Hi, we just attempted to buy a Macbook Air that was on sale and ran into the issue of the store refusing to accept both coupons. I understand these coupons are supposed to be an exception. Is it possible for someone from corporate to call and talk to the manager? And if so, can I receive the name of the person so I can speak to them directly when I go back? Thank you very much.

From my understanding, you should be able to use both our College Student Deal and Mover coupons towards the purchase of a single item as long as it meets the terms and conditions of both coupons and you aren’t requesting a price match in conjunction with them. I’m sorry to hear our La Jolla store wasn’t quite up to speed regarding these coupons though, and this caused you to leave the store empty-handed.
In an effort to clear up any confusion with this information, I have already reached out to the leadership at our La Jolla store to supply them with the necessary details around this process. From here, I recommend heading back to that location to purchase the computer. I just got off the phone with a representative and they said only one coupon can be used in a purchase. I told them that on the bestbuy forums, corporate allows both coupons to be used. I then asked to speak to a manager but she said no. I felt they were rude and unwilling to help.

While most of our coupons aren’t able to be combined with one another, the stores have received communication that this is possible with these two coupons specifically. It is important that you bring both of your coupons in and have gone through the activation process for your Movers Coupon prior to your visit.

Movers Coupon and PS4

Today I tried to use the Movers coupon to purchase a PS4 after the associate scanned the coupon nothing applied. He was unaware of the coupon and I blame myself for not bringing in a manager but I was already in a hurry. I still went through with the purchase is there any reason why the coupon did not work? Also is there a chance that if it is supposed to work that I can go in and repurchase this product? Losing out on $40 is never fun. Especially with it not having any exclusions printed on the coupon for purchasing the PS4.

The Movers Coupon is a great way to save 10% off of a single item, especially if their is an item you've had your eye on. I'm glad to hear you picked up the PlayStation 4 from our Ann Arbor, MI store. It is odd that the Movers Coupon wouldn't have applied, as the PlayStation 4 is not Unilateral Minimum Resale Price (UMRP), and to my knowledge wouldn't fall into any other exclusions. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused you.

Movers coupon student discount

Dear Brendan BBY;
Today 4/24/2015 we bougth two Apple MBAs 13.3'' for $ 796 (after applying College Student Coupon + tax) .But sales representative didnt apply our Movers Coupons in MA/Cambridge store-537.
Tomorrow I will return the products and by (I hope your help I will try to make them apply two coupons together again. Actually to eliminate tax I will drive 50 miles to New Hampshire Manchester 1500 S Willow St Manchester, NH 03103 (tax free place) return item over there.
My request is (if possible)
i)- Can I return my two MBA's to the store in New Hampshire Manchester 1500 S Willow St Manchester, NH 03103 for full refund and buy them again with two coupons applied without tax. Is it possible that you make them aware of this situation. Because I dont want to go without being sure.

The use of these coupons has been very popular toward the purchase of MacBooks, but it appears to have caused some confusion as well. I am sorry you were unable to use both of these coupons at the time of purchase, and I would be glad to shed some light on this for you.
Per the terms printed on the College Student Deals coupon, “Coupon cannot be replaced if it is lost, stolen or if you cancel or return your order… Limit 1 offer per coupon, per household.” In most cases you are allowed to return your store purchase at any location. However, if returned, your coupon will not work again and we would be unable to replace it for you. If you could send me your email address used to register for the College Student Deals program, and the 4-part Customer Service Pin located toward the bottom of your purchase receipt(s), I can look into this for you more.

Why I can't use movers coupon on Apple macbook.

I bought an macbook pro retina display at the New Hampshire because there is no sales tax.
and I came back home Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
2 days after i came back to my home, i found an promotion event about e-gift cards.
so I exchange, I mean change payment methods using e-gift cards and movers coupon in-store, Oshkosh.
but I found new sales at Bestbuy..
when i bought macbook first, the price is $65 off.
now the prices is $150 off.
So, I went to best-buy one more time to get price match.
but the manager says I can't get price match because movers coupon can't use for sales product and mac item, and also I can't use both movers coupon and student discout coupon.
I read many articles about using both movers coupon and student discout coupon, and I have never read movers coupon can't use sales item and mac item.
I am not good at English, but I believe you can understand what I mean.
Let me know I can get price matching and using both coupons.

If BestBuy.com system can only apply one promo code, then explain why the default promo code slots on the app is two with options to enter additional promo codes, if needed?

I'm sorry to hear you may have encountered trouble when using both your College Student Deals and Movers coupon on an item. Aside from the system limitations, please know that the terms of the College Student Deal coupon currently prevents the coupon from being combined with other offers.
It certainly would seem odd to have multiple entry points for offer codes if the order was limited to one offer per order. To clarify, it would be one offer per item that this limitation refers to. If you have multiple items that each have individual offer codes, you should be able to utilize the offer codes for each respective item in one order. I went to the Bestbuy local store last night and ask them can I use both coupons in the same purchase. They refused that but when I'm trying to search in Bestbuy forum. Movers coupon Stacked with edu student coupon on a price matched item

Earlier today I went into store 543 in fort Lauderdale. I was attempting to buy a Macbook Air, model MD760LL, which is carried online as well as in various stores. I was attempting to do the following: Price match the laptop with B&H photo-video and then use both the movers coupon and the edu coupon. I first spoke to the “manager of the laptop dept,” named Nicolas, who was only able to price match and use the movers coupon. He then called over a gentleman named Josh, whose name tag read, “Bestbuy mobile manager.” Josh then came up with the following excuses: 1) you cannot combine the movers and the edu coupon. After showing him the previous posts from this site, he replied, “you cant believe everything you read online.” After realizing that he was incorrect he moved on to the next excuse. 2) This is a discontinued product so you cant use the edu coupon. While this argument had some merit to it, he let the wind out of those sails very quickly when he changed his stance to the following: “look, were not going to give you that deal, so you can pick one; either, we will stack the coupons OR we will price match, but we will NOT do both.” I once again explained the forums and the price match policy, to which he replied, “you will not be getting that deal in this store.” Other than being slightly abrasive he was professional and courteous. That said, please advise if he is correct, or if I may in fact price match and stack the coupons on the MD760LL Macbook Air.

Using a Movers Coupon and College Student Deals coupon on the same product, providing it qualifies for both, should be a simple process. When adding a price match request into the transaction, things are more complicated.
Per our Price Match Guarantee, coupons may not be used in conjunction with a price match request. Furthermore, the College Student Deals coupons may not be used on clearance items, which the MacBook Air you desired to purchase appears to be. Given this information, you should have been allowed to either use the Movers Coupon or receive a price match.
With that said, unfortunately I can’t speak as to why you were offered to stack the coupons, and I apologize if you were provided any conflicting or incorrect information while you were attempting to sort this request out at the store. Using the information you registered with the forum, I don’t see a receipt under your purchase history for a MacBook Air, so it doesn’t seem you went through with this purchase. I would encourage you to return to the store if you desire to use the Movers Coupon or receive the price match.

Stacking Movers Coupon (10% off) with Student Deal on 48in Insignia 1080p TV

I was just at the Best Buy store in Novi, Michigan (Store #417) and was told that these two deals cannot stack on the same item. From what my friends have told me (and from what is posted on this forum) it seems as though I may have been misinformed. My question is simply if the Student Deal and the Movers Coupon can be used together, and what I could do to insure that I get the right price on my next visit to the store. I was disappointed to read that you may have been given incorrect information about whether these two offers can be used together. It is ever our goal to provide correct information in reply to the queries of our customers. I regret that the associates at the Novi store didn't live up to that expectation.
Managers at our stores have received instructions for the proper processing of coupons: the coupons you present should be scanned at checkout. Our point of sale system has the intelligence to determine if the products being purchased qualify for the offers. If the purchase is ineligible, the coupon will not be applied. Were you attempting to make a purchase during your visit, or just seeking information? Did you speak to a manager at the Novi store?

Movers coupon and Student discount coupon on MacBook Air

I had been to your store to purchase MacBook Air 13.3 available on discount price of $799. I was denied the usage of both the 10% movers coupon and 50$ students discount on this deal at the same. Store# 310 in Aurora, IL.
I had read other posts on your forum and it was clearly mentioned I could use both the coupons. I absolutely feel ridiculed by this inconsistency of what is mentioned on your forums vs what is told in Your store

I'm sorry to hear that the Aurora, IL store may not have been aware of the ability to combine these coupons.

Why can't I use a Movers Coupon on a MacBook

I tried to buy a MacBook Pro at the Best Buy store in DeerPark (IL) but was told by a store associate that I could not use my movers coupon as the MacBook was already on sale. There is no mention of this exclusion in the coupon or BestBuy.com.
I have seen people successfully stack a student discount and the movers coupon on MacBooks that were already on sale, but my local store says it can't be done.
Can a Moderator here clarify the policy? As an Elie Plus member I would prefer to spend my money at Beat Buy, especially if I can use these coupons to offset the sales tax and get my final cost to what I would spend on Amazon without these hassles.

I’m sorry if this associate gave you incorrect information regarding our Movers Coupons. Movers Coupons can be used towards the purchase of a MacBook Pro that is on sale. You state this store is our store in DeerPark, IL, but I don’t see a store located in a town named DeerPark. Could the location of this Best Buy be in a different city?

I have the exact same issue with the South Hills store located at 5000 Alicia Drive, Bethel Park, PA 15201. B&H photo is currently setting the iPad Air 2 64GB for $549.99. I tried to price match to B&H and use my 10% off movers coupon, but was told that the coupon would not apply because iPads are UMRP products. It appears from this thread that iPads are NOT UMRP products, and the coupon should apply. Would you please clairfy? I was transferred to three different people when I called the 800 number and ultimatley hung-up on, and calling the store wasnt' helpful either.

I’m all for getting the best price possible for my purchases, and I’m constantly looking for ways to save where I can. Using coupons is just one of the many ways to do that, but I’m disappointed to hear we failed to properly explain why your request to use your Mover’s coupon was denied. I’m sorry for any frustration you may have endured while trying to resolve this on your own.
While you are correct in mentioning JD-BBY’s previous post in that an iPad Air 2 is not a UMRP item, we’d be unable to apply your mover’s coupon towards its purchase if you are requesting a price match. Not only does our Price Match Guarantee exclude clearance items (whether it's listed as clearance with us or a competitor), but it also states coupons cannot be used in conjunction with a price match request. This could explain why our store associates were unable to honor your request.

Movers Coupon Denied on 11/26 for Macbook Pro

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving!
I was hoping I could get some help and/or clarification on my shopping experience tonight.
I went to store# 849 this evening to purchase this 15" Macbook Pro that is on sale for $1699, at the register I tried to use my 10% off movers coupon that I received from the USPS and the system wouldn't take the coupon, the assistant manager then came over to try to assist and same problem, he then explained that the system is not able to accept the coupon because the item is considered to be a UMRP item and on top of that it's on sale. The store manager then came over and confirmed the same thing that the movers coupons cannot be used on Apple computers, laptops, iphones, etc.
Both the assistant manager and store manager then looked over the T&C's as well as restrictions for the coupon and noticed nothing that stated that the coupon could not be used on this item and came to the conclusion that the coupon most likely won't stack because the item is on sale for $300 under Apple's MSRP.
Before I went into the store to try to purchase the Macbook, I read the T&C's for the coupon on Best Buy's site and saw that I shouldn't have this issue and I also read on this forum that the Macbook should be allowed for purchase with the coupon and didn't expect to walk out of the store empty handed.
Since the coupon could not be applied, I did not purchase the item however I would still like to purchase this item at it's current sale price as well as use my 10% coupon however my new issue is, I'm told by the store that the item will be off sale for $1699 on Friday and my coupon is only good from 10/1/14-11/26/14 and then 12/2/14-2/28/14. If I should've been able to use this coupon, then I just lost a great opportunity to purchase this item at a great price. I would also like to know if I'm able to use this coupon on an open box Macbook Pro that is at another store, this could be a possible alternative to not getting this item this evening.
Can someone from Best Buy please offer some clarification on this issue and also advise what kind of resolution can be made? I am an elite member and this item would've kept my elite status into next year but I'm fine with taking my business elsewhere if needed.

I absolutely apologize for the lateness of my reply, we are extremely backlogged from the holiday and Black Friday and we’re trying to catch up.
Our mover’s coupons can offer a great opportunity to our customers to get some great savings on their purchase. I am sorry to hear that you were not able to take advantage of the coupon on Thanksgiving with this particular MacBook Pro.
As the coupon called out, it was not valid from 11/27-12/1, which would mean that it could not be used on the MacBook that evening. Regrettably, the sale price on that item has since ended, so we would not be able to offer that sale price along with the coupon. Otherwise, you should still be able to use it with the MacBook if you would like to purchase it at this time.
