Unable to setup, contact apple

I had a problem of the home button not working...hence I tried to erase and set up my iphone 4. While activating, I am getting the following message:
Activation request could not be completed. If the problem persists, please contact customer care.
I tried many times, both with and without SIM card.
Can anyone help?

Probably nothing, if you can't get the original owner to help you. You can try calling Apple Support, but my guess is that they'll refuse to help you since you're not the original owner of the iPad. Having a copy of the receipt is probably not going to be official proof since receipts can be faked. But perhaps there will be something Apple an do.
I'd suggest returning the iPad for a refund if you can.

    This is a follow up. Finally, after almost 72 hours, I recieved another email from the original iTunes support representative. According to her, the problem is that one or more of my songs on the account are either not eligible for the upgrade or the file is corrupted and can not be upgraded. In short I cannot use the "Buy All" feature because I will always hit this roadblock. The only way to resolve this, is to upgrade each song individually or select a few songs at a time to upgrade.
    I will have to do this until I get the song or songs that is causing the problem. Once I have identified the song(s), I can chose to repurchase them and get a refund. All songs today are at the DRM free format so repurchased songs will automatically be the upgraded file.
    So I'll now begin the upgrade of the 314 songs. I guess it could be worse.
    Okay, I got an answer and an offer of a refund, but this answer certainly could have been provided three days ago. Am I being unreasonable?

    The activation server is gone for AA7, but not AA8 as understand it. You will need to do the updates for AA8 to be effective on Win7. It is questionable that it will run on WIn8 (I have no clue for a MAC).
    Your conversation is an example of how many of us got here in the first place. It is fantastic that you were able to hold on and get the problem resolved. Not exactly sure of the solution, but there does seem to be light at the end of the tunnel for folks. Normally, with activation problems like yours, we recommend calling Adobe Support for them to reset the activations. I was just wanting to get a heads up about AA8 on the newer systems. Folks have been successrul on Win7 with the updates, but the results for Win8 are still not known in general. There have been some suggestions, but nothing more. As long as it works for you that is great. For our info, what OS are you running?

    Since the release of Mavericks, syncing contacts with a Mac using iTunes is no longer supported. The currently supported method is to use iCloud.  http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/

  • I can't seem to get support for my iphone, i need to contact apple because it isn't working at all , and it says it cannot process my request and to try again later, what can I do?

    My Iphone 4 isn't working, It got wet and now I have it in a bag of rice. I heard that I should not try to turn it on or mess with the power button, so I haven't. It makes sounds when I get a text message but the screen is blank., I have tried to contact apple support online and it tries to send my iphone a message, but because it doesnt work, I can't receive it, so if I decline the "health check" then it says that it's "unable to complete my request at this time. Please try again in a few minutes or start over now."   I have tried this several times and it's still not letting get any help. I don't know what to do. Someone please help. How did you get help with your phone when it got messed up or damaged?

    A wet phone is out of warranty. This is considered user damage. Even if you were able to get it to start now, the chances of it working for long are slim. I suggest going to Apple and see about an OOW replacement. One for the iPhone 4 is only $149USD and it would come with a short warranty. It is a refurbished device and you would not be worried about encountering additional problems.

    Hello community members, my iPhone has been stolen and I tried to contact police, they are asking for IMEI number of the phone. Unfortunately I could not read the IMEI number on the box due to moisture wiped out most of the number on it. I sacanned it in and enhanced, I'm still unable to read out the number. Is there any other method so that I can contact Apple to get IMEI number ? since the phone was shyncronized several times in apple store / iCloud.

    If you backed up your iPhone in iTunes on your computer -
    Open iTunes - Edit - Preferences - Devices - See Device Backups in the Window.
    Hover mouse/curser on any backup. Read IMEI and Serial no. your of iPhone.

    Put in a request for another verification e-mail to be sent to you.
    Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
    Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you.

    You'd selected the correct country for you and your iTunes account ? The form has validation to check that the phone number is valid for the country that you select.

    I forgot my secret questions, I tried to use online support but the only solution is to contact apple by phone, and i'm unable to do so because i'm from israel, and the system doesn't appect my phone number (i guess there is no phone support here), and since i do not have a rescue mail, reseting my security questions seems like mission impossible, even though i have any other information about my account (including visa card number). what can i do?

    I contacted my carrier which is swisscom of switzerland and they told me only to restore my iphone with a non swisscom card but I didnt get my unlock, now im stuck in the setup as a new iphone, I contacted them again gave them my imei and they responded to me try to contact apple , idk what to do now.     1). What do expect to accomplish by posting your IMEI here? There is no one from Apple on this forum and Apple does not monitor it. Apple does not unlock phones; the carrier does.
    2). As you have stated that your phone is unlocked as evidenced by the message on iTunes, you can be pretty sure it is, unless as diesel vdub has stated it was hacked/jaibroken in the past or the computer used to sync/unlock the phone was used with another previously hacked/jailbroken phone.
    3). Since we can assume you phone is unlocked, then the problem must be with your SIM. Either:
    a). It is damaged
    b). It has not been activated by the carrier
    c). It is from a carrier that does not support the iPhone.
    On another post, I asked what carrier you are now attempting to use and you have not answered the question.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    You might try the following steps:
    Restart the device by holding down the on/off button until the power down slider appears.
    Try entering your password in another location (i.e. when you are using a different wifi network)
    Reset all settings (settings > general > reset), this resets some of your settings to factory default. It’s not a complete removal of settings. It removes all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do No Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy. It does not remove any of your data.
    If this doesn’t help your best option may be to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
