I am unable to share my pictures via Instagram and BBM.

The Instagram app gives you options to take a picture using the camera and sharing but if you take a picture simply through the camera app you do not have options to share to Instagram. I would assume that BlackBerry Messenger is the same way. You can go to Settings and then scroll down to each of the apps and make sure that they have access to the camera. You can see the difference of having access to the previously taken photos by looking at the Settings for Facebook. You see that you have options to access the camera and an option to access Photos.

How to open 'share picture via' popup menu on android?

Hi there.
I made a little photo painting app on android where you can open (via the native file opener with filerefence.browse() it works beautifully) and save (directly to CameraRoll with addBitmapData also works perfectly) an image. Now i would like to share the saved image.
I would like to use the native android 'share picture via' popup. I found on a forum the native code for it ( http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3553017/android-share-via-dialog ).
Since we cannot execute native code for mobiles as i can read from the flash doc, is there a way to get this working at all?

I too would like to know if this is possible. I use it all the time with native apps to send files to my dropbox. If it was up to me, this would be a MUST HAVE feature.

I am unable to send pictures via messaging. Whenevr i open messaging and try to send a pic my camera is not active i am unable to click on it.

MMS is a carrier feature, so contact your cell phone provider.

Q10 - can't share pictures via Whatsapp!

Somehow I can't share pictures via Whatsapp (locations for example work fine)!
When I try, the screen goes black and I can only hit the cancel button... Just reinstalled Whatsapp from scratch to no success... very frustrating!
Any hints or similar experiences??

Solution found! You have to give the Whatsapp-App access to your pictures, music, etc.
Now it finally works!

I'm unable to share ppt via lync2010, it prompted "pptx can't be converted for presentation because PowerPoint is not installed" But I do have PowerPoint included with Office 2010 installed.

Please check the integrity of the PowerPoint presentation
Verify that the PowerPoint presentation that you want to upload isn't open anywhere else on the system.
Verify that the PowerPoint presentation isn't protected by Information Rights Management (IRM).
Verify that there are no open dialog boxes in PowerPoint. (For example, a dialog box appears when you click File and then click Open.)

sure pretty simple. make a backup of your current settings

then restore device from old backup you need pics off of
then import pics to computer

you may need to save pics to camera roll first
then restore the new backup and sync pics back to phone via itunes

Lumia 620: Unable to send pictures via 'Facebook C...

I am unable to send pictures via facebook chat. In the 'attach' option, it does show 'photo, video, location, etc..' but I can select only the 'location' component. I was wondering if there was some settings that should be changed or that the mobile itself does not allow such activities. Please advise.

Yes, I am using the official FB app from Microsoft. I tried the FB Beta, but I still can't send pictures. Take a look at the screenshot. I can only choose 'location'

Unable to share, export or drag and drop

iPhoto Application (problems just started)
1)Can't drag and drop from library to desk top
2)Unable to share or export
3)If library photo is double clicked I get a black frame with a "caution" symbol with ! point in center
4)In the picture menu bar there are framed pictures as well as black frames with a dashed white square symbol in center
What has or is happening? Is there any way to correct problem?
Had a recent diagnosis done on IMac. Was told failing power supply and failing hard drive. Have replaced the power supply.
Is above indication of failing hard drive?

Unlikely.
This is a problem in the LIbrary and not the application. So reinstalling is unlikely to have any effect.
Try rebuild the Library.
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Unable to share pictures with Photo Booth Facebook option not working.

So when I try to share pictures by clicking on the Facebook option on Photo Booth, nothing happens. I tried every other option and they all work except for the Facebook one.
I tried to quit every other application and just leave Photo Booth opened, same result.
I deleted the plist file for Facebook...

It appears LR is not getting access to the Drive/Folder where the original file is located. (/volumes/Media Disk/Pictures....)? were the original files copied to a hard drive?

Aperture - Unable to share photos, by email and or Facebook

When trying to share a photo/s using Aperture 3.4.1 on a MacBook Air version OSX 10.8.2
1. by email, nothing happens - despite having set Microsoft Outlook and tried different sizes of jpg photos
2. by trying to send to Facebook, after trying to login, the message unknown error occurred Please try again later. Login details are correct as I can login to Facebook separately.
3. I can log into Flickr BUT I do not want to use flickr
Does anyone know what maybe going wrong here ?

Is your Outlook version compatible with Mountain Lion? To be used from other Applications as Mailer it nneds to sandboxed, see this thread.

I do not think, there is a version of Outlook right now, that can be used to mail from Aperture. Use "Mail.app" instead.
I do not know, what may be wrong with Facebook upload. The update to 3.4.1 should have fixed the Facebook access problems.

Unable to 'Share' photos via email

Selecting on a photo to share and using the Share icon to send the selected photo(s) via email no longer works. The prefernce setting is correct -using MS Outlook '11 as my default mail app. It launches Outlook but fails to do anything after that. It has worked seemlessly up until I applied the 10.7.5 update. I've confirmed this issue on two seperate computers. Worked before the 10.7.5 update and not after. iPhoto is up to date v9.4.1.
The system log is reporting under sandboxd (process?):
iPhoto(192) deny appleevent-send com.apple.finder
iPhoto(192) deny appleevent-send com.microsoft.outlook
Any suggestions on where to look or a preference to delete perhaps? Thank you.

Check your Outlook version, if it is sandboxed and compliant with the new Mac OS X security features. See this thread, i.e. the post by Rishi Garrod:

This seems to be a problem with the sandboxing in Mt. Lion. I do not know of any work-around so far, sorry, until a compatible Outlook version will be available.

Is there a possibilty to import ONLY the RAW pictures via Organizer and let the jpeg's on the camera?

When I import the pictures from the camera (Olympus OMD Em-1): can I only import the RAW-pictures into the organizer?

Alexandra,
The downloader module of Elements does not provide an option to filter imported files by their type (jpg or raw). You can only filter videos from still photos. I agree that would be a welcome addition!
What you can do instead:
- use your OS (explorer / finder) to import the files to your computer via your card reader : you can order your files to import by extension (jpg, CR2, NEF...) and select the raw files. Then use the 'Import' feature of Elements to import from 'Files and Folders' (that 'registers' the files in the catalog).
- Or you can use the standard Element download and delete the jpegs afterwards. Not very elegant, but that works.
- Or you can use the 'Import' feature of Elements and choose from 'Files and folders' instead of From camera or card reader, then browse to the card reader. The card reader will be considered as a separate drive. You can select only raws in the import dialog by setting the file order to file extension (CR2, NEF...) instead of file name. You select the first item, then Shift Click on the last one. Only raws are selected. Now, be careful to have the checkbox to 'copy' the files ticked. Otherwise, Elements would consider your pictures to be on a removeable drive. The picture files will be copied on your computer in a special 'photo from removable drives' subfolder.

I don't understand what is going on with my imessage. I sent a picture on my iphone and ipad mini earlier in the afternoon. Now here it is hours later and I can't send a picture on either device. What the heck is going on and why can I only send texts. I had to log off wifi on my phone just to send a freaking photo. HELP!

I think that explains it.
Either you're on a different WiFi setup or if you're on the same one, it has lost some of the quality (speed and/or clarity) it had earlier in the day.
Something about your WiFi setup is now different.

PSE8: Share Pictures via email (attachment) Outlook 2010

Hi,
since I have updated to Office 2010 (Release) 64bit on Windows 7, PSE8 tells me, that there is no default mail client configured. That isn´t correct. PSE is configured to use Outlook.
Is there a Update to fix that incompatibility?

I've recently ubgraded from PSE6 to 8, run on Windows 7 and using Windows Live Mail and have the same problem.
I tried using this fix but it had no impact whatsoever.
As I could send out photos last week with PSE 6 with Windows 7, I am assumng the problem is with Adobe and not Windows.
Setting the email client, in preferences, as Adobe and the programme freezes. Set it as Windows Mail and the programme crashes.
Pulling my hair out!!!
