Unable to sync photos from pc to iphone4

downloaded photos in iphone to pc and saved in a folder.  tried to sync additionla photos from another folder, selecting the folder & using the itunes and it says syncing and it shows the number of photos syncing.  the photos tab on the bottom shows the # photos in the phone, and does not show the new addition.  i even deleted all of the photos on the phone and tried to upload (from the folder withthe original photos from the iphone) just those photos thinking of some incompatitibilty with the file extension (jpeg) on the other folder.   using windows 7, updates on iphone 4s are up to date.  anyone?

Read carefully:
You can only sync ONE folder to the phone.  Whatever is NOT in that folder will be removed from the phone.  You CAN create sub folders to logically divide up your pix into albums.
For example:
If you sync your phone to the folder iPhonePicAlbums, you will get all of Friends, Home & Family, and IDpix
You will NOT get PS Express, even if those pix were previously on the phone.  If you want the pix from the folder PS Express to be transferred to the phone, make it a sub folder under iPhonePicAlbums.

  • Unable to sync photos from iPhoto to Apple TV

I am using iphoto5.0.4 and am unable to sync photos. I select the photo album and click on the "apply" button which greys out for a while and then reverts. When I click on "my photos" in Apple TV I get the message that "There are no photos on your Apple TV." The ATV is able to stream photos from my Powerbook G4 just fine. When I go to "Screen Saver" on the ATV it is only able to access Apple Photos. I upgraded the ATV software without effect. What am I doing wrong?

On the tv you should have selected 'settings/computers/connect to itunes library', I think you likely selected 'settings/computers/connect to shared library'. You may have to select your current shared library and unlink it before you can set it up properly but I'm not too sure as I've not had to do it myself.

  • Unable to sync photos from iPhoto

Got an 8GB iPod Touch yesterday. I can sync everything except my photos from iPhoto. When I go to the Photo tab in iTunes, I place a tick in the check-box that says "Sync photos from:" and then I select iPhoto from the Combo-box. There are 2 radio buttons but only "All photos and albums" is available... "Selected Albums" is greyed out. The box below the radio buttons is also grey and has no entries.
If I try to sync "All photos and albums" I get an error message on my computer that reads: "The iPod [iPod name] cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-50)."
Software updates have all been applied, I have restored my iPod, have verified and fixed file permissions, etc. I have rebuilt the iPhoto library (Command-Option). Both iTunes and iPhoto have been working fine, with no other problems. I am using iLife '08 so I am using iPhoto '08 (version 7.1 (347)).
Has anyone any experience with the problem? I'm thinking that my next step is to reinstall iPhoto/iTunes but I would much rather not have to do that... any suggestions?
    Regards,
    Bill
P.S. I can sync photos from my desktop, just not from iPhoto '08.
P.P.S. My 5th gen video iPod can sync photos from my iPhoto library!

    Hi Damon,
Thanks for the update and the suggestion of trying a new user account... I don't know why that didn't occur to me. Well, you will not be too surprised to hear that with a new user account the photos synced no problem.
That leaves me with an iPhoto library rebuild on my hands. The Apple provided rebuild didn't resolve my issue when I tried it last week. So I will need to do a manual rebuild... something which I have done once before but vowed never to do again as I lost hundreds of hours of work organising and tagging my photos... something which I have invested considerable time in recovering and don't want to lose them again.
With Leopard around the corner, I will be performing a clean install of the new OS on a fresh HDD within the month, so I am going to recreate my iPhoto library that way... rather than invest time now only to see it wasted later.
Thanks once again for the pointers to those Apple docs... most useful.
    Kind regards,
    William

  • Unable to sync photos from iphone 3g

My iphone has over 500 pictures on it, but only about 250 are showing in iphoto. Thinking this might be an iphoto problem, I tried to sync with bridge and lightroom, but the photos are not showing for those, either. How do I force the photos to show up on my computer so I can get them off the phone?

Try the Image Capture application that ships with every Mac. If that doesn't work either consider downloading the PhotoToMac app. It transfers your photos to your Mac over WiFi.

  • Unable to delete photos from my ipad2 .

I am unable to delete photos from my ipad2. I am able to select the photos to delete but when I press the red delete button nothing happens. Is anyone else having this experience? Is there a known problem. Is there a solution?

You don't say what type of photos - were they taken with the iPad or synced from your computer ?
Only photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/wesites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad - either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view. Photos that were synced from your computer are deleted by removing them from where they were synced from and then re-syncing (if you were able to delete them directly on the iPad, then the next time you synced photos they would be put back onto the iPad, unless you remembered to also remove them from your computer).

  • I am unable to download photos from iPhone 4, SD card and SLR camera to iPad 2 using apple accessories. It worked once and then never again. Any ideas ?

I am unable to download photos from my iphone4 , SD card , SLR camera to my ipad2 using apple accessories , please help , it has worked once and then never again.

    Plumchunks-
The only accessory I know of that can be used to transfer photos from a camera or SD card to the iPad, is the Apple Camera Connection Kit.  The kit consists of two adapters.  One has an SD card socket.  The other has a USB connector to connect directly to the camera.
I do not think you can transfer photos from the iPhone to the iPad unless you first transfer them to a computer.  If you then transfer the photos to an SD card, they must have eight character names plus suffix and be stored in a DCIM folder, just as if they came from a camera.
One thing you can try is to reboot the iPad.  Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow.  The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes.  Rebootting will not hurt anything and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

  • Unable to sync photos to my iPAD

I am unable to sync photos with my iPad.  Both computer and iPad have the most recent updates.  Only a few photos sync.  I have plenty of memory.

Nothing more to add other than what you mean is that you have plenty of storage capacity. If you truly have plenty of memory - you should remember this from now on ...memory would be the RAM and storage capacity is the amount of space available on the device for you to add apps, movies, books, etc.

  • Using iTunes to sync photos from selected albums grayed out

After I connect my iPhone 4 (running iOS 6) to my iMac, launch iTunes, select the iPhone device, then select Photos, I am unable to choose Sync Photos from iPhoto "Selected albums, Events, and Faces, and automatically include Events."  The radio button is grayed out on my primary iMac.  It is not grayed out when I connect the iPhone to my MacBook Air or to another Mac which means it is a problem specific to this one computer (running OSX 10.8.2 and the latest iPhoto and iTunes). I have looked all through the discussions and cannot find a solution to this problem. As suggested in the discussions, I've tried deleting the plists, creating a new account on the iMac and trying it there (it is grayed out there as well), re-installing iPhoto and iTunes, all to no avail. Advice welcome.  Thanks.

  • Unable to delete photos from iPad(1)

    Hi,
Firstly I apologise for the length of this submission but I need to detail all steps taken to date do you folks can see what I have tried ....and failed!
I run a kids charity and each year taken hundreds of photos. They are organised into events for each days activity. They re always translferred from my Camera Card onto my desktop Mac (Big Mac) and then sync'd to the Ipad.
At the end of the group visit I then putall photos into the one event and name it, i.e. Group visit 2012. This has always worked well and after syn would be the same on the Ipad.
However, after doing this I found I had the Group Visit 2012 event on the Ipad but also, about 150 photos from different days "outside" the Group event, as if they were events of there own. This onlyappeared on the Ipad not on Iphoto on the Big Mac. AS I cannot delete them from the Ipad I started to search this forum for advice.
So far this is what I have done: I emptied the trash on the Big Mac Iphoto. I then turned off the wirelss sync on the Ipad, connected it directly to the Big Mac and via Itunes unchecked, "Sync all photos". When this was finished I restarted the Ipad and, as it should have been, there were no photos preset at all.
I went back to the Big Mac, check that there were no suprious photos anywhere in Iphoto and that the trash was emptied. Reconnected the Ipad and set a Sync going. It showed a sync progressing transferring back all the p hotos from Iphoto on the Big Mac. When it was finished I checked the Ipad but all the odd photos were back again!!!!!!!  I even tried deleting some of hte photos on the Big Mac that were in the main group visit event but also showing as seperate event items on the ipad, then emptied the trash so at this point the photos do not exist at all. Re syncd with the Ipad expecting them to disappear but they are still there!
So, does anyone have any suggesions how I can get rid of these photos from the Ipad without having to just wipe the whole thing and revery back to factory?
many thanks to all who take the time to read and to all those who offer any help.

You still have to unsync them to remove then. Sync to an empty folder in iTunes and that should remove them. Create a folder on your hard drive and just leave it empty.
Connect your iPad to your computer and launch iTunes.
Select the iPad under the devices heading in the left sidebar. If you don't see the sidebar go to View>Show Sidebar from the iTunes menu.
Click on the Photos tab on the right at the top of the window.
Using the Sync Photos from drop down menu, select the empty folder on your hard drive.
Make sure that the Sync Photos From heading has a checkmark in the box next to the heading
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.
