Unable to sync music on iOS 5 beta 3
Hello
I downloaded iOS 5 beta 3, and itunes 10.5 beta 3 for windows 7 64 bit
I'm unable to sync my music (and I tried every trick i know)
When pressing the "music" tab under my device in itunes, I can see my music but it's all grayed out as if its already installed
Can you help me ?

- I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- Then do the other actions of:

- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Okay, you are using Windows 7. What version of iTunes do you have. Please don't tell me the most current one, go into Help then About iTunes and read what it says.

I read your entire message, and my mom's iPhone 5 does this exact same thing. When the idiot at the AT&T store transferred her data (well, most of it) to her new phone, he DID NOT use her latest iCloud backup like he should have, but used some features in "Bump" to move things across. So, in my opinion, it's not worth the hassle of restoring it as a new device as Tim suggests. That's just the easy answer. Here's something odd about hers. It seems to do this, when she's using her bluetooth earpiece (a Jawbone Icon), but not when she's got bluetooth disabled on the iPhone 5 and holding down the "Home" button to activate Siri. If she uses her Jawbone bluetooth earpiece to activate Siri, the answer that Siri presents on the phone's screen will only stay on for about five seconds, then dim, then go blank -- and she has to "swipe to unlock" and, of course, the Siri information is gone. Not so if she uses the Home key to activate Siri.

Rest everything is synced from pics to tones but only music doesnt sync.Most movies go over the 100 MB cellular download. Do it using computer iTunes then sync to you iPhone provided you have enough space.

I'm unable to sync the music and apps on my iphone. The phone has recently being retored and this was the cause of all my problems
i can see all my music in itunes however I cannot add any songs or edit the playlists.
When I press sync music it does not do anything.
Another odd thing is that I see my phone name however there is also "on this phone" in itunes - and this does not contain any of music and does not allow me to add any music.

Ever since I updated my iphone to IOS 7 have been unable to sync my music from my computer to my iphone. Is this a problem with the iphone or itunes? Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
I've had the same problem for a while, but have a fix that worked for me:
Log out of iTunes on BOTH the phone and the computer, plug in USB and then sync as usual.
I tried various other tips and tricks that didn't help, but logging out on both devices did.
Maybe that will work for you. -
I updated to ios7 but now I am unable to sync music to my ipad2
I updated my ipad2 to ios7 without difficulty. All apps, contacts, etc are fine. But, now when I plug in and attempt to sync music in itunes I am unable to. The sync button is greyed out completely. I can't put any music on my ipad except for a few songs in icloud which automatically appear. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
They posted an update before iOS 7 hit stating it was necessary to update the app before installing iOS 7.

I just bought iphone 5. my mac book is OS X version 10.5.8.
Prolem is I am trying to sync music from itunes as i did in iphone 4, but unable to do it because it requires itunes 10.7 and Mac OS X version 10.6.8 or later. What I have to do now?? Why iphone 5 is not compatible with my existing itunes as I did on iphone4??Because in designing the iPhone 5 Apple needed to use an Updated version of iTunes in order to offer all the new features that the iPhone 5 offers. This is discussed in a Support Article on the Mac's OS X Requirements for syncing with the iPhone 5. Apple has always had to update its Apps and OS's in order to offer new features. You just haven't Upgraded your Mac and its version of OS X in a long time. Now would be a good time.

Unable to sync music to iPod or iPhone
I still have not seen an answer to this problem.
Currently I am unable to sync any music to either my iPod or iPhone and do NOT get any form of error message from iTunes. When the sync is complete and successful, it says so in the iTunes progress window. Sync is always successful according to iTunes.
It will sync contacts, calendars, photo's and movies to the iPhone but not music. iPod has no video capability and iTunes will not sync music to it.
iPod is a mini(4Gb) with a Firewire connection, iPhone is Gen 1 with USB 2.0 connection.
I have synced to both devices without a problem in the recent past.
iTunes has been uninstalled and reinstalled.
ALL music plays from within iTunes and the iTunes library is on the same disk as iTunes.
There are NO error messages at all.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
PiPod prefs are just fine, as are the iPhone prefs.
Regarding the Check Marks. None of the music has check marks in front of it and this I find is the problem.
Something seemingly unimportant and unnoticed was causing all this grief.
My thanks to you Diane, now that the check marks are in place, the iPhone has music again. I'm guessing that the iPod will also have music on it shortly.

Unable to sync music on ip4 after restore
I had to restore my i4 the other day. The backup put all of my data back on the phone except for my music. I have the sync checked songs tab checked. I checked the sync music tab under music and i was able to get a plylist on the phone, buut still no other music. This started after the restore a few days ago.

let's clear your question: you have some personal video files that made with iPhone, and then used handbrake to convert the videos. The video and Mp3 files can't sync to iPad 4, right?
Well, while you convert the videos with handbrake, what output settings you choose? iPad or Apple TV is ok.
Or else you maybe need another video converter.
