Unable to set monthly recurring calendar items for...

Due to the inability to sync Thunderbird calendar with my 2630, I have resorted to re-entering appointments into my phone via PC-Suite. The only problem is, I have a number of recurring monthly appointments that occur on say 1st Monday of the month etc, but PC-Suite insists on only adding them based on the day of the month the initial entry - ie 5th of each month. Is there a way I can alter the way such recurring events are handled? Any ideas appreciated

Unable to set property Refresh Completed Items for UWL system

Hello Experts,
We are on NetWeaver 7.40 SP2 and UWLJWF version is 1000.7.40.2.0.20130411234700.
We have configured a system object with system alias SAP_ECC_HumanResources pointing to the backend ECC system.
I am creating a UWL WebFlowConnector system with this same system alias in the UWL Administration page to fetch ABAP Workflow workitems from the backend and display those in the portal UWL.
When I try to check the checkbox for the Refresh Completed Items: property and click Save it shows me an error message saying Could not connect to back end SAP_ECC_HumanResources to check if it supports direct custom retrieval feature.
I have already followed the steps for Prerequisites for Enabling Refresh of Completed Items and Activation in Back-end System mentioned in the link Enabling Refresh of Completed Items but still getting the above error.
I have also tried restarting the UWL service as given here (UWL) Error while configuring the Refresh of Completed Items Mechanism
Can anyone give any suggestions what else needs to be checked for this property to work for the UWL system?

Hello Experts,
I have managed to resolve this problem. The RFC Destination configured for UWL WebFlowConnector had some problems and it was not able to ping to the backend system. I got this RFC Destination re-configured and then restarted the UWL service and following this I am now able to set the Refresh Completed Items property for the UWL WebFlowConnector system.
However now when I am trying to set a value of 30 seconds in the Delta Pull Channel Refresh Period (in Seconds): property and saving the change, I am getting a warning message The backend of system SAP_ECC_HumanResources is not configured for optimized delta pull.
How do I go about setting this value for the delta pull refresh?

Outlook Recurring Calendar Items - cannot open single instance

Hi,
I have a customer recently migrated from Rackspace email to Office 365. Just this one user has some calendar issues.
She has a ton of recurring calendar items been migrated over.
Initially, connecting Outlook 2013 to O365, read calendar items fine
After a few days (Not sure what trigged this), the user cannot access single item of the recurring event, it gives error "cannot open, this might be temporary. You changed one of the recurrence of this item, and this instance no longer exists..."
for the same item, go to OWA to access, it's fine!
Can't figure out what's the issue. if it's corrupted item, why the server end/OWA is ok? If this is ok, why outlook sync was originally ok?
I think this is outlook issue rather than office 365?

Hi John,
Since it works correctly in OWA, there might be some corruption in OST file. We can try recreate the OST file and then test the issue again. To do this, exit Outlook, navigate to the .ost file and then rename it to .old. Then, restart Outlook to sync
a new one from the server. By default, the OST file is stored in the following folder path:
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook
Please let me know the result.

Hi I am not trying to change any setting. I am trying to increase the size of the volume. I understand in case of a Snapmirrored volume the fs_fixed options is ON.But one can always increase the actual volume size using vol size command. Even if I increase the size on ONTAP on the file system side it will show as the size same as source. I understand that. So my question is why is it prevenitng me from increasing the size. I use the Google Calendars for pretty much everything, and the "Goosync" service to synchronise it with my mobile...
That way you can create an event in the Google Calendar, and set it to repeat as you wish... Then sync it to your mobile...
There's probably other ways, but it's not a big issue for me, so that suits me fine

I am unable to set up Microsoft Outlook on my I pad. After I put in my email address for outlook it asks for a password and it will not take my apple password. Am I supposed to use something else?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Outlook Recurring calendar items incorrect dates

I am using PC Suite 6.85.12.0 loaded on a Windows XP computer Service Pack 2 with the latest updates and two Nokia 6085 phones. I use MS Outlook 2007 with Microsoft’s Business Contact Manager installed. Connection is via Bluetooth.
I am only synchronising calendar items from the PC to the mobile phones and not vice versa. Non-repeating Outlook calendar items are shown on the correct dates and times. Repeating items are giving what seem like random dates but the same on both phones. I have not identified as pattern.
Any ideas?

If you look in the phone calendar menu, the supported recurrence pattern is as what you said. This is true for both my E65 and my old 7610. I admit that one cannot enter a recurrence pattern '2nd Wednesday of every month' directly in to the phone.
But synchronizing is another thing, I have been using such advance recurrence by entering them into Outlook 2002 and synchronizing them to 7610 for more than 3 years ! The phone, somehow, by connecting via previous version of PC suite, reflected exactly what I entered in to Outlook. Maybe the software just took the 'picture' of what appear in the Outlook calendar and translate into the format the phone preceived, without trying to match their structure. You should check this with those who wrote the old software. When I purchased the E65 three months ago, I can continue using such feature without any problems. Until I bought the new laptop and the old PC suite has gone with the old laptop. I have to download the PC Suite 6.85, I then started to have the problem. I have been looking for download site where I can get the old version, but so far not successful.
I am a business man, and when come to calendar I am a serious user. In business reality, you seldom have recurrent appointment like '9th of every month'. Because this month it could be Wednesday, the following the 9th is Saturday. If a phone system cannot meet advanced recurrent pattern requirement, you can no longer call it 'smartphone' or ultimately 'business phone'. I strongly believe Nokia marketing team would not agree with you.

How do I prevent/fix iCloud from creating duplicate CONTACTS "notes" and recurring CALENDAR items?

I use a PC with Outlook 2010 at my office. At home I use and iMac. My mobile devices are an iPad & iPhone. I just upgraded all operating systems and switched from Mobile Me to iCloud. Everything (new appointments, new contacts) seems to sync as it should with a couple of exceptions;
1) In the "notes" sections of my CONTACTS I now have triplicates of all of my "notes" for each individual contact (with thousands of contacts it would be impossible to clean this up one at a time). Does anyone know how to easily fix this so that I only have 1 set of notes for each contact?
2) Regarding the CALENDARS...in Outlook and the other devices, I'm only running the iCloud calendars (all others are unchecked) however, there are multiple Calendars that seem to have been created. I've deleted all calendars that aren't necessary or don't appear to be used, however in my iOS devices (iphone & ipad) when I tap the CALENDARS button to open the SHOW CALENDARS pane, I can scroll down and see a section that says "Other" and has a "Birthdays" calendar which is obviously pulling the data from Outlook. This "birthday" calendar doesn't show up anywhere in Oulook. 95% of my contacts were originally created in Outlook and when known, I have put their birthdays, anniversaries, etc. in the corresponding fields. Normally, this would create a recurring event/reminder in Outlook but now I have 2 to 4 of the same event in each device. If I delete the redundant Birthdays/anniversaries, etc. (shown in grey & blue on my calendar vs. another little icon of a birthday present) on the iOS devices the calendar on Outlook will no longer show these events (90% of the time I'm relying on my Outlook calendar at work for these reminders). I would like to be able to see the same data as only 1 occurence of each event across each of my devices. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated.

The problem may be that the iphone is immediately syncing with icloud and losing the newly restored data. You might turn off your router. Once restored, turn off icloud on the device, turn on the router, then turn on the iphone.
(I'm going by memory on this, and that hasn't been too reliable lately.)

My Web Calendar is set for the "Month" Preference, and I tried publishing various calendars using Day/Week/Month views. They all opened up in Month on the Web Calendar.
I then changed my Web Calendar "Preferences" to "Week" and then published the various calendars and they opened in the "Week" view. The individual preference is obviously kept in a cookie which is recorded on the viewing computer..
It appears as if the only way the viewer can change the view is though the preferences. It did not matter which view I actually published.
You will have to let your PC/Mac friends know that they have "individual" choices on how they wish to view the published calendar.

I am trying to set-up sybase connection pool in wls6.1 using the supplied jConnect driver (don't know the version of the driver). In diff places I am seeing diff opinions about the settings. It is really frustrating because BEA doc shies away from documenting just the sybase details although it provides details about Oracle, informix and SQL Server.
I just want to know these
1. the xml string for the connection pool
2. which config file should have it (web.xml or config.xml or something else?)

set username
set password
add oracle.jdbc.drivers.OracleDriver into the JVM options -Djdbc.drivers
restart the server
test the connection
it works :)

Unable to set up a dual boot for Snow Leopard and Lion

I'm running an early 2011 MacBook Pro. I originally ran this machine with Snow leopard for quite a while. I've got 8 GB RAM and lots of free space on my hard drive. I upgraded to Lion and it works well. But I want to boot to Snow Leopard from an external drive to run some old Rosetta apps. However, I couldn't run the Snow Leopard installation disk on the Lion Machine. When I tried to boot to the installation disk, I would get a beeping sound during startup, three beeps in a row - repeating, and it would not boot. So I connected the external to another machine running Snow Leopard and I installed a new version of Snow Leopard on the external drive. But my Lion machine will not boot from that external. I am able to select the Snow Leopard drive in the Start Up Disk pane in the prefs. But when I restart, I just get the three beeps. I must be missing something here. Any help would be appreciated.

If it really was a RAM problem that serious, the computer wouldn't get as far as checking the OS version, and it has no problems booting Lion. In the event of a minor RAM problem, it wouldn't produce three beeps like that at all.

I use both French and English on my iPad. I now have an external keyboard, with French Canadian CSA layout. However, the Canadian French CSA layout for the hardware (external) keyboard is not available when using English as an input language. Many other layouts are available (e.g., US, Spanish ISO, etc.), but not this one. French Canadian CSA layout is available with French as the input language.
How can I add Canadian French CSA hardware keyboard layout when using English as the input language?

It's not possible for users to add keyboard layouts to any iOS device. All you can do is ask Apple to add it in a future update:

Unable to set up free trial software for photoshop CS4

Hello
I have downloaded the above software but when i try to set up i get a error message saying that acrobat com exe is currently running and to quit or retry. i am not currently running this programme and have checked my computer which shows no programmes running. how do i correct this to allow me to access this software. have tried quit/retry on numerous occasions but each timne get same message
i have tried installing as administrator also and still get same message
i run a dell inspiron laptop that uses vista software if this helps
