Unable to sync old data in Itunes

I have a 3g phone activated and everything work, yet I am unable to sync it in iTunes. I am trying to sync it with all my old iPhone data and I keep getting an error message that says that there is a problem with my phone and I need to contact Apple. Anyone with a simialr message on a working 3g phone?

I am also unable to sync my iPod classic to iTunes 8.0.2.20 (my Apple TV would sync just fine). I read on other threads that there is an issue related to DRM. I deauthorized my computer, and the sync completed fine (minus the DRM songs of course). Apple has an issue to fix

You have posted to the iTunes Match forum, which your question does not appear to be related to. You will probably get better help by posting in the Using iPhone forum.

  • Unable to sync my iphone with itunes over wi-fi

This might be me be being extremely dumb, but I am unable to sync my iphone with itunes over wi-fi. I have itunes 10.5 on windows, have iOS 5. When I plug my phone into my computer I have ticked the box on the device summary screen enabling wi-fi sync but when I go into my iPhone menu, the "sync now" box is greyed out and it just says that it will resume sync when my computer is available.
    Any suggestions>??

Sign me up for a "me too"
updated 1 iPad,1 iPod and 2 iPhone4s and sync works on all but my iPhone4
Each iP* device has it's own Windows 7 system to sync with
When I unplug the iPad, iPod or other iPhone, the device stays in the devices list in iTunes
When I unplug my iPhone, it disappears from the devices list (which makes me think it's iTunes being petulant)
Have tried rebooting bot windows and the iPhone, disabling the firewall and 'repairing' iTunes
It's a 64 bit windows 7, FWIW, but the other iPhone 4 talks nice to a 64 bit windows 7

  • Unable to sync my iPhone with iTunes all of a sudden...

I'm presently unable to sync my iPhone with iTunes for some odd reason. It says "Syncing is disabled on this computer." I checked the iTunes settings and it said under "Syncing" in the preferences that it was in fact enabled so I don't see why all of a sudden I'm having these problems. Any suggestions?

I first reset the sync services in the (Applicantions - Utilities) Terminal: killall SyncServer syncuid SystemUIServer
Then I went to *User/Library/Application Support and dragged the SyncServices folder to the Trash.
Then I logged out from the Apple Menu.
    Then I logged back in.
Now all of the syncing services are working correctly.

I am unable to sync my music in iTunes to my iPhone 4S.  The Sync button is disabled.  Does anyone know the solution to this?  Thanks.

It may seem simple, but restart both devices.
on the iPhone hold the sleep and home button until the phone rests (soft reset), then restart the iTunes app. Then plug the phone back in then sync again.

unable to sync ipad2 on latest itunes software (10.4) on windows vista

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • Unable to sync iPhone 3G to iTunes 10.5.0.56

Never had any problems syncing until recently. My computer crashed and had to get a new one. Computer guy transfered data from old to new computer. I think that he probably updated my version of iTunes to 10.5.0.56, but can't say for sure. Now I am unable to sync my 3G. My first thought is that my 3G isn't compatible with iTunes 10.5.0.56. Thank you in advance for any input.

    Thanks for the reply.
That's not the answer because it synced fine at work with the same version of Aperture. I restored my iPhone at home to sync with my home machine, but it won't see Aperture libraries at home.
Just to be clear, Aperture shows up as a sync source, but when I tell it to sync Aperture photos, no libraries show up. It's as if I didn't have any libraries in Aperture.

i am unable to sync my ipad 4th generation with iTunes. I get a message saying I do not have enough privileges for this operation

To be honest I'd be very tempted to ring Applecare and explain that prior to downloading iOS5 your iPod Touch worked perfectly however since downloading Apple's new iOS5 it's "bricked" therefore can they as a matter of decency try to help put things right warranty situation notwithstanding.  Afterall it does appear to be one of Apple's products that has broken your previously working iPod Touch.

  • Syncing old ipad to itunes account

My father just gave my son his old ipad and I am trying to sync it to my itunes account. It keeps referring back to my father's account. Help!

Ideally, you would simply restore a backup of your old (broken) computer to your new computer, and pick right up where you left off before your computer broke.
Failing that approach, here are some tips:

  • Unable to sync iPhone4 with new iTunes 11 UI

Has anyone else experienced this?  Just upgraded to iTunes 11 with the new UI and found myself unable to sync my iPhone4.  The "iPhone" button would be next to the "Store" button but if I tried to click it (left or right click) the button simply disappeared and nothing else would happen!  In addition, the entries under the "File > Devices" menu were all disabled.  I found how to re-enable the left sidebar and found that the phone would then show as being connected and could be sync'd.  If I switched back to the new UI, the "iPhone" button again would simply disappear when clicked.  However, after switching back to the new UI, the entries under "File > Devices" were now enabled.
This problem is added to the fact that my phone's calendar has been useless (can't add/edit any entries to it and cannot see/access any of the other calendars that I had subscribed to (holidays, etc.) ever since I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 6!  I normally use my phone's calendar to sync with my business calendar so I'm missing far more than just people's birthdays!

This was a tricky one.  I noticed when I connected my iPhone I could not view any of its files from within My Computer.  Checked USB drivers and Apple Mobile Device was not listed under USB controllers, instead it was only listed under Imaging devices.  As a result, I went to http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 and followed instructions under step #5. At it's conclusion, I am now able to seethe iPhone option next to iTunes Store in the top right corner.  Hope this helps!

  • HT1386 Unable to sync iphone 3g to itunes

For a month I have been unable to sync my iphone 3g to any of my computers..Is there anything that can be done

I'm having a similar problem. It can find my phone but when I try to sync my phone I can't get passed stage 3. It comes up with a message saying "waiting for changes to be applied", yet I've made no changes. I've uninstalled iTunes several times but I still get the same message. Any idea how I could fix this?

  • Unable to sync any iPod  in iTunes -- corefp.dll error in windows

I have a frustrating problem with iTunes and need help. I've been using iTunes for several years and have had no problems. Last night I tried to sync and received an error from iTunes saying that iTunes had encountered an error. In looking at the error message, it referenced the file corefp.dll. I've tried syncing three of my iPods, and the same thing happens. The iPods are recognized and they start to synch but after a few minutes I get the error message. iTunes sync's fine with my AppleTV, but not with any of my iPods.
I've uninstalled iTunes and reninstalled it, used the Apple Update service to see if there were any new updates (there were none) but that did not help. I also deauthorized my computer with the iTunes store and then reauthorized it. That also did not help. Everything I have in iTunes has been purchased. Everything works in Apple TV.
I'm using Windows XP (latest service pack) and the latest version of iTunes. My iPod touch has the newest version operating system (I believe it's 2.2.1)
Any ideas on what I should do?
    Thanks

  • HT1386 Since the new update I have been unable to sync my iTouch with iTunes

A month ago I downloaded some new music and synced it to my iTouch no problem. It seems like since the new update I have been unable to sync BOTH of my iTouch's to my iTunes. When I connect the iTouch to the computer it shows up but not in iTunes. I have redownloaded iTunes with no help. It just keeps showing up as if nothing is attached.
