Unable to set up email account on Outlook

I have set up some new email accounts on my website and i tried to create an account on Outlook, but it's not working. I have tried just about everything. Is there anyone who has setup email accounts from BC on Outlook? Please can you send me a guideline or tell me if there is something specific I must do.
Thank you

  • Getting unknown error 0x8004011c. when trying to set up email account in Outlook 2013 with a Domain

    Hi all
The title basically states the problem - Outlook 2013 wont set up with a Domain. This only seems to affect Windows 8.1 pro, Win 7 Pro has no problems.  If I log on to the computer itself (not the domain) Outlook runs no problem
If anyone has any ideas I would be most grateful
    Thank you
    Fionnbarr

    Hi Fionnbarr,
When you say "...with a Domain", do you mean login to the computer with a domain user account?
Does this happen on all your Windows 8.1 clients? What's the error message in full? At which exact step will you get this error?
So you have observed that "This only seems to affect Windows 8.1 pro", it could be an issue with this specific system. I would suggest we first check for Windows updates and install any available ones, then try again.

  • Unable to set up email account on iPhone

    Hello everyone,
Please bear with me because I am new to the iPhone and a recent convert from Blackberry. OK, here is my problem.
I have 3 email addresses, 2 of them have set up just fine and dandy on my iPhone, the third refuses to get past the bit where you type in the imcoming and outgoing server bits (I've copied the setting exactly from Microsoft Outlook so I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right). It says that 'secure connection failed' and that 'the certificate may not be valid', I've tried clicking on continue anyway but nothing happens, it just tries for ages to verify the account. I'd be grateful if someone could please help.
    Best Wishes,
    Jules

A quick Google search tells me that Webmail is an Earthlink system.
Perhaps one of these POP server settings will work?

  • How can I set up a "receive only" email account in Outlook 2010

I have an Outlook 2010 email account that receives emails from a "Fax-to email" service, and I'd like to make that accout "Receive Only".  Is it possible to do that, and if so, how.
    Capt. Dinosaur

    Hi
As per the information and details provided by you, to set up a
“Receive Only”email account in Outlook 2010, please follow these steps: -
You have a few options available to you. You can set up the account with
a fake SMTP server name and configure the Send/Receive group to not send mail from this account, or you can use a different, valid account for the Outgoing server, just in case you accidentally use the wrong account when you compose a message.
First, create the account in Outlook: -
Fill the name and address fields with the desired information. Select
POP3 account type and enter the incoming server name.
In the Outgoing server field, type
    nomail.
Enter the correct username and password for the incoming mail account.
If you want to verify the incoming server is correctly configured, click on
Test Account Settings, and then choose the dialog after the incoming server is verified.
    Deselect the option to
Automatically test account settings when the Next is clicked.
    Click on the
    Finish to return to Outlook.
Because Outlook will error on every manual send and receive when it can not find the outgoing server error, you need to change the
Send and Receive Settings for this account.
    Press
Ctrl+Alt+A to open the Send/Receive Settings dialog. (or you can go to
Send/Receive tab, Send/Receive Groups and select Define Send/Receive Groups.
    Click the
    Edit button.
Select the receive-only account, then deselect
    Send Mail Items.
    Click on the
OK, then Close to return to Outlook.
I hope this information will be helpful for you.
    Thanks and regards

  • How do i add an active email account in outlook to set up icloud

how do i add an active email account in outlook to set up icloud

would love to know the answer to the question.  i do have outlook up and running and want to sync it using icloud to all my devices.  thought that installing icloud on my pc would do this - maybe I am wrong.

  • "Add an email account to Outlook Before setting up ICloud"

When I click the boxes in Icloud to sync the Outlook calander and Contacts I get the message "Add an email account to Outlook Before setting up Icloud"  I have an hotmail account synced up into my outlook. Am i doing something wrong or is this an issue apple needs to fix.
I am running Windows 7 pro with 64bit  and outlook 2010

johnfromfort dodge: I can't access your latest reply for some reason, but I'll respond anyway.
I'm using both the calendar and contacts with Outlook 2010 on two PCs & iPhone 3GS and it works fine. I had trouble at first getting it to recognize Outlook on my main PC, but when I installed it on my husband's, it worked the first time.
When I finally got it working on mine, I did get a mess of a calendar, but I just deleted what it imported, then replaced it with my backup. I was a bit worried what would happen when my husband's came back online, but it seems to be working great.
Sure, it took some time and frustration, but it's worth it. I've been waiting for a solution like this for a long time. Plugging my phone into iTunes on 2 PCs to keep everything in sync was a drag and that didn't always work seamlessly either.

  • How do you set up a .mac email account in Outlook?

My .mac email address stopped working in Outlook (2010) on 4/30/12. Is this something to do with the new icloud? I reset my password, but that did not seem to help. I can log in to me.com still, but Outlook still does not recognize something and will not download msg's. Can I still set up an old .mac email account in Outlook? thx

I have a similar problem with my husband's PC.  I've finally got iCloud set up for him but Outlook doesn't recognize his iCloud user name/password and won't collect his mail.

  • I can't create an email account in Outlook 2013 for my exchange server

Have tried many things on this issue.
I have a new tablet PC running Windows 8. I am able to connect to my Exchange Server account using Windows 8 Mail, no problem but when I have tried to set up an account for Outlook 2013 to connect to the same Exchange Server using exactly the same login
information I cannot get it to connect. I simply get the message that the Exchange Server is unavailable.
I've been able to connect a variety of other devices to the same Exchange Server account without any problem - iPhones, Windows Phone, iPads, etc, etc all without problem. It's just this device and Outlook 2013 seems to be the issue. From checking various
forums seems this is not an isolated issue but I've not been able to find a useful solution so far. Have deleted the user profiles and .ost files, switched off caching etc, all to no avail.
One key difference between the account information required by Windows Mail and Outlook is that in the Windows Mail system I am prompted to enter my domain information. I know this is critical from the information provided to me by our network administration
team but there is nowhere in the Outlook account setup process where I can enter my domain info.
Closest I've been able to get to success is to use the manual account creation process and select the Exchange ActiveSync option - this gets me to the point where I'm prompted for my username and password info but it fails at this step because I am connected
to a local domain (the domain account for the PC) and my user name and password are not accepted. There is nowhere in this login process that I can find where I can enter the correct domain info.
Any ideas on a solution would be very much appreciated - I use Outlook extensively in my work and whilst the Windows 8 Mail system is good, it doesn't have the level of functionality I need.
    Many thanks
    Wayne.

Have managed to solve this with your help Martina regarding using the domain\username combination.
Here's the solution in detail in case anyone else is having similar problems.
From control panels - select the User Accounts and Family Safety item, then the Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2013) item and then the Email Accounts option.
Select the Email tab and click 'New... button to create a new email account
Choose the standard Email account option in the following form. (Not the 'Manual' option'
Enter your Exchange account details - no alterations necessary here. just your standard details.
As the account verification proceeds you are prompted to again enter your username and password details. In this form, instead of using the top option with your username already populated, click the lower 'Other user' option and enter your domain\username
details. This changes the domain. Enter your password as usual.
I was prompted to do this twice - same each time. Enter domain\username in the username field and usual password
    Account is then created.
Open Outlook to complete the process and synchronise data with Exchange.
Hope this is helpful to others - again, many thanks for your assistance Martina.
    Wayne.

  • How to set up email account for 9360

    Hello,
I have problem on setting up my email account.. I have a hotmail account but I can't access it through my blackberry. At first I tried to set it up via set up-email account etc but I couldn't. Then I opened my browser, clicked on communication and then integrate hotmail but the stage doesn't''t open at all.It appears the message unknown error, please try again. Can anyone help me???

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
It's a pity that all we have to go on is "but I couldn't"...error messages and step by step of what you try and what happens can be much more helpful in diagnosis. But, from what you describe, it sounds like you don't have an adequate BB-level data plan from your mobile service provider...so I recommend you ring them up (vodafone, according to your profile entry here) to sort this out.
    Good luck!

Is this happening when you try to receive mail, or send mail? When you create the account, does it verify? You should see a message that it is verifying, and if it does.

I can't set up exchange account in outlook 2011 automatically. who can help me out?
and how can know whether the account has been added successfully?

If you can't add it automatically, you probably need some help from your company's helpdesk.  It would be best to contact them because they may have some settings that are specific to their environment.

  • How do I set up email accounts to send emails while travelling overseas using various wifi locations?

How do I set up email accounts to send and receive
emails while travelling overseas using various wifi locations?

Many ISP provided email accounts limit connections to their outgoing SMTP email servers to only connections coming from their own network. So, if you try to send email when not connected to their network (i.e. when not at home), the connection will be rejected.
If you are using an ISP provided email address, in these circumstances, you'll need to ask your ISP if they provide an "authenticated SMTP connection" so that you can send email via their SMTP server when not actually accessing the internet via their network. You'll need to enter your email account username and password in the Outgoing SMTP server settings and possible configure SSL or outgoing port numbers. Your ISP will be able to advise on this though, as the exact setting vary between ISPs.
By far the best solution though, is to use an email account that is not tied to any particular ISP, such as a GMail account, as these can be used from anywhere, on any network and provide authenticated SMTP as standard.

  • Two email accounts and outlook integration

    Hi, all-
We are using the Outlook Integration in B1 version 2007A p. 42. My Outlook version is 2007.  We are morphing to emailing invoices to customers instead of snail-mailing them.  My problem is I have an accounting user that has 2 email accounts as we run different divisions in B1 all out of the same company.  B1 does not give her the option to choose what email account to send from - it simply sends from her default email account.  This causes a huge problem as she has to manually switch her default email account in Outlook every time she sends for a different division.  This is prone to huge human error issues.
All of our business partners are assigned by division using a division designation stored in a UDF.
Question: is there any way I can configure B1 to somehow send this division designation to Outlook, and can I configure Outlook to read this field, add the proper divisional signature to the email, then send it through the proper account?
    Thanks,
    Shelby

Maybe you should ask on a Microsoft forum rather than one dedicated to the using the iPhone in an enterprise environment.
