Unable to sync 2 different iPods

I have 2 separate folders for 2 iPods. iPod(1) installs with no problem. When I plug in the iPod(2), I get "Some items in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPod because they could not be found". I then click 'Ok'. Then I goto iPod(2), then Music, 'Sync Music' is ticked, then tick folder called '2gb iPod music'. The message stating 'some items in the iTunes libarary were not copie...' appears, then it starts copying but only copies a few tracks then stops. On Summnary tab, 'sync only checked songs' is selected. Please can you advise? I look forward to your assistance.

Select the iPod in iTunes.
Click the Music tab.
Select *Sync music* and All *songs and playlists*.
If Yes is selected, it creates a new playlist with the songs from iPod(1) folder.
It should select songs from the entire library, not only from a specific playlist.
Let it do that, then do it again and selec tonyl the playlis you want.
You can then delete this new playlist it created.

  • I am unable to sync my ipod nano to my itunes.

I am unable to sync my ipod nano to my itunes. I have windows 8 and have updated everything on my computer and followed all of the tutorials for syncing. My ipod is recognized and my itunes says "ipod sync is complete" but I dont have any music on my ipod still... Help Please!

You probably need to set up automatic syncing.  If you have not set up anything to sync, iTunes will still sync, but sync nothing.
If you "updated everything," you probably have the new iTunes 12.  Connect the iPod.  Look on the horizontal bar that goes across the iTunes window (near the top), and click the "device button" (it looks like the connected device).  This shows the iPod's "management" screen.
In the sidebar (along left side of window), under Settings, click Music.  To the right, you see the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.  Check the box for Sync Music, which enables automatic syncing for Music.  NOTE:  If that was box not checked already, and you manually added songs to the iPod previously, any songs on the iPod now that are not in your iTunes library will be lost.
Below that, if your iTunes music library is small enough to fit on your iPod completely, you can choose the option to sync Entire music library.
Otherwise, choose the option to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  Below that, select what you want to sync from the lists of playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  The "capacity bar" at the bottom of the screen shows you how much space on the iPod you are using.  A convenient way to do this is to first create one or more playlists in your iTunes library, and put only the songs you want on the iPod on those playlists.  Or you can use existing playlists.  Then, on the iPod's Music screen, only select (checkmark) the those playlists, under Playlists.
When you click Apply, iTunes syncs your iPod based on your selection on the iPod's Music screen.  Going forward, changes in your iTunes music library sync automatically to the iPod (based on how you set up the iPod's Music screen).  If you selected playlists to sync to the iPod, to update songs on the iPod, just update those playlists in your iTunes library (add/remove songs).  The iPod does not need to be connected.  The next time you connect the iPod (or click Sync if already connected), iTunes updates the iPod with the same changes.

  • Unable to sync any iPod  in iTunes -- corefp.dll error in windows

I have a frustrating problem with iTunes and need help. I've been using iTunes for several years and have had no problems. Last night I tried to sync and received an error from iTunes saying that iTunes had encountered an error. In looking at the error message, it referenced the file corefp.dll. I've tried syncing three of my iPods, and the same thing happens. The iPods are recognized and they start to synch but after a few minutes I get the error message. iTunes sync's fine with my AppleTV, but not with any of my iPods.
I've uninstalled iTunes and reninstalled it, used the Apple Update service to see if there were any new updates (there were none) but that did not help. I also deauthorized my computer with the iTunes store and then reauthorized it. That also did not help. Everything I have in iTunes has been purchased. Everything works in Apple TV.
I'm using Windows XP (latest service pack) and the latest version of iTunes. My iPod touch has the newest version operating system (I believe it's 2.2.1)
Any ideas on what I should do?
    Thanks

I am also unable to sync my iPod classic to iTunes 8.0.2.20 (my Apple TV would sync just fine). I read on other threads that there is an issue related to DRM. I deauthorized my computer, and the sync completed fine (minus the DRM songs of course). Apple has an issue to fix

  • HT1719 I am unable to sync my IPOD

I am unable to sync my IPOD the sync option is greyed out on my Mac PC

If you are seeing the command to sync in the iTunes menu bar grayed out, that is because (in the latest iTunes) you need to select a device in iTunes (such as your iPod) to enable that command.
To select your iPod, click on it under DEVICES in the iTunes sidebar.  If the iTunes sidebar (along left side of window) is not visible, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
Or, when the sidebar is not visible, you can click on the "device button" (that says "iPod" if the connected device is an iPod) near the upper right corner or the iTunes window.  That will select your iPod.
Once a device is selected, the commands in the menu bar that apply to a device are enabled.  NOTE:  For syncing, after selecting your iPod, you can  click the Sync button near the bottom right corner of the iTunes window.

  • HT1689 I am unable to sync my Ipod touch  due to not enough space ? I delet bunch of podcasts from my ipod  still not downloading ? help pl.

im unable to sync my ipod touch due to not enough space ? even after i deleted bunch of podcasts  from it ? help pl.

    - When you deleted them did the requested amount of storage space decrease?
    - Try resetting the iPod. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - When you look at the colored bargraph of storage usage on the iPod in iTunes how much is taken up by "other". If greater than about 3/4 GB then restoring from backup usually reduced the "other".

  • Media unable to sync to iPod

Hey everyone. I am having an issue with my iTunes and iPod Classic not syncing some of my media.  There are a few video's that are coming up with an "unable to sync as iPod does not support this format" message. The format is an MPEG4 video file. The problem here is that I have other MPEG4 video files synced to my iPod.
How can I correct this issue and can it even be corrected?

Meanwhile I can play all of this music out of itunes I just cant seem to load it to my ipod. why? all of the songs in the playlists seem to have an "!" next to them in the track list. That is until i play them then it goes away im not sure if these things are related but i think they may be. plaese help

+all of the songs in the playlists seem to have an "!" next to them in the track list. That is until i play them then it goes away im not sure if these things are related but i think they may be.+
Yes, I'm sure they are related. I have no idea how your PC/itunes got into that state. What's happening now, is itunes thinks it doesn't know where the file is on your PC's hard drive, but when you double-click it, it mysteriously finds it.
I suspect after itunes finds it again, it will load to your ipod.
Is this music on an external HD?

  • I'm suddenly unable to sync my iPod because the playlists no longer exist.

I plugged my ipod in like normal, and when I hit the button to sync it, it said that "songs on the ipod cannot be synced because all of the playlists selected for syncing no longer exist".
when i unplugged my ipod, all of the songs were gone, but they were still in the itunes library on the computer.
    please help!

You get this problem when the option 'Sync Music - Selected playlists' is being used to sync your iPod. If the playlist selected is deleted from iTunes the iPod no longer has a location to sync from and you get an error. (Syncing selected playlists by the way is a useful setting to use when the iPod is smaller than the iTunes library). However you can make a new one or make use of an existing one.
Open iTunes and create a playlist to update your iPod from, call it -My iPod for example (the dash will position it at the top of the playlists in Sources). You can make it a smart playlist that picks the songs for you or just a normal one and drag whatever content you want to have into the playlist. If you are making a smart playlist limit it to just less than the size of your iPod (for example 3700MB for a 4G iPod Nano. Now connect your iPod and when it appears in the Source list click on the iPod icon to bring up the preference tabs in the main pane. Go to the Music tab and choose Sync Music and the Selected playlists radio button. Choose the playlist you just made from the selection and click Apply. You can also sync from any existing playlists by choosing the same setting, you just need to make sure that the size of the playlists don't exceed the capacity of your iPod:
How to create a Smart Playlist with iTunes
    Syncing Music to iPod
To make a random playlist go to File>New Smart Playlist.
    Uncheck "Match the following rule"
Check "Limit to" put "3700" in the number box, choose "MB" from the first list box, choose "Random" from the next list box. Check "Live Updating"
When you want to change the selection in the smart playlist just delete everything in it and it will add a new selection. When you want to change the normal playlist just delete out what you don't want and drag in a new selection.

  • How do i sync different ipods on same itunes/computer?

I have an ipod classic and shuffle. Shuffle was purchased afterwards.
I managed to create a separate library and added songfs into Shuffle's library. Now i'd like to sync, but forgot how
to bring up each account, but can't open that library. Little help>???? Thanks.

With iTunes, you can only run 1 library at a time. Libra allows you to create more than one library and switch between them. You will have to use something like Libra to import your other library, the one that you create for your shuffle and have libra switch to it. The problem that you will run into is that if you switch to your other library, when you plug in your ipod classic, iTunes will tell you that it was synced with another library and you will need to erase and sync. If you want to sync both ipods to the same library, 1 of the them will need to be erased and synced.

  • I am unable to sync my Ipod touch with Outlook 2007, an operation I was able to do with no problem using Outlook 2002.

When I plug my ipod touch into my desktop computer to synchronise it, and in particular with Outlook 2007, I get the error message "Itunes was unable to load provider data from Sync Services". Reconnect or try again. All appropriate boxes have been ticked where possible, the callendar and contacts boxes being greyed out and ticking not possible.  When using Outlook 2002 this box enabled sync to be carried out with Outlook without a problem.  I have uninstalled both Outlook and Itunes and reset my Ipod Touch but get the same results no matter what I do.  Apple claim that the Ipod touch is compatible with Outlook 2007 but it appears not to be the case. I am using the latest Ipod software of 4.2.1.  Can anyone help me.

Tough spot if you want Apple only SW, no idea where you can get where you want without some decent 3rd party SW, which as a rule outshines Apple's SW by light years.
