Unable to surf internet on iphone on my company's wi-fi
Whenever I try to connect my iphone, on my company's wi-fi, network, which has a proxy server, the iphone detects the company's wi-fi and display's "Connected" but I am unable to surf the internet.
On manually filling the proxy server's settings, it fails to connect.
Please advise
Try contacting your IT department's technical support hotline. There are plenty of reasons why they may not allow approved devices to use their wireless network.

Were you using your Mac as the wifi hot spot? If so, the settings might of been changed during the install.
Double check to see if your Mac is putting out a wifi signal and check your Sharing prefernces.

Can I use the iPad without 3G option to surf Internet thru iPhone hotspot when I am outside with no wifi connection ?No, you'll need to enable Mobile Hotspot through your carrier. To access it, go to Settings<General<Network<Personal Hotspot on your iPhone. It takes a while for me to load, but again, your carrier needs to enable the hotspot feature on your plan.
About third party apps (if you're curious), such apps have been available on the App Store for very small windows of time. You need to pay each month, unless you want to jailbreak, which voids your warranty.
When you have the hotspot setup, just connect your iPad to wi-fi, and your network name will show up. Connect to it, and there ya go. -
Unable to browse internet over wifi on my iphone
I am unable to browse internet on my iphone 4 and ipad3 simultaneously over wifi.
Both iphone and ipad show connected over wifi but only my ipad can connect to internet. Along with ipad I have no problem in connecting laptop and my other android phone over wifi and browse but iphone won't.
I am using talktalk broadband. Please helpDoes your phone receive a valid ip address from your router?
Does it work fine when connected to other wifi networks? If so, then I'd say your router is the culprit. -

I would verify each smtp setting in the settings email account with the settings

I dont believe that the issue is with the iphone. I can connect to internet with the same phone on another computer. It´s just this computer that cannot connect with any iphone. Tried several. -
I have an iPhone 4s, and I reset the content and setting. It turned on, I chose English, Australia, and now, I am unable to connect/activate my iPhone through Wi-Fi, and for an unknown reason, it will not allow me to use cellular data or iTunes. I'm not sure of what to do. It's quite frustrating, and all I need is advice, and help. I would much appreciate it. Thank-you.
In order to download to your phone over the air, you need to be connected to WiFi.
It's possible the Internet connection through Verizon is not stable enough for the downlaod to begin (it is a very large download).
You might want to head over to Starbucks with your laptop for the afternoon and see if you can download it over their WiFi. -
Cannot surf internet with WRT54G v5 on Windows Vista RTM x64
Hi, I have a Linksys WRT54G v5 router with Firmware Version: v1.01.1, Nov. 10, 2006. On Windows Vista x64 I Network conections says that I have Internet access, as a matter of fact Windows Update works fine and downloads some update without any problem.
I tried on two onboard network cards thai I have on my MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum: Nvidia NForce 3 and Realtek RTL8169/8110 Family Gigabit Ethernet NIC. I tried also installing a PCI Realtek network card and no luck at all.
The thing is IE7, MSN, and any application that tries to access Internet cannot connect. IE7 says "address invalid". However on IE7 64 bit surf internet perfectly, everything else fails to surf.
Same router is working fine on Windows XP x64 Edition and 32 bit.

You can check it from start > run > cmd and then ipconfig. If you are unable to pick up an IP address then try to lower the card speed
If still unable to get it working then check with the Microsoft whether the cards do support vista or no. -
HT1695 Unable to use internet using Edge.
I am using iPhone 3GS. Recently I upgraded to iOS 6. However since then I am unable to use internet via cellular n/w. I have registered for 2G monthly data plan. The data plan is activated. I have checked the option for Cellular data as ON via Settings > General > Cellular. However for 2G, I am not getting the status icon 'E' (for Edge) as per 2G plan. Please let me know if I need to do anything more?

I am unable to update/restore my iPhone on my MacBook after attempting to downgrade iTunes 10 to iTunes 9.2. I am currently running iTunes 10 on my MacBook right now because it was my only option to get iTunes back on my MacBook. Everything is fine with syncing my device but the only problem I keep encountering is the restoring and updating options. When I restore my device it tells me that It could not be restored at this time. When I update it, iTunes tells me that it cannot complete the current build. I know for a fact I am missing some files that were deleted when I attempted the downgrade. Anybody know what files I am currently missing that is causing this?

Unable to receive internet connection over wifi connection. Shows that I am connected to the network, but do not have internet access. Checked my firewall and turned it off. What else am I missing or should be doing differently?
You might want to try resetting your router and your modem - just unplug the cords, leave them unplugged for about 3-5 minutes and then replug the modem and then the router in that order.
This may or may not correct your problem - call back if it doesn't.
