Unable to send to Gmail accounts

HI,
I'm running into a problem with the ability to send to gmail accounts from Exchange. After moving to Exchange 2013 I can send to gmail accounts only sporadically. I can never send to multiple gmail recipients and often even one will give a delayed error.
When looking at the delivery report I get a error of '[{LRT=};{LED=};{FQDN=};{IP=}]'. I've checked the SPF records recreated them using Microsoft's SPF Generator. I've even removed the SPF record all together.
I did tests using smtpdiag utility and everything checks out SOA is fine local domain TCP and UDP checks out, Remote records to gmail are good, and the MX servers ( 5 responded).
Am I missing something? Like I said I can send at times and at other times it delay's and then fails.
This is ONLY happening on gmail.
I've waited online for hours for google support and they told me a tech would get back to me ( which of course they never did).
Any Ideas for this would really be appreciated!
Thanks!
J.J.

Hi JJ,
Does this issue occur on a specific time?
How is the impact in you org, only one user or all users?
If only one user has this issue, I suggest creating a test user and mail enabled it on the previous version Exchange server, then migrate to Exchange 2013 and send to Gmail for testing.
According to the NDR message, it seems the email message in the queue expired. The sending server tries to relay or deliver the email message. However, the action is not completed before the message expiration time occurs.
This message can also indicate that a message header limit has been reached on a remote server, or some other protocol time-out occurred while communicating with the remote server.
Found some information for your reference:
4.4.7: This message usually indicates an issue on the receiving server. Check the validity of the recipient address, and determine if the receiving server is configured correctly to receive messages.
You may have to reduce the number of recipients in the message header for the host about which you are receiving this error. If you send the message again, it is placed in the queue again. If the receiving server is available, the message is delivered.
Please also use following tool to check whether you are in the Gmail Blacklist:

I'm unable to open my gmail accounts as my IPad is trying to open both at the same time and it's jammed so I'm unable to access either inbox. Can anyone help?

Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank. Be patient, the device will power ON again in the normal way. It is app and data safe!]

  • Mail on 10.6.2 - unable to send on one account and the other slow to send

Having two large issues with mail on my new Mac/10.6.2:
    1. GMAIL account: since upgrading to 10.6.2 I can no longer send mails. I have tried removing the smtp details and re-adding, with and without SSL and finally removing the email account altogether and redoing the whole setup and all to no avail. When I click send it just gives a continuous spinning wheel on the sending box
    2. The other mail account (on my wifes login) takes about 40-60 seconds to send even a one word email. On 10.4 it was instantaneous. Reading the threads 10.6.2 was supposed to address the issue from 10.6.0 but it seems not
    Any help hugely appreciated

I did get a "stock" response from Apple support, and I am pasting it below.
While it may help some of you, for me it is NOT a solution. It is as if Apple does not even want to acknowledge this major bug.
I temporarily got around the problem by identifying that the parental controls are actually blocking DNS resolution, and not access to the sites themselves!
Therefore, I added the wildcard SSL website to the /etc/hosts file with it's corresponding IP address as to bypass DNS lookups for it. As long as the IP address does not change all will be OK, so I still do not consider this a fix.
    =========== Apple Response ==========
+Secure (HTTPS) websites need to be added to the list of allowed sites (white list). For each site that needs to be added, use the "host" command in Terminal with the domain name to obtain its IP address, then use the host command with the IP address to obtain the reverse domain name. For example:+
    +$ host gmail.com+
    +gmail.com has address 74.125.127.83+
    +gmail.com has address 209.85.225.83+
    +gmail.com has address 74.125.79.83+
    +gmail.com mail is handled by 30 alt3.gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com.+
    +gmail.com mail is handled by 5 gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com.+
    +gmail.com mail is handled by 10 alt1.gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com.+
    +gmail.com mail is handled by 20 alt2.gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com.+
    +gmail.com mail is handled by 40 alt4.gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com.+
    +$ host 74.125.127.83+
    +83.127.125.74.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer pz-in-f83.1e100.net.+
+In this case, the result is "1e100.net" (ignoring subdomains), which is different than the domain we started with. Therefore, add both "gmail.com" and "1e100.net" to the white list.+
+Repeat these steps for each secure site that needs to be accessed in Parental Controls.+

Google may have "locked" IMAP and/or POP access to your account. To unlock it go here:
    https://accounts.google.com/b/0/DisplayUnlockCaptcha
Then try setting the account up on the phone again.

  • Unable to set up gmail account

I have opened an email account with gmail on the Google website. I have tried to set this gmail account to open in my Mac mail, but it will not receive emails and is telling me that port 110 has timed out. Is anyone able to help? Thanks

Hi, so you set it up as POP instead of IMAP?
If POP, is the 2nd method here how you did it?

    Also...
    Gmail send but not receive...
Here are two steps that have come in handy in related situations
    1) login to gmail on your computer or device via a web browser
    2) once logged in successfully, go to this URL to unlock:

  • Email client does not send email (gmail account)

I configured the email account correctly and can see inbox emails. The problem occurs when sending out emails. It keeps trying without giving any error so I have to kill the app to use the client again.
I have a double secured gmail account but I created a unique signin password for this client

    Hi Gabriele Vidali,
I used the double-secured feature on my Gmail account and then created a unique password for the Mail app in my Firefox OS device with Flame v2.0.
I was able to send and receive emails from my double-secure Gmail account with no problems. I didn't receive any errors when sending the email, and the automatic sync worked correctly.
Where did you download version 2.1 from?
I would suggest rolling back your Flame device to at least version 2.0. The version that you are currently using is still very unstable, and it's still actively being worked on, so it's not uncommon that features and apps will break.
Version 2.1 is scheduled to be Feature Complete on October 13th, and then there will still be stabilization and optimization work done on it. Mozilla's code on version 2.1 of Firefox OS is scheduled to be Code Complete on November 21, 2014 - so there's still a lot of work to be done on that version. =)
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you are still having issues sending and syncing your emails on more stable versions of Firefox OS.
    Thanks,
    - Ralph

  • Can receive but not send through Gmail account

Am writing you from Panamá; The settings procedures from Google for my Gmail account worked fine & I can receive messages to Apple Mail program no problem (on Mac OS X, version 10.4.7 --- this is a PowerPC G4 iBook).
The mystery is when I send. It says the SMPT isn't working, or sometimes I get a wrong port # message. These are in the account settings for Apple Mail.
    Any ideas?

  • I'm unable to connect my Gmail accounts to Apple Mail.

All - I've been working on this for hours.
All I want to do is connect my gmail accounts to Apple Mail.  I'm running a new Macbook Air w Mountain Lion, Apple Mail 6.5.  I can access the accounts on my ipad and iphone.  I've spent hours reading forums and help areas.
Mail repeatedly asks for my password.  In the account settings it does not save my password.
I've gotten the message that Mail cannot connect to Google imap server, but I do not believe this is a "timing" issue
    Here's what I've tried:
    Apple Side:
    -  Tried adding and deleting accounts several times within mail application
    -  tried using System Preferences > Mail/Contacts etc.
    -  Changed imap.gmail.com to imap.google.com
    -  changed to custom dedicated port for outgoing mail (587)
    -  closed and relaunched Mail
    -  Rebooted and safe rebooted computer
    -  set up and deleted accounts
    -  turned off gmail on phone and ipad
    Google Side:
    -  Enabled IMAP
    -  Not using 2 step verification
    -  Checked Captcha

If you've activated 2-step verification, you need to generate an application-specific password in your Google account and enter it in place of your old password.

  • I am unable to add my gmail account on iPad

I had my gmail and hotmail account set up on my iPad now since 2 weeks. Suddenly today when trying to retrieve emails on gmail a pop up came up saying my password is incorrect. That's strange in the first place. But when I enter Password it says your iMap.gmail.com password is incorrect. When I log into gmail independently thru URL there is no problem.
I need help to sort this out

  • Unable to re-add gmail account to Mail app

I'm trying to re-setup a Google email account that I deleted from my Macbook Pro (Yosemite). I get the following message when trying to set it up in Internet Accounts:
There was a problem setting up the Mail account.
Mail couldn't discover the account settings for the Mail server "mydomain.com".
If I click OK, my contacts, Calendar, and Messages accounts are all configured. Only the Mail account isn't checked (or setup in Mail). When I try to check the box, it immediately unchecks with no error given.
I noted the following log entries in the system log, not sure if they are related:
11/9/14 1:23:38.770 PM com.apple.preferences.internetaccounts.remoteservice[3960]: Neither of UserNameIsEmailAddress or UserNameMatchesEmailAddress were set for [email protected], pretending that UserNameMatchesEmailAddress is set

(The connection to service named com.apple.CrashReporterSupportHelper was invalidated.) UserInfo=0x7fb90b4236d0 {NSDebugDescription=The connection to service named com.apple.CrashReporterSupportHelper was invalidated.}
I've tried setting the account up manually ("Add Other Account...") but that also failed. I've tried repairing within Disk Utilities. I've restart multiple times.
I've verified that IMAP is enabled for this account. I am able to set this account up in the third party app Postbox (another email client for mac) with no issues.
There must be something wrong with my local configuration and I'm out of ideas. Help?

precisely the same issue on 2 computers on 10.9 and 10.10
    - the accounts are google apps for business accounts
    - imap is on
    - 2 step verification is off
    - upgrading the 10.9 machines resulted in the same issue/error
    - running onyx and cleaning out everything did nothing
    - trashing mail prefs nothing
    - creating new user account on the macs...same issue
    - i can setup the accounts on my own 10.10 machine (ios also works for those 2 accounts)
completely dead in the water....my next step to try is to clean install the 2 effected machine....

    You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.
