Unable to set as ringtone file is unprotected N73

I can transfer my mp3 to my N73 V 3.0716.1.5.1 without any problem PC suite.
They get converted either to m4a or aac format and I can listen to them.
However, when I want to set them as Ringtone I get the following error: Unable to set as ringtone file is unprotected
I was reading that this has something to do with symbian coding or whatsoever, but thats just above my level.
I am using XP service pack 2.
The MP3 files are encoded by dbpoweramp by myself.
I am gratefull for any advice.
Considering the N73 I have to say, Nokia should be ashamed to call this a multimedia phone. I own it for 1 week now, but discovered so many buggs already.

Unfortunately my provider is Softbank Japan (former Vodafone)
Is there any way to sneak around that?
How about that certificate manager, if I erase those symbian certificates, would that maybe help?

You should also change your temp directory to something woth no spaces, something like C:\temp.
Sapisnt sometimes has problems with the spaces in the temp path, and the Universal Installer nearly always
has a problem with this.

Unable to set max log file size to unlimited

Hoping someone can give me an explanation of an oddity I've had. I have a series of fairly large databases. I wanted the make the database log files 8GB in size with 8GB growth increments with
unlimited maximum file size. So, I wrote the script below. It seems to have worked but the database max size doesn't show as unlimited, it shows as 2,097,152MB and cannot be set to unlimited using a script or in SSMS by clicking on the unlimited radio button.
2TB is effectively unlimited anyway but why show that rather than actually setting it to unlimited?

Unable to Set Custom Ringtones on E63

Just got this phone (new) and have been fairly happy. HOWEVER, I have one grief that I have yet to get resolved. Except for one of my contacts, I can not seem to set either mp3's or aac's as a custom ringtone for a contact. Though I have gone through the process multiple times, only my custom default ringtone plays when I receive a call.
I would appreciate any and all help that will assist me in getting this resolved. To say I am slightly frustrated would be an understatement. Thanks ahead of time to all responses.

Duplicate numbers causes a number of problems, this was just one. It also will not display the caller's name if there is a duplicate. It's not confined to the E63 either.

Illustrator won't run: "unable to set maximum number of files to be opened"

I have an intel macbook pro (core duo with 2GB ram) and a copy of purchased adobe creative suite 2. Other applications in the suite like photoshop, acrobat, etc can run on my mac without any problem. But when I try to run illustrator, it just shows an error message "Unable to set maximum number of files to be opened" and quits. I also installed a trial version of illustrator cs3 and got the same problem. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Illustrator CS4 problem loading: unable to set max files...

Haven't opened AI CS4 in a few months. Used to load just fine. Today it crashes when loading and I get this error message: 'Unable to set maximum number of files to be opened.' I'm running OS 10.4.11 on a MacBook. The rest of the CS4 suite opens just fine. I have already removed the preference file for Illustrator out of the user library and also removed the 'com.adobe.illustrator.plist' file. Restarted computer. Still can't open the program.

Unable to set breakpoint in UIX file

I am trying to set a breakpoint in a uix file (within the xml itself ) and I receive an error. The breakpoint looks like it gets set in jDeveloper but the error displayed is:
Unable to set breakpoint ( searchRequest.uix ), unable to resolve Jave Package.
Can you not set breakpoints in the uix file itself? If not where should I look to set the breakpoint?

More information: I have debug turned on in the uix_config.xml. I can see where it gets to the eventhandler named "goQuery"

It looks like the forward "query" is never executed and when executing the submit, it resets the page. I would like to step through this to see what is occurring so that I can correct whatever is happenning. But not know where to set break points in the uix page is frustrating.

Unable to Set Ringtones on SPA509 Phones

Hello Everyone!
In one of my UC320w deployments, I've received a call from the end users who have noticed that they are unable to change the ringtones on their phones. The options are available and they can navigate and play different tones, but as soon as a tone is selected, the phones revert to the "Classic" ring. They have verified that this affects all phones, so I'm assuming there's something in the 320 preventing this change from sticking, though for the life of me I cannot find a setting that would block this anywhere. The call came in last Monday, and the system auto-rebooted yesterday, so I don't know that another reboot would fix this. I have other sites set up in the same configuration where the users do not have this issue, so I'm at a loss. Do you have any ideas that may help?

after opening an email I knew to be a phishing attempt, I forwarded it to my bank's spam/phishing email address. I did NOT click any link in the suspicious email. only forwarded it.
now when I try to send an email I get the following error message:

I can't find a temp directory. where is this and how do I fix it?

Try to start *Windows* in safe mode with networking enabled.

Palm Pre: Unable to set a song as a ringtone

I just got my Pre and downloaded music from my iTunes. But I can't set a song as a ringtone. I tried to put it to specific contacts, like it says I can, but it doesn't work. I select a song but it will take me back to the system ringtones where I have to go back to hit "done" so it doesn't save (done only appears on the initial 'edit' screen). The contact will still say "set a ringtone" or sometimes I get the error message "Adding ringtone failed. File may already exist" (probably because I keep trying it but it doesn't work!)
Anyone have a fix or what step am I missing?

I am having a very similar problem that just started happening. I have had my pre since it debut. Up until today I could change ringtones no problem wether it be an mp3 or preloaded tone. I created my own ringtone at www.makeownringtone.com where you take whatever lyrics from the song you want as the ringtone. It added successfully but when I select it for the ringtone it puts the check mark like it was successful and then I have some one call and it plays the pre default ringtone. When I change it again and close it out then go back into the ringtones it still has pre as the ringtone. Even if I select another preloaded ringtone it won't change. Have any ideas or suggestions for this one! I am going to sprint tomorrow and I can't wait to see what they say!

Unable to set JVM file encoding to UTF-8 on Windows

I am running Tomcat on 1.5.0_05 JRE. I tried several things to set the jvm file encoding to UTF-8 instead of the default Cp1252, but no luck yet.
The most intuitive approach seems to be to use a JVM option like
"-Dfile.encoding=UTF-8"
but this does not seem to have any effect. I have a WinXP pro m/c. I saw some bug reports which seemed to indicate that changing the JVM file encoding is not an available feature....is that correct? I would really appreciate any help/pointers on this. I will post the solution if I find something in the meantime.

I am fail to set it too. I think it is better to separate the file.encoding into two, one for accept local OS, the other for compile .java and .jsp and so on files. So we can change it and the bugs will be decrease!

Unable to set ringtone for each contact

After upgrade to the 5.1.1 iOS I was not able to set individual ringtone to each of contact anymore.
All my contacts are using the same default ringtone when ever anyone calls.
When I go into contact and hit edit I can see the different ringtone already setup for each contact and when I click it I can hear it play just fine. Then I exit and went back to main screen and try to call the phone and it still using the default ringtone.
Any idea how did this happen or how to fix it? I am trying not to reset the phone.

When you call your phone from another, is your iPhone picking up the caller ID that is in your Contacts, or does the incoming call just have a number (or maybe "unavailable")?
Also, there should be no harm in Resetting your iPhone, that is not the same as Restoring it (even if you did Restore it, you could back it up first and re-load the backup as long as your Contacts and Camera Roll are backed up somewhere).

If they were songs you purchased from itunes, try redownloading them from your purchases...
if that doednt work, make sure the optuon to copy files to itunes media folder is checked in settings, then find and download from the net. and re-add them to your library

If you have added the ringtone file correctly to iTunes, it will appear under iTunes 'Tones' library.
If you don't find Tones library in iTunes, go to iTunes menu EDIT/PRFERENCES under GENERAL tab, check the Tones Box under Library source to display Tones library in iTunes.
iTunes accepts only m4r file as ringtone and has to be less than 40secs.
