Unable to set up email

Hi,
I have just got a new BB curve 9320,
7.1 bundle 1319 (v7.1.0.398, platform 9.49.0.31
I am on a monthly 3 contract.  I wish to set up my private and business email accounts.  When I go into Setup, Email Accounts I am on a screen that says "no accounts activated" and it has a setup screen for activating an Enterprise Account.
I contacted 3 and they told me I need a contract add on for internet & email which I duly purchased, I spent an hour last night on the phone with the 3 tech team trying to set up the email account.  He took me through the process of registering the host routing table and now I have a new symbol on the screen (4 dots)but it still didn't change my email setup options.  He kept saying I should have 2 choices on my screen to either set up my own email account or activate an enterprise account - which I don't.
Eventually my 3 tech guy contacted Blackberry who said that he would need to pay for support which he declined so now I have a new Blackberry Curve 9320 which I can't & 3 tech support can't get to setup my email accounts.
If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you indeed will need to continue to work with 3...they are your service and formal support provider for everything. After all, you pay them for your services...

    Hi. I recently purchased the Blackberry Curve 3G 9300 v5 under Vodafone Australia but I haven't been able to set up email, use BBM or the App World.     Please help. I've gone to the shop where I bought this from but they were not very helpful. I need to know if they didn't set up my account properly so I can ask them to fix it. Thank you!

    I am trying to set up email POP3/IMAP data on my NOKIA C3-00 (as my email provider is different from Gamil, Hot mail, yahoo, etc...) but it seems impossible to access option when using Menu > Email > Others.

    Since a few days I have got the same problem - after having worked with IMAP on the phone since Feb 2011 without any problems. I urgently need an IMAP-Account on my C3-00 in my business - and now I am cut off.
    I am very embarrassed and I hope NOKIA will find a solution soon! In the meantime I changed to a mobile smartphone manufactured by Hewlett Packard ... but I hope for a return to C3-00!

  • Unable to set up email account on iPhone

    Hello everyone,
    Please bear with me because I am new to the iPhone and a recent convert from Blackberry. OK, here is my problem.
    I have 3 email addresses, 2 of them have set up just fine and dandy on my iPhone, the third refuses to get past the bit where you type in the imcoming and outgoing server bits (I've copied the setting exactly from Microsoft Outlook so I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right). It says that 'secure connection failed' and that 'the certificate may not be valid', I've tried clicking on continue anyway but nothing happens, it just tries for ages to verify the account. I'd be grateful if someone could please help.

    A quick Google search tells me that Webmail is an Earthlink system.
    Perhaps one of these POP server settings will work?

    I have set up some new email accounts on my website and i tried to create an account on Outlook, but it's not working. I have tried just about everything.     If it does not help, please try to login to webmail of your site. To access webmail the link would be mail.sitedomain.com where sitedomain would be your site's domain that you have setup in Business Catalyst.

  • N97 Unable to set up email...

    So, I go to set up an account at email.nokia.com... I enter my phone # and the type of phone, N97, then click "Next"...
    The next page tells me "With your mobile phone browser go to http://email.nokia.com."
    I do this, and download the latest version.
    I go through the set up procedure until it gets to User name and User password. I don't know what to put here and everything I can think of, never works.
    It says that if I don't remember these, then go to email.nokia.com... but that only brings me to the page to download it again...
    I just want to know where I find or set up my user name/password for this because every possible user name/email/password I can think of has never worked.
    If it makes any difference, I'm trying to set it up to my hotmail address.

    I'm not sure if this is helpful. 
    1. to use WLAN/GPRS to connect to the internet first
    2. then go to the e-mail setting to set up an e-mail account
    While using my N97 mini, I found that when some softwares need to go online, usually it would automatically 
    activate the connection request(thru AP or Operator).The weird thing was that after managing to connect to an AP or thourgh carriers,there was still a message shown like "'Cannot connect to the internet....Please try again. "
    Yet, if I let N97 mini connect to the internet first and then turn on those internet-related softwares, 
    this kind of problem would disappear. 
     By the way, e-mail function works fine on my phone.

    You should check the settings for the incoming mail server and the outgoing mail server for your Email Adress. You can find this under "Settings" - "Mail, Contacts, Calender" - "Accounts" - klick on your Account Name.

    Account Information
    Name: Your Name
    Adress: Your comcast Email Adress
    Description: the name for the email account / could also be such like "Office"
    Incoming Mail Server
    Host Name: mail.comcast.net
    User Name: your comcast Emial Adress
    Password: Your correct password from the comcast Emial Account
    Outgoing Mail Server
    Host Name: smtp.comcast.net
    User Name: your comcast Emial Adress
    Password: Your correct password from the comcast Emial Account

    I've a SharePoint Ent farm with a MySite Host Site Collection created. Under that, I've got some users having their own MySites.
    Now, the problem is, I'm unable to get the link for editing the user's email address after logging in to the MySite under the credentials of the particular user. 
    Can anybody please suggest. Is this field at all editable?

    I've created a MySite Host Site Collection programmatically, say, http://test.mysitehost.local/.
    Under the same I'm creating user mysites (through SharePoint2013 Object model), say, http://test.mysitehost.local/personal/user1. (for my case "personal" is the managed path). While creating the user mysites, I'm not passing any value for the email
    address of the user. 
    Now, my question is, can I set the email address of the user from MS native portal or through powershell?
    Please note, I'm using SharePoint2013 Server.

    Open Mac Mail.
    From the menu bar click Mail > Preferencees then select the Accounts tab then the Account Information tab then click + to add the account.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

    Since your settings were updated? Do you mean the iOS? Try this.
    Quit the mail app completely. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
    Launch the mail app again.

    I recently dropped my blackberry tour and had it replaced with a new one.  The new one will not let me reset my email.  When I go in to set it up I get a message that I have to "Validate" the account but answering the secret question.  But there is not question that comes up.  I set the email up over a year ago and do not remember what that secret question was at that time.  I have went to the blackberry site and it told me that I had to set the account up using my tour, but I am not having any luck.
