Unable to set automatic download

I have an iphone 3GS and have installed iOS5. I am trying to enable Automatic downloads (Settings > Store ). When i use the slider to turn on the automatic download for the apps / music / books (any or all of them) the sliders slips back to turn the option off.
Only the slider for the option Use Cellular data lets it be set to ON. The other options are being set back to OFF.
Has anyone had this issue?

i found another post to resolve this issue.
just log off from app store and log in again ... did it and now the slider works as expcted.
not sure how to close the post

Adobe Acrobat XPro - Unable to set automatic date in form

I created a layout in Indesign and brought it into Adobe Acrobat XPro to create a form.
I have not been able to get the form to automatically populate a date when it opens. In fact, I am unable to even type in the box now. I entered this code under validate in the text properties:

I also entered this code in another area:
Under page properties, page thumbnails and page properties. Under actions - Select trigger - page open. I added a run a javascript action:

You can use the following code to catch and display the error message:

If the error message displays "f is null" then you have a missing field or are using the wrong field name.

I have downloaded songs from itunes in my old macbook which appears automatically in the playlist, but when buy a new macbook and downloaded some songs, a new playlist ws created automatically and all recent song i"ve downloaded goes to that playlist, how can I set the song that I download to the old playlist automatically so I wont edit everytime I download songs, thank

Might that new playlist be a smart playlist named something like "Recently Added"?
Yes, iTunes does create such a smart playlist and uses it to house recently downloaded songs.
If you want the songs to go to an existing playlist as well, set up the smart playlist to include rule(s) to include the latest additions.

Changing iTunes Store accounts with Automatic Downloads

I use my Mac Mini at home as my media server/HTPC, and contains my iTunes library. I want to copy all my music to my MacBook Air for work, as my internet at work is too slow for iTunes Match to work effectively. Therefore, I was going to set Automatic Downloads for music on both Macs so that they would stay in sync.
However, I have both an Australian iTunes store account and an old UK one, which I still use to download BBC TV programmes from. According to the Apple KB though:
"Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days."
Does this mean that I can't change the store from AU to UK for 90 days? Or is the Apple ID you use in the store different to the device's Apple ID?

I'm having this problem too (except with from Japan to US)! Did you ever get a solution? I don' want to create a new account because I want to keep all of my purchases.

My iphone is set to automatically download. i just made some purchases from my ipad and now my phone has the app and songs showing up, but it says waiting to download. what gives and how do i fix?

i have an iphone, imac and 2 ipod touches 5th generation. I just purchased some apps and songs on the ipad with hopes they would transfer to all the other devices. some of them did go to all devices while others did not. when i go to purchases on one of the ipods they show up as not purchaced (even though they may be on 2 of the other devices). my iphone has them there, but it says waiting to download. its been a day and they are still waiting to download. I've checked settings on all and they are set to automatically download and all devices share the same apple id. not sure what ive done wrong and have tried several things. hopefully i haven't confused you too much.

My problem was that Software Update didn't check for updates every day, and maybe never...

Basically all you have to do is open the Terminal and type:
     sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist ScheduleFrequency 1
The number, 1 in this case, means the frequency which Software Update is going to check for updates, so 1 means every day.
If this doesn't work you can try two things (or both, but in this order)
     - Go to /Library/Preferences/ and delete the file: com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist, then open Software Update... to create a new file, and go to System Preferences to configure it again. Finally open the Terminal and try the command at the beginning of this comment.
     - If Software Update continues without checking for updates every day, open the file: com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist and you will see a preference that is: ScheduleFrequency with the number 1 at its right and you will see that the type is String, copy the file to the Desktop (for example) and change the type String to Number, then drag the file in the Desktop into the Preferences folder and replace the first. It will work. (For this part you will need Xcode)

How do I set up automatic downloads so that i only get content from specific devices?

Hello! I was wondering if there was a way I could set up automatic downloads so I only get content purchased from certain devices. I have a MacBook Pro and a ipod touch. I share an apple id with my family for itunes but have my own apple id for icloud. In my family we have various other apple products (iphones and ipads) and I dont want most of the things that my family would download on their devices - just the things would happen to download on my ipod and computer.

Mail is automatically downloading from our Earthlink POP account even though the account is set to "manual."

We have a new MacBook Pro with Mavericks. The mail is automatically downloading from our Earthlink POP account even though the account is set to "manual."
Is there another way to stop Mail from automatically downloading? Is there another setting in Notifications or some other place I'm missing?
(We'd rather check for spam and delete online where we can just check off boxes and hit delete than download and then have to look at each message to delete.)

You can put an account into Offline mode by clicking on the account and selecting " Take "EarthLink" Offline"

Wireless issues in setting up an automatic download for a train system

Hi All,
I have been tasked to get a project back on track for a train locomotive system that has been installed, The system purpose is to automatically download logs from the train to a SFTP (SSH) Server once the train is in the vicinity of a Access Point.
The layout of the system is
I can connect up with a laptop and copy a file to the SFTP Server.
However the loco is unable to connect to the SFTP server.
I can see the 3201 connect to the AP

My question is, should the Cisco 3201 IP be in the same subnet as the AP and why I cannot see the Alias address on the CMU if the Cisco 3201 is in bridge mode

Is there any way to set email to automatically download images?

Is there any way to set the email on my 8330 to automatically download images? Currently using o/s v4.5.0.173. Email settings are set to enable HTML Email & set to download images automatically but I still have to tell it to download the images and go through the prompts advising that downloading internet images can expose your internet address, blah blah blah.
