Unable to send invitation to one user

I have a intel mac mini, running server 10.5.2 as an iCal server. 3 users has been created - A, B and C and they have all been setup in open directory and ical and their calendars can be viewed both outside and inside the network.
They can all read and write in each others calendars.
When inside on the network everyone can invite everyone in iCal (meaning that when an event has been created and I click invite, both A, B and C appears in the field, when I start entering their names).
When outside only A and B appears in the field, when the names are being entered.
Any ideas on what the problem could be?
The open directory server has been added to the library services, and both A, B and C appears when I enter their names in the library search in Addressbook.app

First I have to admit that I hadn't noticed that it didn't show the "normal" adressbook users when opened in an ical server appointment, so that helped a lot, thank you!
But I am still experiencing that the library section in adressbook.app shows both A, B and C (and no other, so it's not a combination of all the other contacts or anything), but the adress panel in ical still only shows A and B.

Unable to send email to the users from Project Server Workflow

Hello all,
I am facing issues in sending emails to the users from the workflow in SharePoint Designer 2013.
I am trying to send emails to valid users in a Project server 2013 Workflow by Email action.
I have set up the SMTP server successfully, I have configured SMTP server successfully in IIS manager 6.0
I have configured the outgoing e-mail settings in Central Administration successfully,
I have configured the SMTP email settings for my web app in IIS manager as well.
I have configured and synced the User Profile App with the eMail addresses from Active Directory as well.
I have configured the Alerts and Reminders in Operational Policies of PWA settings as well.
I can send the emails to the users successfully through Powershell.
But when I am trying to Start a Task Process with a user in the workflow, the task process starts but it never sent an email notification. So I tested by using the Action Email, that also the user is unable to receive any email. But the Workflow is not giving
any error also. The email sending is successful, but the user is unable to receive it. The workflow succeeds to next phase without any errors.
So to cross verify I tried 'Alert Me' option on a list, but that also is not sending(or might be sending but the user is not receiving) the mail.
What else should I do to solve this issue.

I tried editing the PWA instance as you said, but that also didn't help :(
I even restarted the Project Server Service, but nothing is changed.
I tried creating a new workflow for a List and used send email there, but that also is not sending the mail :(
How do I check where the issue is from ? I mean, whether the workflow is sending the mail and the mail server is not receiving? or whether the workflow is not sending the mail itself? how do I check this? Is there any way to log these details?
Please help me regarding this issue, I am totally clueless how to proceed.

How to force sharepoint 2013 to always send email as one user?

Hi!
In our organization we are limiting the ability to send email to groups for authenticated users only.
this causes an issue with Sharepoint, where a user cannot share files with a group.
Since sharepoint is authenticating anonymously - the sender is not authenticated.
I did some research and the suggestions are to set the SPS as SMTP server and use it as a relay for the exchange server while using authentication.
this does work, but i'm having a new issue where the authenticating user must be granted the "send as" permissions for all other users, and I don't want to do that.
Is there a way to force the SPS to always send as a specific user?
any other suggestion is also welcome.

According to your description, you want to set the outgoing email address always to be a specified one in SharePoint.
Per my knowledge, if we have configured the email address in the Outgoing e-mail settings in Central Administration, the emails sent from SharePoint will always use this email address to send the emails.
What did you mean by granting “send as” permission to all users?

"Unable to send invitation" error

"To be able to send invitations, you need to add your email to your card in Mac OS X Address Book."
My options are Cancel and Open Address Book. Opening Address Book, takes me right to my email card, which is marked as "me". What's the problem?

Your "Me" card may be corrupted. Delete it, and create a new one.

I am unable to send emails in one go. we used to do same thing using MS-Outlook quite easily. Hoping best reply

In outlook after pressing send button it will directly goes into outbox and we can send another mail in the mean time but here in thunderbird we have to wait to send another mail until the previous mail has been sent.

If you want to send immediately, you need to be in 'online' mode and the 'Send' button is available. Then click on 'Send' to send that email.
However, your description sounds like you want to create several emails, store them in 'Outbox' and then send all in one go. In which case do not use 'Send' for obvious reasons.
Instead use 'Send Later', then the email will be sent to the 'Outbox' where it will stay until you right click on 'Outbox' folder and choose 'Send unsent messages'.
In a new Write message, in 'online' mode, the 'Send' button will be available. There is a small arrow to the right of 'Send' button, it displays a drop down selection which includes 'Send Later' option.
'File' > 'Send Later' is also available.
If you are in 'offline' mode then the 'Send' button is by default replaced by 'Send Later' button.
'Offline' means Thunderbird is not using the internet, so cannot send an email, hence the 'Send Later' option is only available.
You can swap between 'online' and 'offline'.
When in 'Online' mode you will see two blue screen icons in bottom left of Status bar. Clicking on this icon will change to 'Offline' mode and show a two black screen icon. Click ing on that will take you back to 'online' mode.
You do not have to be in 'offline' mode to use 'Send Later' option.

Unable to send alerts to External users

We've implemented SharePoint 2013 for internal and external domain users. We setup all users in our AD but the external users have their own company email addresses. Now, all of our users i.e. Internal DC users and External DC users can access and perform
their work on SharePoint portal. However, External users are unable to receive any alerts.
Any idea?

Any updates?
From your description, alerts work well on internal users while external users won't get email alerts.
Since emails from SharePoint are sent via SMTP server, such as Exchange server. Not sure what SMTP server you are using integrated with SharePoint server. The issue might occur to two stage: one is if the alert is triggerred by SharePoint side, another is
that if the email is sent via SMTP server.
As alerts could be sent to internal users. Then I'd recommend you firstly troubleshoot if SMTP server works well for exteranl users.

Unable to send attachement to iphone user

is there anything that could be done to send and receive pictures and videos with a iphone user?

We were all on blackberry a while back, bbm was the Way to do it, but during the Last few years, more and more People been switching to iphones or Android, but People been using SMS increasingly, as a group we share a lot of pictures and other documents and since i'm the Last one to have a blackberry, can you imagine bbm is not the software used. Moreover, They been trying to convince me the i-**bleep** is a better Way and much more sofisticated tool to use now. I've been telling They were wrong but if what you say is True, then They are right...
BY the Way, its only some iPhone i can't send and receive, cause some of them are working... is it the carrier, the software version? or just that i'm one of the Last dumb that was still thinking blackberry had a chance of a certain future

Unability to send mails on one of my 2 mail accounts

I have an account on me.com and another one on numericable.com. I configured these 2 accounts on mail and I succeeded in receiving my mails on both of them.
Unfortunately, each time I try to send a e-mail with the numericable account, mail answers me that it encountered difficulty to conect to SMTP server ; I checked my user/password and they're OK.
Moreover, the same operation works well when using Outlook, from the Windows side of my iMac, which runs under XP.

Have you run Connection Doctor? Click on Window in the menubar, choose Connection Doctor. If that indicates it connect to your ISP provided SMTP, and without Login, then it means that the Authentication of the SMTP should be set to None, and no Username and Password needed. Many times with cable ISPs, the SMTP is actually authenticated based upon the IP address of the modem there provide you, and attempting to use Password authentication will result in failure. Mail is different in this regard as it will not negotiate this, but requires your attention to it.
If Connection Doctor cannot connect, then more info is needed.

Unable to send text to one mobile from landline

Really scratching my head with this one. My mother uses the house phone (Relate 2100) to send me text messages, The last time this worked was on Saturday. We now find the landline will send texts happily to any phine except my mobile. My mobile can send them to and be received by the Relate but the reply never arrives. I swapped the sim into another phone but no joy. I've sent "reset" to 00000 and "register" to 00000 and desperate to get it working again and want to avoid "Customer Services" who were the reason why I previously left BT (since returned a year ago) as I kept being told different things the final one which was my mother would loose her phone number - we only wanted to change the Direct Debit!

The first thing that came to mind was perhaps something on your mobile phone was doing the blocking, rather than the relate.
Is that a possibilty ? It seems to point that way due to texts being received elsewhere.
Does it look like the relate sends the text alright ?

Unable to send text to one contact only

Can anyone help please ........ All of a sudden I can no longer text one of my contacts. It returns unsuccessful. I can call and can send picture messages but not SMS.
Any help is greatly appreciated

They are using a Samsung on 3 ....... They don't have any other problems with anyone else. It used to work then suddenly stopped. It's been about 2 weeks now. ..... I can send messages to others on the 3 network.
I don't have any issues with any other contacts.

Sending mail to all users in Messaging Server 5.2

I'm trying to send mail to all the users in my mail server, but haven't been able to do it. I'm using a command called deliver which is found in /opt/iplanet/server5/bin/msg/store/bin . I've tried sending messages to all users but have been successful in sending only to one user. Got any ideas??

If you're familir with ldapmodify, you can locate the user's pab in the directory server, and remove what you find there, but, honestly, I'd talk to the user first.. . .. .
A user can work around removal of such, very easily. Any mail client, and a copy/paste will do it.

Wiki Calendars cannot send invitations?

Hi there all
I have recently setup a Lion Server with iCal and Wiki
I have created a group Wiki and enabled its Calendar.
Users can subscribe to the calendar and create events, but cannot send invitations to attendees?
I have tried created the events on the personal calendar page, and in ical client on my mac, but the events will update its time and date etc, but will not let me use the ical server's locations nor send invitations to other users
is there anywhere to get around it?

ICal won't send invites

Hello! Help me please.. I am trying to send invites to attendees and ICal keeps telling me "unable to send invite" and says "To be able to send invitations, you need to create an address card for yourself in Mac OS X Address Book." I have an address card created in the Address book.. what am I doing wrong?

After recreating the card, use Address Book>Card>Make This My Card.
