Unable to start opmn- ONS

Question

Hi Experts,
The customer asked me to create Auto start/stop scripts for Application server. I tested my scripts manually for both Infrastructure & Middle Tier.
On automating them my opmn process starts to fail and i found the below error in ons.log file.

08/02/23 20:20:36 [4] Connection 1,10.123.109.20,6200 connect (Connection refused)
08/02/23 20:22:35 [4] Connection 1,10.123.109.20,6200 connect (Connection refused)
08/02/23 20:24:34 [4] Connection 1,10.123.109.20,6200 connect (Connection refused)
08/02/23 20:26:33 [4] Connection 1,10.123.109.20,6200 connect (Connection refused)
08/02/23 20:28:32 [4] Connection 1,10.123.109.20,6200 connect (Connection refused)
Any help/suggestions are very much appreciated in resolving the above issue.

Hi,
I believe you have already got the answers. Running as Oracle works and running from script it does not work.
So problem lies how the script is run. Ensure to have 'sudo' to oracle from the script and execute and test it.
Secondly the error in ONS does not necessarily relate to the starting problem.

The above error happens when the components not able to communicate to notication server.
This problem occurs if there is conflict in tcp port:6200
+ Check the ons.conf file to verify if the port is correct.
+ If you have database installed, ensure that it is not using the same ons port. If so, change to some different port.
+ Restart the opmn components.
