Unable to set up push notifications

Hi
I have a bit of a strange problem.
I have a server, thats just been upgraded to 10.8.2 from 10.7.5, when I try and run the server.app to get it all running I can't get past the set up for push notifications, as it says my password is incorrect (it is correct as it's the same account i'm using to start this discussion) (Yes I am typing the password in correctly)
I also can't login to iTunes or the App Store on said server. But I can login via the web or on another Mac with no issues at all.
This is the error I'm reciving:
Apple ID could not be authenticated
The provided apple ID and password combination is incorrect.
This is what pops up in console when I try to login:
2/19/13 9:18:05.786 AM Server[405]: Error results from MacBuddy server when verifying AppleID: {
    ErrorCode = 182;
    ErrorText = "Your AppleID could not be authenticated.";
Has anyone else come across this problem?
So far I've:
Repaired the keychain
Deleted ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
Deleted ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.storeagent.plist
Deleted ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/*
Deleted ~/Library/Caches/storeagent/Cache.db
Used Onxy to clear caches and rebuild processes
Repaired Disk Permission's
Removed Sophos Anti Virus
But so far no joy.
Thanks Paul

It would apear that after all that, and being able to login to other Mac's/Phones/iPads with the same Apple ID with no issue, resetting the password has let me in. Meh.

  • Setting up Push Notification in Lion Server

    Dear all,
      I am setting up a Lion Server which allows users to enroll their ipad, and want to send out push notification.
    After I got a SSL cert, enroll the ipad.However, I could not see any way to push my notification to application  in my ipad. So here is my question:
      1. Does the APNs set up in the Lion Server Connecting to the gateway.apple.com:2195 or directly connect to the ipad? Because my target environment will be a private network.
      2. How can I configure Lion Server so that it could send out push notification? ( either from apple or direcly push )
    Thanks

    Thanks for your reply,
    However,

  • Facebook For iOS App Push Notifications Not Working

    Been seeing a lot of Threads for this problem but with no proper solution.
    Ever since I updated my Facebook App to v9.0, I havent had any push notifications come to my phone. I've tried uninstalling/deleting the app & other connected apps (Paper, FB messenger) , logging out of the iOS integration, Resetting my phone, etc. but nothing's worked. The App doesn't even ask me if I want to Activate Notifications anymore when I Re-Install it....
    The Phone Notifications are set to show in the lock screen & all, and the Push Notifications in the app are set to push for "All Notifications", but On the Web client I noticed that I had "Some notifications" listed in the settings (and I can't change those on the web, because it tells you to change them in the app) . The only way I know i have Notifications now is through the App Badge,, via Email or through Paper's Notification setup (But i still dont get all of them) ...
    I wonder if it could be a server issue on Faceobook's End. There has to be some way to fix this problem....Help!!!

    Hi C_S1,
    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that you are having some issues with Facebook notifications on your iPhone. It sounds like you have already done some great troubleshooting. I suggest looking at the Troubleshooting notifications section of the following article just to verify your previous steps.
    iOS: Understanding notifications
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3576
    Troubleshooting notifications
    Push notifications require an active Wi-Fi or cellular connection.
    Note: Notifications use Wi-Fi only when a cellular connection is unavailable. Firewalls and proxy servers may affect your ability to receive notifications. For more information, see Unable to use Apple Push Notification service (APNs).
    If you're not receiving notifications for a specific app, try these steps:
    Verify that the app supports notifications.
    After installing an app or restoring a backup to a different iOS device, open the app to begin receiving notifications. If the app requires entering or logging in to an account, you will need to do this before receiving notifications.
    Check Settings > Notification Center to ensure that the app is configured for notifications. If notifications do not appear in the Notification Center, verify that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.
    I hope this helps,
    -Joe

    Below are some terminal checks.What I see marked in BOLD is the computer local name that was set when I was running this as a test server. However that have been change to mydomain.local and it shows mydomain.local in Network Prefs. Server App and Server Admin. In Server Admin under mail push server is list the old name test-mac-mini and I have tried to remove and readd the correct domain.local from the dropdown and the old name continues to pop up.

  • Apps in iTunes disappear; 'Connect to iTunes to Use Push Notifications'

    Right, I synced my iphone up a while back to add a song to my phone.
    Since then, I've had several problems I have yet to resolve:
    1) I keep getting 'Connect to iTunes to Use Push Notifications.'
         I searched through the forums and have yet to find a solution, nothing seems to work. Tried changing sims, rebooting/resyncing, messing with the notifications, etc., etc., etc. Nothing has worked.
    2) I keep getting a notification when I try to do anything from my Macbook to my iphone that says my phone is not synced to my library, would I like to sync to my library now' or something to that effect. It doesn't matter how many times I add it, it will not recognise it.
    3) All the apps I had downloaded that are associated with my iPhone, my iTouch, and my iPad have deleted themselves. I plug in the iPhone, all it recognises is the apps it came with, nothing else.
    The iPad and iTouch are not giving the pop up for the Push Notifications because I have not synced them in a while.
    Phone is a 3gs, running 5.1.1. I would prefer not to upgrade to the 6.0 if possible, I have heard terrible things about the upgrade from friends and would really prefer not to upgrade until all the bugs are fixed. Also, I'm reading other posts online that say they're still having the problem after upgrading to 6.0, and I don't want extra frustrations with the upgrade as well as all this. iPhone is NOT jailbroken, has never been jailbroken.
    Macbook Pro is running 10.6.8.
    iTunes is running the newest version 10.7
    Some of you must have had this problem, any help would be appreciated, that pop-up for Push Notifications is really driving me insane.
    Help!
    thanks

    Did you get any help on this? From what I can see from surfing this site, it's a BUG that no one has offered a solution to. It sometimes happens after a 'reset' and going to ITunes does not offer a way to 'set up push notifications'.

  • "Connect to iTunes to Use Push Notifications" comes almost in every app that I open and it does not notify me when I got message in Whatsapp and Viber. Please help me to overcome it, it is becoming quite annoying!

    Hello vampovec,
    If connected to Wi-Fi, you may need to verify that the following ports are open in order for Push Notifications to work.
    TCP port 5223 (used by devices to communicate to the APNs servers)
    TCP port 2195 (used to send notifications to the APNs)
    TCP port 2196 (used by the APNs feedback service)
    TCP Port 443 (used as a fallback on Wi-fi only, when devices are unable to communicate to APNs on port 5223)
    Unable to use Apple Push Notification service (APNs)

    hi,
    Did you use azure mobile service notification?
    If you use WNS to push Notification (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/jj709908.aspx ), I suggest you could pay attention about 2 points:
    1. Your toast template format (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh761494.aspx ).
    2. Your request headers may be have something wrong, such as Authorization. I suggest you check your Authorization process (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh868245.aspx#pncodes_auth
    If you use azure mobile service notification, I suggest you could try this code sample (http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsapps/Tile-Toast-and-Badge-Push-90ee6ff1
    Hope it helps.

  • AIR 3.4 Push Notifications

    Does anyone have an example of how to set up push notifications natively in AIR 3.4 ?  It is listed as a new feature.

    One issue I ran into right away without thinking. Make sure you declare the styles,notifier and subscribe options as a class level property not scoped within a function call.
    ---> Start Class Body
            private var _preferredNotificationStyles : Vector.<String>;
            private var _rn : RemoteNotifier = new RemoteNotifier();
            private var _subscribeOptions:RemoteNotifierSubscribeOptions;
    ---> Within initialization function call
                if ( RemoteNotifier.supportedNotificationStyles != null )
                    //trace("CNNMobile::supportedNotificationStyles::true");
                    this._preferredNotificationStyles = new Vector.<String>();
                    with(this._preferredNotificationStyles)
                        push(NotificationStyle.ALERT);
                        push(NotificationStyle.SOUND);
                        push(NotificationStyle.BADGE);
                    this._subscribeOptions = new RemoteNotifierSubscribeOptions();
                    this._subscribeOptions.notificationStyles = this._preferredNotificationStyles;
                    this._rn.addEventListener(RemoteNotificationEvent.TOKEN, tokenEventHandler);
                    this._rn.addEventListener(RemoteNotificationEvent.NOTIFICATION, notificationEventHandler);
                    this._rn.subscribe(this._subscribeOptions);
