Unable to send data to printer

Help please!I just got my macbook pro with OS X 10.10.3 and no matter what I've tried, incluidng all the the steps in this thread, I haven't been able to get my printer (hp 5610) to work. Am I missing something...simple?Thanks in advance

[solved] printer - brother DCP-J315W - "sending data to printer"

Hi All,
My sister have a printer brother DCP-J315W, connected with usb.
I installed the brother-dcpj315w package from AUR, and it used to work without issue.
But I was informed "recently" that this printer is not working correctly since perhaps two months. (perhaps it's related to the AUR package update, but I think it's was already not working before the update.)
When I try to print, there is no activity on the printer, and, using the cups web-interface, I can see, for the printer status: "idle - sending data to printer"
I'm not sure about what I see in the logs, there are some failure about systemd and avahi service, when I try to print, perhaps it's the issue, but I really don't know.
journaltct -f - when I try to print a test page.
/var/logs/cups/error.log - for this day, with a debug log level, and when I added this printer and print a test page.
It tried to not use the usblp kernel module without success, the printer is not recognized by cups without this module loaded.
So, I'm quite lost with this issue.

Issue solved, I had to execute this commande after the package installation:
/opt/brother/Printers/dcpj315w/cupswrapper/cupswrapperdcpj315w
I contacted the package owner so he can update his package.

Keep getting error message when sending data to printer

i keep getting an error message when trying to print. window says "sending data to printer" but nothing happens and i get an error message.
anyone else experience this and how did you solve the problem?

Unable to send data to database

Hi ,
i created report using EVDRE and i enter data , while sending data to data base , my records rejected and it says : It is a calculated member.::TOTALDATASRC
at the same time i creted inputschdelu and i am unavle to enter data and it saying : Member is callucate dmebber .
Please let me know where i am wrong ..

You are able to send data only if all the members are base members.
In your case TOTALDATASRC is not base member and because of that you are not able to send data.
Into CVW?(curent view) change DATASRC and select on base member like INPUT.
You should be able to send data in case if you don't have other members which are calculated inCVW.
Any way the system will provide you this information and you will know what to change.

Unable to send data to iCloud

I am on WiFi with excellent signal when trying to do the first backup to iCloud getting the error "There was a problem completing the backup. Please try again later". The update to iOS5 went just fine this is the only thing taht isn't working. Any help will be great.

Milllions of people are trying to back up to icloud. best to try again tomorrow.

Print job stuck at "sending data"

Hello,
my printer (Canon MG4200) worked fine a few days ago, but now it won't print anything. The CUPS browser interface shows that the printer is "Processing" and that the job is "Sending data to printer" but nothing ever happens.

It goes on and on but never prints anything. Any help ?

Thought that the slow transfer speed could be caused by a hardware issue, so I tried changing the USB cable but it didn't solve the problem. The weird thing is, when I try printing from a program (i.e. Guitar Pro) it fails saying "Filter failed", and when I try printing a test page CUPS' error log shows the following error :

Problem in Sending data to Backend.

Thanks for all who is answering all my quations. Now i am unable to send data to backend.
Model and Cardinalities are fine ( I am getting data from backend).
I created new element in comp controller and method(executing model). I am calling this method in wdInit() in view.
Do i need to write any code further to insert data into database.

*For sendind data to backend you need to create the model in your webdynpro
application and call your own/Standard BAPI/RFC enabled function module
to send/get data from your Back end.
*If you already done this and getting error then please check these
Check your Mapping and Binding
Check your JCO connections.
Check your code for executing your RFC module
Check your RFC FM/BAPI in your Back end

Disable "Send Data File" prompt

When I open the pdf created in LiveCycle Designer 7.1 and click on "Submit to Email" it prompts me for what type of email app I use. It then presents the "Send Data File" prompt. The options are "Send Data File" "Print Form" and "Cancel." It also has a "Don't show again" checkbox.
Is there a way to disable this prompt? For example after the user clicks on their email app it would simply open the email with the data file as an attachment.
I'm afraid that my people may click on "Print Form" instead of "Send Data File" or they might click "Cancel". I just want to ensure this is as easy as possible for them to complete.
Does anyone know if it's possible to disable the "Send Data File" prompt and automatically open an email and attach the data file?

I apologize for taking so long to respond to your question. It took me a while to locate someone on the Acrobat Team who could answer my questions.
It's a good thing you asked about this because it turns out that this behaviour will no longer occur as of the next release of Acrobat. In the next release, if the call to submit a form's data via email comes from an Acrobat
Action, the "Choose your email application" dialog will always be displayed (unless the user has already clicked on the "don't show this again" check box which you can't control programmatically). If, however, the call to submit the form's data comes from JavaScript, the dialog won't be displayed. Instead, Acrobat will use the system's default email application (e.g. Microsoft Outlook) to do the submission.
Unfortunately, clicking on a button with the mouse or the keyboard (by setting focus to it and hitting the Enter key) as well as firing a button's Click event with execEvent("click"), as I had previously suggested, will all be considered Acrobat
Actions and will therefore possibly show the unwanted "Choose your email application" dialog.
In order to get around this, we need a solution which always uses JavaScript to do the submission. Fortunately, we can use the Acrobat Document object's
submitForm method to do this, thereby ensuring that the unwanted dialog doesn't show-up in future versions of Acrobat. The only potential problem with this solution is that it'll only work if the form is rendered to PDF. If the form is rendered to HTML (using
Adobe LiveCycle Forms, for example), this method will not work because Acrobat won't be involved in hosting the form.
The trick is to use the
event.target object in a regular button's Click event. This object is actually the Acrobat Document object. From there, you can use the
submitForm method as follows in order to achieve the same behaviour as that of Designer's email submit button (in JavaScript):

'unable to send print data' on HP Laserjet 1536dnf MFP

Hi there,
I'm running an iMac with OSX 10.6.8. Via an USB cable I have attached a HP Laserjet 1536dnf MFP to the iMac.
I also use this printer to print via wifi (i.e. through the iMac) with my MacBook Pro (with OSX 10.7.3).
Suddenly today the printer stopped working via my MacBook Pro. I get an error message: 'unable to send print data'.
I have checked my antivirus etc., but that does not appear to be the problem. I have also updated the firmware of the printer, without success.
Can somebody help me out? Is the OS difference the problem? But until today that hasn't been a problem.

I understand you lost connection with the network for the Laserjet 1536 through ethernet connection.
Disconnect the routers power cable, wait 10 seconds, then reconnect the power cable. Wait till it's ready. The router might not be finding the printer on the network.
If this doesn't resolve the issue continue to the next steps.
Print a configuration report from the LaserJet 1536dnf.
Press the Setup button, (the one with the wrench on it)
reports, press OK, Config Report, press OK.
Check to see if the ip address is valid.
If you have a valid ip address then delete and add the printer on the mac, the driver might have become corrupted.
Delete printer on mac.
Click on the Apple, click System & Preferences,then click the Print & Scan icon (on some systems this may be displayed as Print & Fax),highlight your printer name and click the button on the bottom left corner of the screen.
Add printer on the mac.
Click on the Apple, click System & Preferences, and then click the Print & Scan icon (on some systems this may be displayed as Print & Fax),click add a printer, then select the printer from the list, make sure the printer listed beside use or print: shows proper printer name and not airprint, (airprint is a preinstalled apple driver with basic funtionality if on 10.8) add it in.

Unable to send the data entered in sap portal

i am trying to configure and test Leave Request from portal. When, we create the leave request and submit for the first time, it is giving the error/message Unable to send the data entered However, if do a submit for the second time, the same leave request, it sends the leave request.

Hi Rafi,
We are also facing similar kind of issue.
When i select type of leave as annual it is giving an error message as
" Parameter missing in call of method BUILD_ACTOR_SELECT_CLAUSE in class CA_PT_REQ_ACTOR "
But when i select some other leave type and click review it is working fine, again if i click on previous step and change the leave type to annual it is working fine without giving any error message.

Printer says "sending data..." and doesn't print (photosmart c440 & macbook pro snow leopard)

Hi, my photosmart C440 printer suddenly stopped working and wont print. The message says "Sending data..." forever but never prints. The printer is on but doesn't respond to what my computer says. I have a macbook pro snow leopard OS. This has never happened before, I didn't make any changes to the system. When the problem first appeared, I reinstalled the driver and was able to print once, then it stopped working. Then I installed snow leopard and it stil doesn't work.

Send data directly to a printer from an RT system

forgive my ignorrance here, I have tried searching for this but could find any similar posts.
we currently have a PXI RT system which sends data via the datasocket server to a host PC which is connected to a printer, in the event of an alarm generated by the PXI system an error log is printed by the host PC which contains some timestamp details in text. this config works fine.
i woudl like my PXI RT system to print text data dirctly to a printer connected to the PXI controller unit, is this possible ?
please advise

I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to do this. You will probably have to format the data into some form that the printer will understand. Obviously you will need to establish a connection to the printer via whatever connection it is using. The specific printer you are using will determine what the actual data should look like.
