Unable to send photos?

I've been having problems all day sending photos.  I can send text and email, but photos sent through text keep coming back as "failed to send message."  I've never had this problem before.  Any thoughts?

Hi
In order to send a picture you need to compose a MMS message not a SMS. In order to use MMS with most carriers you will need a Blackberry Data Plan.
http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/What_do_I_need_a_Data_Plan_for%3F
If you have the plan, then please provide more info. Please provide as much as you are able of the the following
Blackberry Model.
Carrier Name.
Do you have a Data Plan?
Operating System Version go to Menu > Options > About - it looks like v5.0.0.681
Memory for Device and SD Card Options > Memory
Any error statement or code.
The Exact nature of problem - the more info the better.
When this started and whether it started just after an update or new App download and which App/s theme/s download.

Unable to send photos by email or message

    Hi,
Ok, adding your email address to my contact list didn't change anything.
The good news is that your email from your gmail account did get through. It was marked as junk mail but when I declared it safe, the photo appeared.
I looked into the message content for the ones that didn't work and I think the photo is actually still part of the data. It is as though the message header has been corrupted somehow. Since it happens with your service provider but not mine, it suggests that your service provider is perhaps corrupting the header.
I'm not sure how we can get this resolved as the fault could be with Adobe, your service provider or other service providers.
I think the workaround of using your gmail account is probably the best way to go.
You do get a lot of snow there. I live in the UK on the south coast near Southampton. All I have seen is a very light dusting of snow and that quickly disappeared. There were a few local accidents due to the icy conditions. I supposed that the snow is part of your life there - for us it is an exception and so we are not prepared for it.

  • IPhone 4 IOS 7 - unable to send photos via text

I have been unable to send photos via text since updating to IOS7.  All of my settings are up to date and this problem occurs on wifi, 3G and makes no difference if I send the photo via message first or from my camera.  I have read all the troubleshooting guides and nothing has provided a permanent solution.  Resetting the network seems to work for a limited time before the photos come up with the same "not delivered" icon again.
Does anyone know why the reset would work and then stop working if I haven't switched my phone off?
    Thanks

You may have to backup and restore through iTunes. Have you contacted your carrier about this since this feature is carrier-provided?

Unable to send photos. Message...username/password not combatable. I'm computer dense...what next?

Have a current backup before proceeding here.  Time Machine or otherwise.
If no outbound messages are sent...  There are two different server definitions and two different places where you need a user and a password, the first and most obvious setting within mail is for receiving mail; the POP or IMAP setting.  Everybody gets that one.   To get to the credentials and the password used to send mail messages (the one that folks don't find as easily), Mail > Preferences > Accounts > select the account > switch the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) to "Edit SMTP Server List", then find the Yahoo SMTP server entry, then fix the password there.
Here's the Apple mail troubleshooting information.
If that fails, remove the entry and re-add it.
If smaller messages are sent correctly and larger messages are blocked, Yahoo may be restricting the size of the message(s) being sent.  Try smaller messages as a test, or use a file sharing service to transfer the images, or maybe wait for the OS X Yosemite Mail Drop feature.
PS and FWIW, this message was originally posted in the OS X Server forum, and you're not running OS X Server here — OS X Server includes various network services, including a mail server — a mail server is what Yahoo is running here, but OS X Server allows folks to configure and run a mail server locally on a Mac Mini or some other Mac configured as a server.  Your MacBook Air would then connect into that server, in addition to or in place of the Yahoo server.  Like most other mail servers, the mail server within OS X Server can be configured to block larger messages, too.

Are you using Yosemite and not apple's Mail app? Then you may need to set up an app-specific password: See the post below:
Re: I am using iPhoto version 9.6 and I can no longer get an email sent with a photo attached. I get an error message saying the email did not go through because the server did not reply. I can send the photo with Mail. Help!in response to Gary Kissler
This solution is for those of you using 2-step verification for your Apple ID and are using iCloud as the mail server that you are trying to mail photos with.
I too had this issue. The problem in my case occurred because I had setup 2-step authentication for my Apple ID. If you have done this then you will get the error message "the mail server did not recognize your email/password...". To solve the problem go to:
    https://appleid.apple.com
    Click "Manage Your Apple ID"
Verify your identity with the device you selected (if this step does not show up then you have not likely set up 2-step authentication and this is not your solution)
Click Password and Security in the left column
    Click Generate an app-specific password
Enter iPhoto as the name of the app
Copy the password and paste this into the password box in iPhoto where you would normally enter your apple ID (in the mail account section in iPhoto preferences).
    And...voila' (I hope)

  • Unable to send photos/videos or share contacts using iMessage

I have recently been unable to send photos/videos or share contacts using iMessage on my iPhone 4S, although I can send simple text messages. Everything else seems to be functioning as expected. I have tried quitting messages, resetting my network settings and rebooting the phone, none of which has worked. Any suggestions?

You mention iMessage, then you mention text message. Are these messages you are sending in a blue bubble? If so, then they are iMessages. As far as adding content. That would make it an MMS, and you would have to add data to that. You need to either have cellular data on, or be on Wi-Fi for that to work, and to have MMS turned on in the Message Settings. If they are regular text message MMS, then you also have to have a SMS/MMS plan from your carrier.

  • I am unable to send photos from iphoto via email as an attachment to be downloaded onto another computer.  i thought e-mail would automatically pick up these photos if mailed out so they could be downloaded.

At one time I was able to send photos from i photo library and I assumed the receiver could open these and download them into their apple computer (family).
I have tried to send photos from library or folder as attachment but I am also unable to do this.  How do I send pictures as e-mail attachments which can be opened up and downloaded to another computer?

I've managed to sort out my own problem!!  Shall write it down in case there are others out there who have a similar problem.   With iPhoto open, click on iPhoto on the top menu bar.  Click on preferences.  Then click on account.  This let me change the details such as the user name and password.  Luckily I played around with a couple of my usual passwords, and found one that worked.  Have now written it down!!!!

  • Just updated to Photoshop Elements 12 and am unable to send photo via Adobe email.service. I am unable to get a verification code via email to be able to continue the email transmission.

How do I get a verification code which I need to send photo via email from Photoshop Elements 12?  Instructions say that I'm to receive verification code via email but none arrived.

    Thank you very much.

  • Unable to send photo messages

I am not able to send out photo messages via text with my gzone commando. It says it is unable to send and that there are too many messages in my outbox. Help! It's very frustrating.

Do you have an active 3G data connection when you attempt to send the picture messages?
Are you getting an error message saying the memory is full or something?

  • TS4268 I,am unable to send photos via messages but can receive them

I,am unable to sent photos in messages  but can receive them. Help

The SIM question/issue is separate from all of the others.  Your iPhone will not access the cellular newtwork until you install a new SIM.  The current SIM has been deactivated and is now useless.  Get a new SIM, install it (or have it installed), then have your carrier grant the iPhone access to the cellualr network.

  • Unable to send photo via iMessage

    Hi Guys,
I am having some issues sending photos via iMessage between my fathers iPhone 5s and my iPhone 6.
my fathers iPhone 5s can send me photos but when I try and send him a photo it fails with "not delivered", however sending normal text iMessage between the two phones works fine.
and another weird thing I can send photos to other people's iPhone's ????
so is the issue with my iPhone 6 or his iPhone 5s ?

    Hi jake85au,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you are experiencing an issue where you cannot send MMS from the Messages application to your father’s iPhone 5s only. In this situation, I would recommend reading over and working through the suggested troubleshooting steps located in the attached article.

  • App Photos. Unable to send photos with Mail on ios8.

Since i am on  ios8: I can't send selected photos (4-5) with Mail. What to do to make sure Mail will send my photos ?

I have had no problems mailing photos from the Photo App in iOS 8 (now on 8.1.1).
    What problem are you having?

  • When am I unable to send photos to Shutterfly from Elements 12 & unable to upload same in Shutterfly

When I selected 60 photos to send to Shutterfly only 3 showed up. I also tried uploading in Shutterfly but the files were not available. I am using Photoshop Elements 12.

They are in "psd" which is what Elements puts them in.  It wouldn't save them as "jpg."  I guess I have to drag the photos to my desktop to change them to "jpg."  iPhoto used to just send them to Shutterfly with one simple step.  I thought Elements would do the same.

  • Unable to send photos because server doesn't recognize username/password combo

Have a MacBook Air using iPhoto 9.5.1 and operating system OS X 10.9.3.
I have tried to share photos with email using my Yahoo account.  I receive the following message whenever I attempt to send a photo "username/password not recognized by email server."
I have gone into my accounts numerous times in System preferences.  My username/password combo is recognized there.  I have also changed my password on Yahoo and in my accounts.  But I still receive the above message.
    Anyone have any suggestions?
