  • Unable to start Oracle Application Server processes

    I am having the same problem that a number of people have
    mentioned concerning ORA-20214 Unable to start OAS processes ...
    The problem seems related to Windows NT 4.0 SP4. One developer
    mentioned a specific Oracle Bug #768386 that had something to do
    with the yt40.dll. Does anyone know how I can get this patch?
    Has anyone gotten OAS to work on SP4 without this patch? Thanks
    for any assistance you can provide.

    Dear James, Anirudh,
    Right now I have installed this two syned version.
    Oracle Application Server SOA suite 10.1.3.1.0
    JDev 10.1.3.1.0
    Problem is, I have deployed complete Application server, But I am receiving the following errors.
    *No OC4J process up for AS instance identified by domain:
    opmn-orabpel+oc4j-anne-8888-default*
    1. Actually i gave instance name as --> orabpel
    username as --> oc4jadmin
    password --> welcome1
    But when I trying to connect server with mentioned instance name, I am not able to connect. Is there any specification to set instance name in SOA suite 10.1.3.1.0. Also please suggest how to start my Application server.
    2. My doubt is while creating Application server connection from JDEV what we have to select
    1. Standalone OC4J 10g 10.1.3
    2. Oracle Application Server 10g 10.1.3
    3. From the beginning itself my application server status was down. I cant able to understand the under laying issues.
    Please suggest me..
    Thanks,
    Rajesh

  • Unable to start Oracle Application Testing Suite Application service

    Hi ,
    I have installed OATS 9.1 successfully on my machine , but there is some problem in starting Oracle Application Testing Suite Application Service .
    I am not able to access Oracle Test Manager , when i start the service manually it gives "Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" error message .
    Is there any explicit setting required after installation to start the service .
    Please help me to get out of this problem .
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
    Is the Oracle XE service running? Did the database install go OK? Is there anything in the log files in c:\oracleats\logs to give us a hint - check out wls_oats.log and others in this location.

  • Unable to start Tomcat using runtime class in windows 98

    hi,
    I am using a runtime class which calls a batch file, that calls statup.bat for starting tomcat.
    This works perfectly in windows NT,2k. But on win 98, the tomcat window opens and closes within no sometime.
    In my class i call the first batch file starter.bat using
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("%COMSPEC% /c start e:/starter.bat");
    (I tried with command.com also...)
    Starter.bat has the line
    call E:\jakarta-tomcat4.1\bin\startup.bat.
    Is there anyother way to start the tomcat process and keep it running on windows 98. Anyone with anyclues pls help.
    Thanks in advance.

    This is the Runtime class i am using... Sometimes tomcat gets closed and sometimes just hangs... (putting it in for better understanding..)
    public class Starter {
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              String com = "%COMSPEC% /c start
    C:\\PACS\\SFAApp\\tomcat\\startup.bat";
                   try     {
                        Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
                        Process pr = rt.exec (com);//Starting tomcat
                        try
                             pr.waitFor();
                        catch (Exception e)
                             e.printStackTrace();
                   catch (IOException ie) {
                        System.out.println("IOException caught" + ie);
                        ie.printStackTrace();

  • Unable to start tomcat from Windows 98

    I just downloaded and installed tomcat on my Windows 98 machine. But when I click on start Tomcat, a DOS window opens and closes imeediately - the server does not seem to have started. I tried pasting this in a new DOS Window:
    D:\jdk1.2.2\bin\java.exe -jar -Duser.dir="D:\Tomcat" "D:\Tomcat\bin\bootstrap.jar" start
    But then I get the following error:
    Bootstrap: Class loader creation threw exception
    java.lang.IllegalMonitorStateException: current thread not owner
    I have jdk 1.2.2 installed on my machine and JAVA_HOME pointing to this. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?
    Thanks in Advance
    Jay

    It's not TOMCAT_HOME, it's CATALINA_HOME
    Add
    set CATALINA_HOME=full_path_to_tomcat_installation
    to AUTOEXEC.bat, or type it at command line before typing startup in TOMCAT_HOME/bin (however if you do this you will lose this variable when you close the command line). Putting it in autoexec is best solution. Reboot.
    Probably a good idea to add
    set JAVA_HOME=full_path_to_java_installation
    in autoexec.bat as well.

    When reporting an error, it is usually essential to post exact product version numbers of VirtualBox, including the exact host and guest OS version involved.
    Perhaps the following, which I found in Google applies:

    change the port number to 9900.
    inorder to change,u have one file called server.xml.u have to change the port number in that file
    In tomcat folder->conf->server.xml
    Edit server.xml. Scroll till u get a tag <Connector port ="8080">;

  • "Unable to start the application - The Java Virtual Machine cannot be loade

    I have been trying to instal an old scanner using its CD, and during the process, at about configure files, the error message in title comes up.
    Is this why the HP scanner Director won't scan a document, saying the scanner is not connected properly?

    If it works on the one computer, see what JRE you have - if any by doing this: go to a command prompt(used to call it a DOS window) and key in:
    java -versionAlternatively, go to your add/remove programs menu and scan for a Java version.
    Whichever version is mentioned - go to
    the http://java.sun.com/products/archive/
    ... get that and put it on your other computer.

  • Server time-out issue - unable to start "hello - world" application

    Hi Team,
    I am doing the exercise of week 1 of "Intro to SAP HANA Cloud platform (Repeat) " -
    I am unable to start the application - I get the server time out error - also I tried increasing the timeout in server editor to 600 - I still
    get the error as shown below
    Please help me in resolving this.
    Thanks in advance!
    -Manju

    1. I meant look for any errors in the logs, for something related to your app.
    2. Just go to Java Applications in Cockpit. BTW, do you know the help center SAP HANA Cloud Documentation? That should be your first stop for any questions around HCP along with the SAP HANA Cloud Platform Developer Center and http://hcp.sap.com/.
    3. There should be more details in that log file about the reason the app could not start.
    HTH!

  • Help. Windows 7: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150002).

    I just got a new computer. Windows 7. Toshiba. Intel 13-3110M Processor. 6GB DDR3 Memory. 1TB 5400rpm Hard Drive. Intel HD Graphics 4000. 2.40 GHz. 64-bit operating system.
    I installed CS5 Creative Suite on it (which worked perfectly fine on my two previous computers--Windows 7 and Windows 8). Since then Photoshop and Illustrator have been giving me the same error message. "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150002). Click OK to close the application." The programs still open and remain open after pressing okay, but the message comes back every minute or so.
    Then, with InDesign, the program won't open at all. It gives me the error message of "Cannot load the PDF.RPLN plug-in. It is dependent on the EPS PAGE ITEM.RPLN plug-in, which failed to load. Please check documentation for the EPS PAGE ITEM.RPLN plug-in." Then InDesign stops responding and closes itself.
    I have to live with this computer for two more weeks (and then I go home and can use my old one again/return this current laptop), and I have schoolwork that counts on me being able to use these programs. If anybody could help me, I would be super grateful!
    Oh, and I've already tried installing and uninstalling it.

    Without system information nobody can say anything. also check the logs in the Event Viewer.
