    Hello all,
    I am facing issues in sending emails to the users from the workflow in SharePoint Designer 2013.
    I am trying to send emails to valid users in a Project server 2013 Workflow by Email action.
    I have set up the SMTP server successfully, I have configured SMTP server successfully in IIS manager 6.0
    I have configured the outgoing e-mail settings in Central Administration successfully,
    I have configured the SMTP email settings for my web app in IIS manager as well.
    I have configured and synced the User Profile App with the eMail addresses from Active Directory as well.
    I have configured the Alerts and Reminders in Operational Policies of PWA settings as well.
    I can send the emails to the users successfully through Powershell.
    But when I am trying to Start a Task Process with a user in the workflow, the task process starts but it never sent an email notification. So I tested by using the Action Email, that also the user is unable to receive any email. But the Workflow is not giving
    any error also. The email sending is successful, but the user is unable to receive it. The workflow succeeds to next phase without any errors.
    So to cross verify I tried 'Alert Me' option on a list, but that also is not sending(or might be sending but the user is not receiving) the mail.
    What else should I do to solve this issue.
    Please help me.

    Hello Paul,
    I tried editing the PWA instance as you said, but that also didn't help :(
    I even restarted the Project Server Service, but nothing is changed. 
    I tried creating a new workflow for a List and used send email there, but that also is not sending the mail :(
    How do I check where the issue is from ? I mean, whether the workflow is sending the mail and the mail server is not receiving? or whether the workflow is not sending the mail itself? how do I check this? Is there any way to log these details?
    Please help me regarding this issue, I am totally clueless how to proceed.

    Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
    If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app via the taskbar : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
    A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
    And if none of the above fix it then try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Then select the account on the right-hand side of that screen, select Account, then Advanced, Deleted Mailbox, and under On The Server tap the 'Trash' folder so that it gets a tick against it - then come out of that series of popups by tapping on the relevant buttons at the top of them and then see if you can delete emails.

    If you are using your ISPs email settings you should check with them for the SMTP settings needed when connected to a remote network (your friend's ISP). Nost ISPs require authentication or different SMTP ports to send when you are not connected to their network.

    It is probably an encoding problem.  The only thing you can try is to switch the OS language between English and Chinese and see if it makes a difference.  Otherwise the recipient will have to adjust at their end.

I have looked at the standard troubleshooting suggestions provided by Apple, but they do not appear to cover this eventuality.  I should be most grateful for any help.

    Try first to Clear your cache from : Tools > Options > Advanced > Network, Clear Now button.

  • Unable to send email POP3 email from Outlook 2013 unless signed on as local admin

    I recently upgraded from Office 2010 to 2013.  For several weeks everything ran smoothly but a few days ago I noticed that my Verizon POP3 account was unable to send mail - items just sit in outbox.  I have deleted/added the account and the profile
    multiple times, this will solve the problem for a few days but then it returns again.  I discovered that if I run Outlook as an administrator the mail will send without a problem.  I have checked permissions on the pst file and do not see any issues. 
    Sometimes but not always I receive a message on the POP3 send that there was no network connection check mode. The send test message in the account set up never has a problem - it's only the periodic Outlook sending and receiving when the problem occurs. 
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    Since the problem could be be solved for a few days by deleting/re-adding the profile and the account, the problem may be related to the .pst file. When the problem comes back, run Scanpst.exe to repair the. pst file, will the problem be fixed again?

    We can also assume there are other programs that are interacting with the .pst file, reboot and disable the possible programs to test if this makes a difference.
    If you're disconnected, you'll also need to check the network cable, try restarting your computer, or contact your Internet Service Provider or your system administrator. This implies the issue may be related to the anti-virus program or the firewall settings,
    which may be scanning the outgoing emails from Outlook. We can disable them temporarily to send the emails again, check if this helps.

    About ~20 hours later, this ended up solving itself. We can send email using the '.icloud' email from both the iPad and iPhone.  Advise would be 'wait' before you start seeking alteranatives like yahoo, hotmail, etc.  This definitely is a convenient way to keep all your 'cloud' information in a centralized place, including the common email...

    Recently, I have become unable to send emails from my comcast email account.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the account, but get an error (Cannot send.     Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.     You have to request you Network team to add the ip address of the machine where you have installed content server to your Exchange Server.

  • I am unable to send emails

    We have a work email account set up on the iPad and receive emails just fine. We are unable to send emails. The settings for the account have been verified and should work. But when I go into settings and touch Mail, Contacts etc. scrolling down the first page on the "Default Account" it shows iCloud. The other company iPad shows this as the company email and can send emails just fine. How do I add the company account to this Default. My CEO is not happy about not being able to respond or send emails from this device.

    There are two places that show Default Account. One is for mail sent from outside the mail app - meaning that if you email photos or a document from within one of the corresponding apps, that email will be send from the default account.
    The second place that Default Account shows is for adding contacts outside of a specific account and you can direct where the contacts will be added.
    So neither of those areas really apply to the mail app for sending emails.
    I understand that your CEO may be upset, but just so that you know, nobody here works for Apple. We are just other users volunteering our time to help other users.
