Hi,
As a new BB user I'm trying to get to grips with how it works.............I've been trying to send pics,mps etc to my BB via bluetooth but keep hitting a brick wall. I've read up on a few posts on what to do but I've tried everything suggested but no joy.
I know you have to go to media and select "receive using bluetooth", I've made sure the devices have been paired but nothing. I can send from my BB but not thge other way. It must be something stupid I'm missing but I can't quite figure out what????????
All I keep getting is "sending failed" from the other device.........please help I'm going mad !!!!!!!

Hi there, what is the other device you are trying to send from? Your strategy of clicking on Receive Using Bluetooth is the correct method, so the only thing that I can think is that either your other device is not able to properly send, or your configuration settings on your BlackBerry are incorrect.
Here are some steps to ensure that you are receiving correctly on the BlackBerry (although it sounds like you are):

Turns out this was a simple set up error for me, although i'd set up mobile me to sync my e mails I had never set up my outgoing message server. Therefore, if I received a message from me.com I could reply no problem, however if the message came from aol.com I couldn't reply.

You can Share the Favourite from Maps by highlighting the favourite>Menu>Share. Unfortunately it only seems to share by sms and email.

IPhone ios 5 still won't send vCard contacts via bluetooth to car system

I have an iPhone 3GS and am running iOS 5.0.1. I have a 2011 Toyota Camry with built-in bluetooth. I see a lot of posts from people talking about the fact that the iPhone can't send vCard name/phone number contact information to a car bluetooth system. Sending via MMS or e-mail is not an option to a car system like this. The car bluetooth system gets put into a mode where it waits for the information from the phone. But there is no option in iOS to send vCards via bluetooth. This capability is something my wife's free Samsung Solstice phone can do, but my "smartphone" / iPhone cannot. Every number I call from the iPhone, therefore, shows as calling "no name" as I can't get basic contact names/numbers sent to the car's system. This is not a far fetched feature and many phones (free ones at that) can do this. When will users be able to get this basic feature? All I need is send vCard contacts via bluetooth...As I said, sending via MMS or e-mail doesn't work for a car. I shouldn't need some app to do this either. It should be another transport feature on the vCard export from iOS.

In order to get contacts onto your in car system, it will need to support the PBAP bluetooth profile (Phone Book Access Protocol). If it does, contacts will transfer automatically on connection. You can not transfer contacts the way you're trying to.
Contact Toyota and see if there is an update available for your system.

Our household has been unable to "send" outgoing emails since 06/29/2010. This includes a wireless laptop and a PC. We both lost the ability to send emails same day. We changed NOTHING and did not share emails with each other that would have corrupted our system. During this time I have had 2 Verizon techs dance around in the PC doing all the same things I did as well as what the automated assistant did. The last tech said the Outlook Express 6.0 was corrupted, and to unistall it and then reinstall; this time 2 hours later, I think he just gave up). That did not work either. I tried using the Outlook Office and still got an error message for outging. Everything is set up as it was when it was working until 06/29/2010. I was told that there was a new server being installed and that things wold be working by 07/02/2010... I have tried taking down the firewall, turning off virus protection (McAfee), changing from outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net to just outgoing.verizon.net, checking boxes, unchecked boxes. SMPT is set to 587. We get incoming fine. I hate using the "Verizon email site" as too much monkey motion to get to mail, but that's what we have been doing. I even tried setting up a GMail account, again got mail still could not send. Any ideas?

I even tried sending an email via dos prompt with Telnet, got past "HELO", but when trying to get a "RCPT TO" (using outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net) I got an "authorization required" response and then was dropped. I have been passed around without a solution. I am about ready to change ISP, but really hate to as most of the time (years now) this has been a decent ISP. If Verizon is having a problem just say so, I can handle it, honesty would be nice, refreshing and not wasting so much of my time as well as the techs!

Its something like , I already have it on my mobile and wanna transfer that file to my another same mobile.
This is case when i am away from my comp. so that i can transfer songs,images etc via bluetooth but not jar files. Is there any option or any software for Nokia 6500 slide ??
I saw in some othen N's phone they have file manager option and they transfer app. via that through bluetooth.
But there is no option in NOKIA 6500 SLIDE ??? Is it a bug ???

Unable to send & recive data from Bluetooth

Unfortunately I can't seem to get any files from any phone via bluetooth. I just get a file transfer error message phone with no futher explanation. I have paired them up accepted the passcodes, turned off encryption but nothing, I even sent a picture from my blackberry to an existing phone which went fine and tried to resend the file back but it just will not work.

You can only send media files that you added.

I am unable to send mail via a yahoo plus account. My out going server is smtp.mail.yaho.com. SSL is selected. Server port is 25. I have tried to change authentication to "password", but it stays as none.
POP functionality works fine.

Where did you get the Yahoo Mail Plus account setup information?
I didn't see any reference on Yahoo's website to use SSL for the SMTP server.
I copied the following account settings from Yahoo's website:

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com (use authentication, optionally use port 587)

Email Address: your Yahoo! Mail address (e.g., [email protected])
Password: your Yahoo! Mail password
I have tried to change authentication to "password",
but it stays as none.
After selecting Password for the SMTP server authentication and entering your Account or User Name and the account's password, are you selecting OK afterwards to save the changed settings?
