I am unable to sync my contacts from outlook in xp to my ipad 3 have followed all instructions without success.  Can any one help

Sync the photos back to the iPad using iTunes. You have to place the photos into a folder from which you sync photos. All photos that you want to sync to the device must be included in the main photos folder and selected to sync each time that you sync.
Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Photos Tab on the right.
Click on the Sync Photos From heading in order to select it.
Select the photos folder that you want to sync from.
Select all of the albums or photos within the folder that you want to sync.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

  • HT204053 I am unable to sync all contacts on my iMac (which includes outlook for Mac contacts) with my iPad mini, how do I do this, I have enabled icloud on both devices and ticked all the boxes.

I am unable to sync all contact in my address book on my imac with my ipad mini, it looks like only icloud & yahoo contact sync leaving out the ones in outlook for mac.  I have enabled icloud on both devices and ticked all the boxes.

Thanks for that, but my Outlook contacts are synced to and all in my mac contacts book, does this not meen they would go to icloud,
No, they are in the On My Mac account in the Mac Contacts app, not iCloud.
or are they in a different format despite being in mac contacts?  If so can the outlook contacts be exported in some other way to icloud?
Outlook is not compatible with iCloud, check Microsofts site if you need more verification.
If you want them in iCloud use Mac Contacts and move them from On My Mac to iCloud. This will remove them from Outlook.

After upgrading to iOS 7.0.4 i am unable to sync my contacts in Outlook.  Help!
    Thank you,
    Victor

My phone has just done this for the second time, the first time it was in warranty and apple replaced it for free. It has now happened again and as the warranty is finished  I'm being told it will cost £115 to fix (replace again) I've given up and I'm now getting a new phone.

  • ITunes Unable to Sync Google Contact Groups?

Seems the previous topic on "iTunes Unable to Sync Google Contact Groups?" was archived without a fix being reported!
I have iTunes (version 9.0.3.15) running on Windows Vista and iPhone 3Gs (version 3.1.1) and this issue with not being able to select sub groups in Google Contacts is still buggin' me... a lot!
Has anyone heard if Apple have fixed this?
    Thanks, Adam.

I just got off the phone with Apple support. They said this feature is not supported. It was, but not anymore.
You would think that this would be pretty easy to figure out.
I'm just as frustrated as the rest of you.

  • While syncing my google contacts with address book application on my macbook air I accidentally deleted directory services group on the left. How to get it back? Now I am unable to sync my contacts either with google or with icloud.

I use OSX Maverics. On my macbook air OSX 10.9.4. On the left side (groups), I have accidentally deleted the Directories group. Now I am unable to sync contacts with gmail. What should I do?

Add them back in Contacts/Preferences/Accounts. Use the + sign at the bottom.

  • TS1347 I had to get a new hard drive on my laptop PC.  Now I am unable to sync my contacts and calendar from my iphone to the outlook software on my PC.  Although they are backed up on icloud, I really want the information on my computer.

I cannot figure out how to sync my contacts and calendar from my iphone with my windows PC.  The message during the itunes sync process is that information is being backed up to both the cloud and my PC.  However the Outlook software remains blank.  What can I do??

  • I am unable to sync the contacts on my iMac into my iPhone 4.  Any recommendations?

I have a couple hundred contacts on my Mac and only 38 on my iPhone.  I go through the sync process using iTunes, but the contacts in the Mac  do not migrate into the iPhone.  I must be missing something???
    Thanks,
    Don

Try backing up your contacts on both your Mac (by opening Address Book/Contacts, then going to File>Export>Contacts Archive and saving this to your desktop) and your iPhone (by using the app My Contacts Backup).  After everything is backed up, reset your SyncServices folder on your Mac as discussed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627, then try syncing your contacts again.

  • Unable to sync Google Contacts

Hello! I just bought the iPhone 3GS and wanted to sync my contacts with Google Contacts using iTunes (8.2.1.6). However, when I input my e-mail address and password, it says that they're wrong, even though I've double and triple-checked that they're not.
Am I doing something wrong here?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
Many Gmail password issues can be resolved by unlocking the account here: https://www.google.com/accounts/DisplayUnlockCaptcha
Also, you can setup Google Sync with the iPhone as described here: http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=138740

  • Unable to syncing all contacts

I am trying to sync my contacts from my macbook pro to my ipod nano (3rd gen), and if I have anything else on the ipod it tells me it has inadequate space to sync them all.
    The ipod is 8GB.
The contact list is 578 items, totaling 18.6 MB.
In iTunes the ipod shows 2.71 GB free at the moment.
After syncing, the message on the iPod in contacts says "287 of your 578 contacts were loaded. Only a limited portion of your contacts could be loaded due to th amount of content on this iPod."
    Argh!
    Any ideas out there?

    Hello ReallyCookin,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
Several users have been able to resolve the issue be resetting the iPod with it still connected to their computer and perhaps without it connected as well if no luck with it connected. To do this, toggle the hold switch on and off, then press and hold the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together until the Apple logo appears. This may clear up memory issues your iPod is experiencing.
About the only suggestion I have that has been successful before, and I'm not sure if there was ever a permanent fix found for the 3rd generation iPod nanos. Here is one older thread where it is discussed.

  • Mac OS 10.9.1(Maverick) + Blackberry Desktop Software 2.4.0 build 18 and Blackberry Curve 9320 - unable to sync Mac contacts nor calendars

    this is so frustrating!
I upgraded to mac OS 10.9.1 a few months ago.  I can no longer sync my mac contacts nor calendars onto my Blackberry Curve - this is my business phone.
I've hunted and hunted around for a solution and have got nowhere, other than a very long convoluted method which requires me to back-up my mac contacts, go into various files and change things ... all very risky.  I appreciate that Mac have done the dirty by seeminly removing iSync and unabling Sync Services in the normal sense of the word, but I would've thought that Blackberry by now would have come up with a work around?
Can I export the data and import it into the phone somehow?  or Has anyone got a viable solution?  If not the blackberry is going in the bin and I will get a smart phone that does "talk" to my mac.
    Many thanks

I have the same problem, and a supervisor Apple Support guy just told me (23 jan 14), after 2 days of searching, that it is impossible to sync a BB with Mavericks...
I am furious too : it is just like if Apple would be telling plainly that an iPhone cannot phone to a BB...!

  • Unable to sync Google Contacts Iphone5s iOS8

    Hi,
I am unable to get the synchronisation working for my new Iphone 5s. I am using iOS8.1.
I basicly used the following steps to try get the syncronisation working:
    https://support.google.com/mail/answer/2753077?hl=en
This worked great for Emails and Calendar but no luck with contacts... I then tried various other Syncronisation (Exchange, CardDav) with no luck...
I havent found any bug reports on that issue so I will just try it here.
    Thanks

Hi, I have a solution for you, but it might take you a few minutes to finish it:
    First, export your Google contacts as a .VCF file. In Gmail, find the contacts and there should be an option for you to export all the contacts;
    Second, open iCloud on your computer. Click Contacts. There is a settings button let you import the .VCF file. Just import it to your iCloud;
Third, on your iPhone, log in iCloud. Sync Contacts.

  • I'm unable to sync my contacts with the new iPhone 5 and my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe. Will there be a fix for this in the next update?

I previously had an iPhone 4 synced and paired with my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe and had no issues. Now I have a new iPhone 5 and am able to sync the phone but the contacts will not update in the phone book listing for the vehicle. I've tried several times to re-sync and pair the phone to the vehicle and still the same issue. I'm able to make an receive calls but no contact information is being displayed. From all of the previous community issues reported it's not an AT&T issue, Hyundai issue, it's clearly pointing at the device (iPhone 5) being the issue.
Will there be a fix for this in the next update?
    Thank you.

Thanks for your response. However, after speaking with a level 2 Apple Advisor and Hyundai there is an issue that both companies are aware of and are working towards a resolution. Here's a blurb from Hyundai that was sent to me after I spoke with Apple Advisor:
"We apologize for any inconvenience associated with the technical issues with devices connected via Bluetooth. Hyundai is aware of the iPhone losing its Bluetooth connection to the vehicle along with any function associated with it at the time. Hyundai has been able to reproduce the concern in our test vehicles and have sent all necessary information to Apple engineers. Hyundai received confirmation from Apple that they will work on debugging.
If your iPhone is 3G, 4, 4S, 5 and has one of the following iOS: 6.0, 6.1.0, 6.1.1, 6.1.2, 6.1.3, 6.1.4 or higher, you may be affected." - Hyundai Engineering

  • Unable to Sync Outlook Contacts of Office 2011 for Mac with iPhone 5

I have been struggling to sync my Outlook 2011 for Mac with my iPhone 5 via iTunes. Apple support says it is not possible. All thier stores say you can use Office on Mac Machines but no one says that you cannot sync contacts with iPhone. Why in the world Apple does not allow to sync contact from Outlook to iPhone? The apple support say that in the earlier version of iTune it was possible but in the current version it is not possible. Has some genius found a way to sync the Outlook 2011 contacts with iPhone using iTune or any other external software? I will be grateful for any help in the matter.

The comment from Apple support was partially true.  If you search the web you will find that Office 2011 (latest Mac version of Office) has never been able to sync with an iPhone.  Older versions (maybe), and Windows versions possibly, but not the latest Mac version.  MS changed the format of just about everything in Outlook 2011.  It was MS that broke the iTunes ability to sync, not Apple.
So, even though Office 2011 works just fine on a Mac, you loose the ability to sync with your iPhone.  Thank the folks in Redmond for this.

  • Unable to Sync Gmail contacts with iCloud

I'm wanting to export my Gmail contacts to a vCard to import into iCloud on my computer so that all of my contacts are in iCloud. I exported all of my contacts to a vCard from Gmail, put it on my computer and dragged the file into the iCloud Contacts section. When I try to drag it over to iCloud in my browser, I get an error message stating "This vCard cannot be imported because it contains invalid contact data."
What am I doing wrong here? I only have about 250 contacts to sync, so it isn't the contact limit and it is only 28k in size, so it isn't a size limit issue either. How do I correctly import all of my contacts into the iCloud? Thanks!

I just imported contacts from gmail to icloud. Check all of your contacts or the ones you want to move, click on the more tab, click export, save the file, log into icloud , click contacts, click settings, click import, find the saved file. Contacts should import.
