    Hey
    I've been having issues with a certain group on skype.
    I try to send the message but it says "message not delivered yet" and has a spiral next to it.
    I also am unable to read messages in the group.  I also am unable to leave the group without being kicked from it.
    I have found that being kicked and added back seems to solve it temporarly but would like a more permanent solution.
    I have already tryed updating skype, uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting the computer, typing /remotelogout and nothing seems to fix it.

    SMS/MMS messages do not display the "delivered" indicator. Only iMessages do.
    If you're getting the "delivered" message, that indicates that the recipient either has or had an iOS device set up for iMessage. If that device is NOT their current phone, then tell them to check their iOS device (or Mac) for the messages.

    Hi ,
    Is your Orange phone still working? The EE phone will have a temporary number until yours transfers over.
    When this has transfered you will need to do the below:
    Update your number
    Go to Settings > Phone > My Number.
    Replace the temporary number you find there with your own number - use +44 instead of the first 0.
    Then tap Save.
    Reset iMessage settings
    Your iMessage settings won't reset themselves during porting - the temporary number will still be in your new iPhone.
    To input your old number into your new iPhone:
    Go to Settings
    Tap on Messages
    Tap iMessage ON
    Scroll down to Send & Receive number
    Replace the temporary number with your old number
    Then tap Save.
    That's it, you're all ready for action. with your number.

    i hav gmail and yahoomail, both imap, in my eg. Suddently both stopped working togther. In the past also i faced same issue. I just deleted and reconfigured mail boxes that time and fixed the issue. The issue im facing now is wen i try to remove mailbox it says *unable to remove mailbox this time. Try again later*

    mail boxes are getting connected- i hav access to old emails which was transfered in the past.but not transfering new data,unable to send or recieve. Im waititng for your help

    I had same issue, started a couple of days ago. I deleted the mailbox and reinstalled... with one new issue. Can't be attached to Nokia Messaging, it does not recognize password. I installed the mailbos anyway, setting all manually. Now it works, but not as quick as with Nokia Messaging.Is a GMail account.
    Anyone knows why can't accept the password in Nokia Messaging when installing? I already went into wwww.email.nokia.com and tried to change the password, but I can't. I login with the password on the site that when installing it does not recognize... any idea what can I do to recover the Messaging features?

    my mom and I both have the iphone 4 and neither one of us are able to send or recieve messages or phone calls, the texts works very spuratically but this is extremely annoying! I need my phone for work reasons and if I am not able to recieve the calls how am I supposed to know if I am being called into work or not?! The techs keep telling us that it has to be the phone but with it being two different phones, how is that possible? Are we the only ones have this problem or is there a network outage somewhere here in Colorado that is affecting us? This needs to get fixed ASAP seeing as how I also had an emergency last night and could not place a call!

    Southern California. Texts working OK, but no calls in or out.  The cell phones all get "unable to complete"; when calling them from landlines there's either a fast busy or "not in service or disconnected." We don't use data so don't know about that.
    The news said there was a big outage of data, both 3G and 4G, in many places across the country today, but that it was largely fixed by 2:30pm ET.
    Probably overload from the RNC.

    Try restarting the device first..
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, then swipe the slider to power off.
    Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

    I use Windows Live Mail to download my emails. This is working fine on two computers for other BT Internet and Gmail accounts. But one of my main BT accounts consistently receives the following messages on both computers:
    Unable to send or receive messages for the Btinternet (xxx) account. 
    Server Error: 0x800CCC90
    Server Response: -ERR inactivity timeout
    Server: 'mail.btinternet.com'
    Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800420CD
    Protocol: POP3
    Port: 110
    Secure(SSL): No
    Unable to send or receive messages for the Btinternet (xxx) account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems or a long period of inactivity.
    Server: 'mail.btinternet.com'
    Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F

    Port: 110

    The messages for this account are available via webmail, and sending an email works.

    Hi. Welcome to the forums.
    For starters, the recommendation by many people is to uninstall BT Desktop help.
    If this has always been the case, rather than a sporadic issue, then it could be an account problem that seems to plague some accounts - and has done for years. Hopefully the changeover from Yahoo! to Critical Path will cure this particular issue. Try the other settings mentioned by Keith.
    Even though some accounts are fine, there is still a possibility that your local security software can interfere. For example if you have email scanning turned on - then this can be turned off to see if that helps.

    Welcome to the    Discussions
    The First Step is to try changing the Style of the Messages.
    Open a Chat Window to Anybody (you do not have to Send anything you an only do this when a chat window is open).
    Go to the View Menu > Messages option
    In there change it from balloons to anything else.
    Try a Text Chat with someone.
    If this does not seem to be it try changing the Font choice in iChat > Preferences > Messages.
    The Default is Helvetica and certain variants of this Font can cause problems in iChat (Helvetica Fractions for instance).
    If changing the Font works use the Font Book to check the Font. (presuming you re-installed any Font you may have chosen for iChat.)

    Where are you dragging them to ?
    You Can do it two ways using Drag.
    One is to the Buddy's Name in the Buddy list and letting go  (it gets sent as a loose file)
    The Second is to drag it to the Text field during a Text chat (Excluding Group Chats)
    The First causes an Invite to accept to pop up on the Buddies Screen.
    You can also see see when it is Accepted (you may even have to confirm sending depending on your Settings)
    The Second gets sent as a File Link in the Chat which the Buddy has to Also Accept...
    You can also send files by highlighting a Buddy and going the the Buddies Menu > Send File.
    This method tends to point to error with the File Transfer port not being open.
    So...
    Check you can send Files first by all three methods.  (these tends to ignore  Firewall and Router settings as it is Outgoing)
    Get your Buddy to Send by all three methods.
    IF this is AIM and you are having issues log out of the Account  (IChat > Preferences > Accounts > Account Info Tab (Deselect "Use this Account")
    Now go to the Sever Settings
    Change the Default port from 5190 to 443.
    iChat Logs in on port 5190 using the TCP Protocol.
    File Transfers or Direct IMs when done in a Chat are sent on Port 5190 but on the UDP Protocol (It is Peer-to-Peer).
    Some Router don't like this dual Use.
    If you still have issues then you will need to either Enable the Firewall and check iChat in in the List of allowed Apps and/or open  port 5190 in you router. (on the UDP Protocol if stated)

    If the server says they are wrong then they are wrong. Check the provider's website for iPhone setup instructions.
