Unable to Sync(mac)

I am currently unable to sync movies with my iphone, i never had any problems. even synced with 2 pc's and nothing now everytime i attempt to sync from itunes to iphone this message comes up: "The iphone cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-50)." what can this problem be???

I noticed from your post that you are running mac os x 10.4.9
Try running software updates to get the computer completely up to date then try syncing the videos.
Hope this helps

  • Mac OS 10.9.1(Maverick) + Blackberry Desktop Software 2.4.0 build 18 and Blackberry Curve 9320 - unable to sync Mac contacts nor calendars

    this is so frustrating!
I upgraded to mac OS 10.9.1 a few months ago.  I can no longer sync my mac contacts nor calendars onto my Blackberry Curve - this is my business phone.
I've hunted and hunted around for a solution and have got nowhere, other than a very long convoluted method which requires me to back-up my mac contacts, go into various files and change things ... all very risky.  I appreciate that Mac have done the dirty by seeminly removing iSync and unabling Sync Services in the normal sense of the word, but I would've thought that Blackberry by now would have come up with a work around?
Can I export the data and import it into the phone somehow?  or Has anyone got a viable solution?  If not the blackberry is going in the bin and I will get a smart phone that does "talk" to my mac.
    Many thanks

I have the same problem, and a supervisor Apple Support guy just told me (23 jan 14), after 2 days of searching, that it is impossible to sync a BB with Mavericks...
I am furious too : it is just like if Apple would be telling plainly that an iPhone cannot phone to a BB...!

  • I am unable to sync my iPhone4 iCal to my Mac iCal. Snow Leopard does not support the Cloud. What do I do?

I am unable to sync my iPhone4S iCal to my Mac iCal. Snow Leopard is my OS and it does not support the cloud. What do I do?

To makeuse of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mountain Lion, provided it meets the requirements.
    The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
To purchase it you will have to ring Apple at the number given at the bottom left of this page.
The requirements for Mountain Lion are listed here:
    http://www.apple.com/osx/specs/
It is available from the Mac App Store (in Applications).
You should be aware that PPC programs (such as AppleWorks) will not run on Lion or above; and some other applications may not be compatible - there is a useful compatibility checklist at http://roaringapps.com/apps:table

  • HT204053 I am unable to sync all contacts on my iMac (which includes outlook for Mac contacts) with my iPad mini, how do I do this, I have enabled icloud on both devices and ticked all the boxes.

I am unable to sync all contact in my address book on my imac with my ipad mini, it looks like only icloud & yahoo contact sync leaving out the ones in outlook for mac.  I have enabled icloud on both devices and ticked all the boxes.

Thanks for that, but my Outlook contacts are synced to and all in my mac contacts book, does this not meen they would go to icloud,
No, they are in the On My Mac account in the Mac Contacts app, not iCloud.
or are they in a different format despite being in mac contacts?  If so can the outlook contacts be exported in some other way to icloud?
Outlook is not compatible with iCloud, check Microsofts site if you need more verification.
If you want them in iCloud use Mac Contacts and move them from On My Mac to iCloud. This will remove them from Outlook.

  • Unable to sync outlook for mac 2011

    Hi All,
I have been unable to sync my outlook contacts and calender. iTunes wants to sync to the apple address book and ical. Is there any way to fix this problem? btw all programs and iphone and ipad have been updated to the latest versions.
    Thanks,
    Mike

This is a user to user help forum only. Apple does not provide direct support or answer any questions here. If you want Apple to weigh in on this, you need to call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.
Is there an option available to sync contacts and calendar events with Outlook for the Mac under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes? If not, the option is not available which means this is not supported yet. Outlook for the Mac is a new product.
As already provided, the iPhone supports syncing contacts and calendar events with Entourage which is not direct with Entourage. The iPhone syncs direct with the Address Book and iCal which in turn is kept synced with the Entourage address book and calendar. Outlook for the Mac is just a name change and upgrade for Entourage on the Mac. Entourage includes a preference setting for sync services with Apple's Address Book and iCal, which must be enabled with Entourage. Outlook for the Mac likely includes the same thing.
Have you visited Microsoft's website for Outlook for the Mac? I'm sure they provide support there or someplace for Outlook for the Mac.

If you are indeed using 10.5.8 as indicated in your signature you will first need to upgrade to Snow Leopard; this is available in the Online Apple Store. You will then be able to uprade to Lion - again available in the Online Store where you will get a code to enable download from the App Store in Applications. This will enable you to use iCloud and run the latest iTunes.

  • IPhone 3G unable to sync with Mac.

My iPhone 3G running 3.0 is unable to sync or charge with my MacBook Pro.
The phone will sync alright with any other computer in the house, just not this one. I have tried uninstalling, then reinstalling iTunes. It most definitely isn't any of the USB ports on the computer, all other USB devices work perfectly. The phone will only show up in iTunes when put in DFU mode. When attempting to restore the phone in DFU mode it downloads OS 2.2, During the restore it later gives me a restore error message (20).
I then tried to restore the iPhone 3G on one of my Windows machines, it worked, it installed 3.0 as opposed to 2.2.
When trying to plug it into the MBP again, it's a no go. I just don't get it, it worked just fine until I decided to backup my phone yesterday, it never would show up in iTunes. The phone shows up in system profiler under USB. The phone also seems to charge and sync during the startup of the computer but then just cancels as if never connected.
I'm also running the latest version of iTunes and OS X.
Any type of help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,
Try resetting the SMC on the MacBook Pro as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1411
If the issue persists, it may be related to a 3rd-party software. You can generally disable the software causing the conflict by logging into another user account or temporarily moving the /Macintosh HD/ Library/StartupItems folder, as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2602
If there is a conflict, you'll want to contact the software vendor for updates, uninstalling or troubleshooting tips.

  • Multiple calendars have appeared on my Iphone and I am unable to sync all of them to my PC, running Windows 7 and Office 2010. How can I sync all the calendars to my PC, or, merge the calendars on the Iphone so there is only 1 calendar to sync?

If the hard drive that crashed is the one that stored the itunes library, be sure to restore the library from Time Machine (mac) or whatever backup you use on windows.  That will get back your music.  I suspect that the replacement drive has an empty itunes library and thus, perhaps, the itunes match used that to sync to its servers.
Try posting in the iTunes Match forum, you'll probably find more knowledgeable folks there.
