Unable to start up trial version of Audition 3

I installed the trial version of Audition 3. The installation completed without incident. When I start Audition 3 a start window appears, identifying the program and that it is "Initializing Required Components." That's as far as it gets. A second, smaller message window appears, indicating the program is shutting down and there is a message that reads "To continue working where you left off, please restart Audition." I click on the OK button and Audition 3 goes away.
I have uninstalled and re-installed Audition 3 trial twice, restarted the computer (power off power on), retested and the same startup window and shutdown window appear each time I start the program. I also manually removed any Audition 3 residue from Program Files after each uninstall.
I have a copy of Audition 1.5 installed and it works with or without Audition 3 trial installed. My computer meets all the minimum system requirements to run Audition 3 except possibly the requirement for "1280x900 monitor resolution with 32-bit video card and 16MB of VRAM." I can drive the monitor at 1280x1024 and 32-bit but I don't know if the video card has 16MB of VRAM. The card is a Nvidia Ti 4600. With the video card set to 1280x1024 (no display option for 1280x900) and 32-bit I get the same startup/shutdown sequence mentioned previously.
A search of the Adobe Knowledgebase for the phrase "please restart Audition" provided answers but, unfortunately, not any answers relevant to this situation.
Any ideas what sort of conflicts to seek out? Does Audition 3 trial co-exist peacefully with older versions of Audition?

An expired trial app would display a different message, wouldnt it? In this case the app wouldnt start immediately after what appeared to be a successful first installation. After initial installation I tried to start the app about six times and each time it went into shutdown. I shut down and restarted my computer to see if that would have an effect on the app starting, which it didnt. THEN I uninstalled the app, deleted any Audition 3 related folders and files and re-installed the app and tested again. And again. There was never an indication the app trial period had expired.
If uninstalling/re-installing the app kills my opportunity to test Audition 3 that sucks...

Trial version of Audition CS 5.5 cannot interact with Premiere Pro CS5?

I have Premiere Pro CS5 and downloaded a trial of Audition CS 5.5. The option "Edit in Audition" in PP CS5 is greyed out, so I cannot test the sound editing interaction between the two PP and Audition.
What is wrong?
Is it not possible to use PP CS5 with Audition CS5.5?
Is it not possible in the trial version of Audition?
Or am I doing something else wrong...?

Since there is a menu item called "Edit with Audition" it seems as if there at least has been a connection before? So, can I buy/try an earlier version of Audition to make it work?
I want to test if Audition can remove some background noise that occur in one of my productions, before I buy. If it is possible to try it out in an earlier version , I guess I will also be prepared to upgrade PP, but I wont buy anything without knowing it can solve the issue.

I am trying to download the trial version of After Effects for testing. I downloaded Edge animate from the cloud several months ago with no probelem. Safari says it can not open the address. Is this a firewall issue? UPDATE: I uninstalled and then reinstalled the Creative Cloud download app. It seems to have downloaded and installed fine but when I go to download a trial app nothing happens, nor do I know what to do. The creative cload window opens in my mac and that's all. Any suggestions.
I have also noticed the CC icon on the top title bar of my mac remains dim, don't know if that is an issue. The only options it gives me is Help, Open as window and Close Creative Cloud. What gives?

Getting started with trial version of Adobe XI

I downloaded the trial version of Adobe XI. Once installed I attempted to convert a PDF document into a Word document by clicking on the "tools" as instructed in the tutorial. I then chose convert to "Microsoft Work" and clicked on "convert". A box then popped up asking me to purchase a year long subscription to be unlimited downloads. I don't want to make that purchase and the pop up box asking that I purchase the subscription will not go away nor and when I click on "convert" again, it does nothing.

What do you mean by "Adobe XI"?
You seem to be mixing up two entirely different ways to go from PDF to Word, because you have elements of both of them in your question.

Hi everyone
i am working on AE 6.5 which work fine on XP pro (newly re-installed OS)
I need AE7 for few days, so I have downloaded the trial version.
Here what's happening when double clicking on Setup.exe:
1 st window : select language
2nd window: adobe bridge "please wait while windows configure adobe bridge",
and then...nothing..installation stops without any error message
What's wrong ?
(note: i have downloaded the trial version twice....)

Do you have any other Adobe programs on your systems? Especially newer ones like Acrobat Reader 8 or versions of Photoshop and Illustrator that have auto-updated? If so, uninstall them and see if that helps.

The application server is unable to connect to the DB because it does not have the username/password that is stored in the XUSER file. If this is a unix system, then check the home directory for sidadm to see if the .XUSER file (it might be named something like .XUSER.62) is there.
Are you using the sidadm account to start the system?
