Unable to start services of the secondary server of the clusteredenvironmet
Hi
We had clustered two servers (OBI) and we are able to start the services of the primary server but unable to start the services of the secondary server. Please help with a solution for this issue.

1) Your cluster setup , how many managed nodes you use?
2) Where does the AdminServer and nodes exists , i mean about machines - same or different ?
3) What's the error you're seeing while starting ?

Hello,
I am having a problem with HTTP DAV access of IFS. This is a new install of IFS on a SuSe 7.2 Linux box.
When starting Apache and JServ, the jserv.log shows an error complaining that the IfsDefaultService cannot be started, followed by other errors.
According the OEM Console, I have successfully started the IFS Domain, and related nodes/services.
I have enabled IFS_DAV_DEBUG but that did not provide the answers.
Can someone help me interpret the error below?

Several points:
- Look at the appendix of the 1.1 Developer's Guide for details on this error message. http://technet.oracle.com/docs/products/ifs/doc_library/ifs_1_1/Developers%20Guide/Errormessages.html#1011023
- In the appendix of the 1.1 Developer's Guide, it indicates "...can also occur if the DatabaseUrl setting in the service properties file is invalid."
- I think the DatabaseUrl is found in the $ORACLE_HOME/ifs1.1/settings/oracle/ifs/server/properties/HttpServer.properties file.
- Could it be that you didn't re-run IfsConfig after changing something about your connection? I believe IfsConfig sets the DatabaseUrl for you.

In your IAS-installation you will find a folder named "9ifs/settings". This folder should be in your classpath, if you are running locally.
If you are running through the IAS, I believe the cause of your trouble is a partly failed IAS-installation. -

Backup the 9ifs/cl/ifsclasspath.cl file.
In the backup files, replace "$" with "set " in the file 9ifs/cl/ifsclasspath.cl and copy and paste the output into your command prompt.
Between the ifsenv.bat and the cl file, most of your environment variables (including IFS_CLASSPATH) will be set.
Then type the following line:
set CLASSPATH=%IFS_CLASSPATH%;%CLASSPATH%
This will set your classpath correctly and you should not get that error. -

thanks in advanceThe Service is the LibraryService that you're going to use to connect to Oracle 9iFS. Please read the Session and Transaction Management
chapter in the Oracle 9iFS Developer's Reference for more information on services and sessions.
The name of the Service corresponds to a properties file that stores configuration for the LibraryService. You should find an IfsDefault.properties
file in $ORACLE_HOME/9ifs/settings/oracle/ifs/server/properties directory.
To trouble shoot this:
1) first verify that your connection arguments are valid by using them to launch ifssvrmgr. This utility is no longer used to
manage servers in Oracle 9iFS, but you can still use it to validate your arguments. If they are valid....
2) Check the IFS.SERVER.JDBC.DatabaseUrl parameter and make sure it references a
valid SQL*Net address. Double check the SQL*Net connection by using it to connect to the ifssys schema via SQL*Plus.
3) Find out where the SimpleConnection program is failing by inserting print line commands.

I have installed a new server for WSUS on Server 2k8, This is a stand alone server on Internet No client system is connected on this server as I have to copy these updates to my LAN which never connects to internet. (Previously I was using server 2k3. for
online & server 2008 on my LAN , now I have changed the server for Online)
Wsus has finished the synchronization & downloaded updates of around 67GB & its downloading more updates. The server shows me some updates are waiting to approved. but when I click the link for those updates I get following error message.

First, please check if the RAM is exhausted. When there is not enough RAM, this issue may occurs.
Please try to run iisreset on the WSUS server, then try to reconnect.
Also, please try to run the server cleanup wizard to remove the unused update.

Replication overwrites the AAA servers table in the secondary server
Hi,
I've configured two ACS servers with replication but i noticed that when the replication takes place it overwrites the AAA servers table configured in the network configuration of the secondary server and that makes the next replication to fail because the two servers have the same configuration of AAA servers, if i uncheck the "Network Configuration Device tables" and the "Network Access Profiles" from the "Database Replication Setup" wich includes the AAA servers table I also missed the replication of the new network devices that are added in the master server.
Do you know how can i exclude only the AAA servers table from the replication??
Other thing is that I configured the Outbound replication as "Automatically triggered cascade", I'm not sure if this means that at the exactly moment that there is a change on the primary server it will replicate it to the secondary???? because if that is the case it is not doing it.

I now have another situation and i was wondering if you can help me, i made some changes in the AAA servers trying to solve this situation but i wasn't able to, so i leave again the servers in the same way that they were configured by the time the replication was working but now it is not, in the master server i get this message:
ERROR ACS 'LACSLVBCDVAS007' has denied replication request
and in the second server i get this:
ERROR Inbound database replication from ACS 'lacslvbcpvas011' denied - shared secret mismatch
I've checked the same key configured for both and are the same, i've deleted the AAA servers and the configure them again, restart the services but the problem remains, dou you have any idea what this could be??

but when i try to login to informatica and trying to start the repository services i am getting below error

Oracle not working in the Secondary Server

I have two servers with Linux OS clustering. 2 months back we detach the secondry server from the clustering for some urgent. Later we plug the server to the Clustering and check the oracle connectivity etc. But a problem has occured that in secondry server boots and oracle up for 1 min and then stop.. For oracle a virtual IP keeps. That one minute we can ping this IP from client. But after this oracle not available. From the First server oracle working fine... From where I can check? . Please give a step by step procedure for checking.

I am not much expert in linux. check the permissions on your OCR disks means the storage(the db files resides) permissions? Here the secodry server's hardisk remove and the server use for some urgent needs. later plug the hard disks and starting the probem. This leads to permission problem?
logs for crs? please explain ? I check the /var/log/messages there some lines but no hint ...please help? -
Mail: The POP server rejected the password for user
I am completely unable to use Mail.
I keep getting the "The POP server rejected the password for user" on two of my accounts.
The password has not changed and I have entered it correctly.
The accounts just will not go online.
This started yesterday when an old machine accidentally fired up mail and tried to connect using the same user details. Since then, my MacBook Pro is not able to connect to my mail.
My iPad and my iPhone can. There is no problem at the server or the ISP. I have also run the Keychain repair utility.
Please can you advise how I should fix it? Plist? Define the accounts again?

ThanksSorry I can't be of help, I know of others with this problem. In my case I have two accounts that don't work in Mail whilst the other accounts do. I suspect it may be a bug as I've been looking for a solution for sometime. My current solution is to collect the mail on those accounts with an XP netbook which is probably not very helpful!
I have also tried the Keychain repair and at least for a short while it looked as if it had fixed it.
Any ideas anybody before I go through the hassle of reinstalling everything?
