Unable to send Group text from Nokia Lumia 520

Hi Guys,
I am unable to send Group text from lumia 520, even after enabling the Group text option in the messaging settings.
Please help.

I also need to send group msg to about 100 people which was possible in Symbian, but in Lumia group limit is 25 (how ridiculous!)
Now I have made several groups of 25 & send few mgs.
But what I don't like is, group sms are shown in different thread, so when someone replies, his thread doesn't show the group msg so I can't make out to which msg I am getting reply.
Earlier Symbian used to send group msg as individual sms so replies used to show all sms, sent & received. Symbian system was better for me.
Using Nokia Lumia 1320.
Also have Nokia E72 & Nokia N8.

Hi, govindcom. It's nice to see your post here. Sharing of video via Bluetooth is currently not supported by your phone. You can only use Bluetooth for Transfer my data which can only copy contacts from almost any phone (Symbian, Android, iOS, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and others).

Uninstalling Applications from Nokia Lumia 520

I want to uninstall some applications from my Windows phone (NOKIA LUMIA 520) 8 so as to make my phone a little bit free from unused applications. I could find a place where I could do so. Please help me. Thanks.

Left Swipe on the Home Screen to go to the Applications list .. Select the application ..and Long Press on it .. select 'Uninstall' ...Some pre-installed applications can't be removed.
Further, you may install THIS application and store all the Maps data on the SD Card to free up space in the Phone memory ... If you wish to download the subject application, log-in using the same credentials that you use on this Forum ..or try the QR Code in the Attachment.

I am doing this beacuse in my space on my phone my doucments and data are taking up 9GB of space, and i don't know why other than in my phone it says messages are taking up 8GB or so. I am running ios 7.0. I have synced my phone with itunes, backed up, reboots after deleting the texts, they never vanish, i have even restored from itunes and restored from a backup that didn't include the texts after i deleted them.

actually better to reset your phone and reinstall the latest firmware again after that restore your back up it should be ok

Nokia 822 receving group text from an I phone?

Everyone in my office has an iphone including my boss. When he sends out a group text I do not recive it because I have a Nokia 822 Windows phone. Im affraid he is going to make me switch to an iPhone if i do not resolve the issue. I have already stopped into the Verizon branch where i bought it and they suggest that i make sure he has I messenging turned off. Still Dosnt work. Stopped back in the branch and they informed me that It cannot be done. Does anyone have a Answer to this. Is this True am i going to have to suffer with an Iphone because my boss has one?

What is he using to send group text? If it is a standard group text, you should be able to receive the message. If he is using iMessage, obviously you won't receive it and there is no work around for that.

Unable to change group text name or add person to some group texts in iOS 8

I really like the ability to change group text names as it helps me separate work group texts from personal especially when I have coworkers that have separate business phones. I'm unable to change the name of some group texts as the option is not there when I go into details. I'm also unable to add contact to the same group texts that I'm unable to change the name on. Is this a glitch or am I missing something?

If you are having issues with renaming and adding users to group texts, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

E72- Unable to send e-mail from work mailbox

I am unable to send e-mails from my work e-mail through my E72 although it receives perfectly. I have been in contact with Nokia via e-mail for the last 2 weeks and they have sent several suggestions to solve the issue but nothing is working. I have set-up my work e-mail on my husbands Blackberry with the same settings and can receive and send perfectly. From that I conclude there is no issue with the settings I have or my work e-mail but with
Nokia!! The latest 'help' I have received was to download a patch but I have no idea how to do this and get it onto my phone. So far Nokia have not replied to me.
Any suggestions how to get this to work would be greatly appreciated

If you're using a much older firmware, updating the phone would be a good idea. Find the Software Updates section of nokia.com and type your phone model. If you can't do an over-the-air update, download and install either the OVI Suite or the standalone Software Updater. This may hard reset the phone, so back up anything important with OVI Suite first.
Ignoring firmware for now, IMAP and URL's are like apples and oranges. If you work for a small company, the server may always be called " mail.mycompany.com", but IMAP will never use an HTTP or HTTPS prefix. URL's are typically associated with Microsoft Exchange servers. Within the email program, check Options -> Settings -> Mailbox settings -> Mailbox settings -> Advanced mailbox settings. Are "Outgoing email settings" set to something like
User authentication: Same as for incoming
Outgoing mail server: <compare to the setting for the Incoming server name; in a small company this will likely be the same>
Since you're getting far enough for the mail sever to reject your connection, the other settings should be fine as-is.
It does look like an authentication issue, so I'd say you're either hitting the wrong server or there's a bad username or password in there somewhere. If the Blackberry works with an IMAP connection, then you should be using the same server name(s), and user/password.
If all else fails, you can always try removing and readding the mailbox completely. Choose Menu -> Applications -> Email -> Settings -> <highlight your work account> -> Options -> Remove mailbox. And then set it up from scratch. I hope that helps a little!

Sending videos through whatsapp in nokia lumia 520

hey so i been using whatsapp in my nokia lumia 520., i can recieve videos from friends and even forward the videos to others also.
But what i can't seem to do is send other videos that are there in my memory card/internal memory to other users thru whatsapp. when i try to attach a video file.,all i get is the option to record a video.
how do i attach a video and send it to others thru whatsapp..??

I can give you a correct answer. Forget about sending prerecorded videos using Lumia with Widows OS.
As Window phone does not allow all other App developers to access to its video library.
So it is not possible for sending video using lumia series for sure. I have 920 before and just switched to Samsung Android because of this issue

Since installing iOS 5 I am unable to send international texts to contacts.

After intsalling iOS 5 (aswell as 5.0.1 a few days ago) I am unable to send international text messages, both sms and imessages, to anyone in my contact list. I can though send them if I manually insert their number.
This does in fact automatically substitute the inserted number with the entry I have in my contact list, yet will only send the message this way.
If I simply select someone from my contact list, it will give me a "message send failure" error.
I have attempted this through an Iphone 4 with a +44 vodafone sim to Italian (+39) numbers.

Also, I have attempted this with both the International Assist on and off. The sim seems to work normally on other phones.

Since last weekend (3-15-15) I have been unable to send/receive text messages with a friend who has Sprint service. The messages send with no errors on either side, but neither side is receiving the messages. Is anyone else having any similar issues?

Nokia Lumia 520 Error: Unable to find bootable opt...

My Nokia Lumia 520 unexpectadly shut down and reebotted as i proceeded to pause my music. now the only reaction i reiceve from it is a black screen which says Error: Unable to find bootable option. Press any key to shut down.
if anyone has only proven solutions in fixing this issue, please let me know.

If you are pertaining to Lumia phones that has the Windows Phone 8.1 software, yes, those are supported by the Nokia Software Recovery Tool. You can verify this info here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-ph/mobile/support/product/lumia520/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA14298.... If the recovery tool is installed on your computer & it's still not recognizing your phone, try to uninstall it and install again. By the way, have you tried coordinating this with a different Nokia Care Point for a second opinion?

Nokia Lumia 520 Texting

Hello, I've just bought a Nokia Lumia 520 and need some help with texting.
I sent a message to all my old contacts giving them my new number.
I sent the text to 25 people but only 2 acknowledged it. My mother was included and she was in the room and did not recieve it.
Is there any chance it has not sent to everyone? How do I correct this?

Did you have enough balance? Also check Sms calling center number in settings under messages.
It takes time when you send sms in bulk, sometimes it fails. Try sending it in lesser numbers like 5 or
10. If it fails its most likely to be service providers problem.

My iPhone 6 Cannot recieve or send group text messages

My iphone 6 cannot send or receive group texts. It was able to send and receive grout texts until the IOS 8.0.2 upgrade. A few texts from throughout the day did come in randomly in the middle of the night, but no other explanation. I have cycled both on and off the imessage and sms message feature while resetting the network settings. This accomplished nothing. This is becoming rather frustrating with all ese different issues.

I've been seeing similar issues. Are you on T-Mobile, and did you turn on Wifi Calling? I found that once I turn that option on, I was not able to send group texts. Turning it off, and then Reset Network Settings would allow me to send group texts again. This of course, is not an ideal situation.

There's a functional workaround to send Group emails that takes some setup, and a copy-paste. But it's easier than any one-by-one solution cooked up without a 3rd-party app. Here's the way:
STEP ONE:
Go to Settings>General>Keyboard-->Shortcuts
Add a new Shortcut by typing in the full email addresses in the "Phrase" field, separated by comma and space; type in the few letters representing this "Phrase" in the "Shortcut" field.
STEP TWO:
In the email app, IN THE BODY OF THE EMAIL, type in the letter for the Shortcut and space. Then Highlight-->Copy this text and paste it into the To: Field. (Obviously: Delete this text in email body; and use CC: or BCC: fields as desired.)
Regrettably, you CANNOT just type the Shortcut in the address fields as it gets lobbed into one address.
This "No Group Email Functionality" rates a #FAIL by Apple. One of the few.

How can i group text from my iphone 4s

I'm in a band & scheduling practices gets kinda tricky.I just got an iPhone 4s & I can't figure out how to send group texts. I have the group set up but I have to select each person seperately from within the group. I had a Blackberry Curve (which I hated!) that did this easily. How can I do this with my iPhone (which I love!)?

Or you can contact your operator and check what they can do for you , there is a service in Egypt called group SMS which you can have from 0 to 99 group and every group cost you 1 MSG
