreme of a cost.  Maybe you can develop a strealine version of this software and sell it.  I could live with that.

Please note that there is no such product as Adobe Reader Pro. It is called Adobe Acrobat Pro.
If you are on Windows you might consider Adobe Acrobat Standard, which costs less and does less.
You might also like to know that Adobe Acrobat (Pro and Standard) are available for one time fees, with of course the need to pay for upgrades every few years. This information is not well presented.
(This reply is not from Adobe. There is no email for sending such information to Adobe, sorry. You might try the Acrobat Feature Request forum).

  • Trying to open PDF in email with Adobe Reader app

Citimortgage sent me a disclosure statement by email. I'm trying to open it on my iPad using the Adobe Reader app, but this is all I get.
To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html For further support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html
    Help!
    Jennifer

George is correct. XFA forms (which the mobile Reader does not support) are often built with a generic error (like the one described) page that displays for Readers that do not support these document types.

  • Unable to open PDF Files with adobe reader VI

I have downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader VI I am still not able to open PDF Files. When I click on the file I get a blank window with a  little black box inside a White X!    This black box appears  in the upper left hand corner of the blank window! Please any help to overcome this issue is welcomed...Rick

You are not addressing Adobe here, just fellow users, and you are not providing enough information about your problem. Based on the little you say, I would sauy that you can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

  • Why am I unable to open this file with Adobe Reader?

I am trying to open the following file,
    http://www.profitableglass.com/profiles/hotglass/files/profitableglassquarterlyspring%
    and an error message says:
The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running cannot be used to
view PDF files in a web browser. Adobe Acrobat/Reader version
    8 or 9 is neccesary.
I am running Adobe Reader 9.3 on Windows XP/service pack 3 and
what does Acrobat have to do with this, if I only want to view file?
    Chris

This is cbuzz1, with a possible answer to my own question. From some web research and a few phone calls it appears that Adobe Reader 9.3 does not support I.E.8... I uninstalled Adobe Reader 9.3 and installed Adobe Reader 8.2, and no problems whatsoever. It does bother me though that when you go to Adobe Downloads and select Windows XP-sp3 operating system, the first option is to download Adobe Reader 9.3. It doesn't ask which browser you are using...So basically I spent three hours finding out something that I couldn't learn from Adobe Tech Support...

  • Unable to open PDF files with Adobe Reader v11.0, in Windows 8, using C# Process.Start()

I have been able to open PDF docs using C# API Process.Start("Full_path_To_the_PDF_File")
in windows 7 or windows 8 with all previous versions of Acrobat32 reader.
However, with v11.0, the same command, in Windows 8,
does not open the PDF document. I can see the Acrobat(32) started in the task manager,
but the document does open. Not sure how I can troble shoot
    this problem.
As a test, I created ta batch file, with a simple command that calls AcroRD32.exe with a PDF file as a parameter. When I executed the batch file in cmd window, it opens the PDF document. If I execute the batch file using Process.Start(), again it does not
work. The CMD window opens but, the document does not open. The cmd window just stays open.
So, there must be something with opening the PDF using the Process.start() command.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you,

This is something Adobe has to troubleshoot. Probably the pdf file association is broken. I suggest you to visit forums.adobe.com to ask Adobe about your problem.

I have a large number of pdf files to send to an iPad and it is taking forever to hold down each one and then choose to open with adobe reader.  Just wondering if there is a way to select all from the email to do the same action?

Not that i know of but an alternate would be to use something like dropbox instead of mail. Their app works very well.
