Unable to synch calendar on iphone after migration

I have an Iphone 3gs and have followed the instructions as detailed HERE.
I can add an event to the calendar on my Iphone and it appears on the BT calendar on my PC, but then the event strangely disappears from my Iphone whilst remaining on my PC.
I can add events to the calendar on my PC but nothing appears on my Iphone.
Before migration my Iphone calendar synched perfectly with my BTYahoo Calendar.
Any ideas anyone?

Check your account, it lookls to me like it is deactivated because of too many retry.

Started getting an error message during iPhone synch about two weeks ago: "iTunes could not synch calendars to iPhone because the iPhone disconnected"
    - Am synching to my Outlook calendar on a system running Windows 7
    - Everything else (contacts, podcasts, audiobooks, etc.) synchs just fine
    - Tried totally resetting the iPhone and restoring the firmware
    - Tried deleting the backups, preferences and resetting synch history
    - Tried forcing a rewrite/replacement of the calendar database using iTunes
Nothing sems to work...still get the same message about not synching the calendar due to the iPhone disconnecting, but of course, it really hasn't disconnected since I can get it to immediately synch anything else.
    Any ideas out there? Thanks...

Thanks midwestcraft. I had this problem and your answer solved it for me.
Thought this further info may be of use to some who wants more historic dates in their calendar.
I had "do not sync events older than" unchecked and the input field set to "0". When I changed it to 180, it worked perfectly. I've found that I can increase this number to "545" - anything higher causes the error. This seems to coincide with some strange multiple-entry events in my calendar.
Don't know if this will be a clue for somebody to fix the issue.

  • Duplicate Calendars in iPhone after upgrading to ML

Last night I upgraded to Mountain Lion and ever since there are duplicate entries in my iPhone's calendar.  I think I *may* have accidentally told iTunes to sync calendars *after* migrating to iCloud; however, all the Calendar Sync boxes were unchecked, so when I tried syncing again, shouldn't that have overwritten the calendar data?
In addition, there are items on my iPhone that aren't syncing with my iMac calendar.  Seems like I need to refresh my iPhone calendar and sync it with iMac's, but I just can't figure out how to do this and Google isn't being helpful.
I have already followed the steps outlined here and can confirm there are no duplicates in iCloud: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4118?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
    Any thoughts?
    Cheers!

  • Synching Calendar between iPhone and Outlook 2007

When I make a calendar entry in Outlook 2007 on my PC, it automatically synchs with my iPhone through iCloud.   But when I make a calendar entry in my iPhone, it does not show up in Outlook anymore.  This just started about a month ago.  Under settings, in iCloud, I do have Calendar "ON."   I tried turning off Calendar in iCloud and then turning it back on - when I did that, the PC calendar that was showing there is now gone, and only the iCloud calendar is showing and it is checked.
    Any ideas?   Thanks!

yes they were set to the same timezone - which puzzled me a lot...
I lost a lot of sleep, but I can now say that I have solved the problem...
What I did was, that I un-installed microsoft office (desperate I know!) - then ran a sync with the iPhone choosing to overwrite the Calendar in the phone - as there was no calendar present - it deleted what was on the phone. • Synching Calendar to iPhone

    Hi
For some reason my iCal info from my Mac are not synching onto my iPhone
I have gone into preferences, and in iTunes for the Calendar it says it "synchs over the air"
not sure what is going on, but I just want to get my calendar info I put into my computer onto my iPhone
    thanks for any advice
    Mike

If your iCal calendars and events on your Mac are not available with your MobileMe online calendars and events, do you have automatic syncing enabled for your MM account on your Mac?
This is required as the first step if you want to sync calendars and calendar events over the air with your MM account on your iPhone, and the same applies to syncing contact info over the air. When first turning on over the air syncing for calendars and contacts with your MM account on your iPhone, all calendar events and contact info on your iPhone are erased and replaced with your MM online calendars, calendar events, and contact info. From that point forward, contact calendar events and contact info will be kept synchronized.
If your MM online calendar is empty, this means the problem lies with syncing between iCal on your Mac and your MM online calendar. If you resolve this problem, and turning on automatic syncing for calendars and contact info for your MM account on your Mac is a first start, then the rest on your iPhone will take care of itself.
If you want to sync calendar events direct with iCal on your Mac via the iTunes sync process and turning Calendars off for over the air syncing with your MM account on your iPhone does not allow this, try deleting your MM account from your iPhone, which can be recreated later. This should re-enable the option to sync calendar events direct with iCal on your Mac via the iTunes sync process.

  • Unable to synch calendar

My iMac (OSX Yosemite 10.10.1) is not synching with my iPhone (IOS 8.1.2).  This is a new problem.  It worked fine before.  Calendar dates entered on the iPhone appear on my iMac Calendar, but dates entered into the iMac Calendar do not appear on my iPhone.  I have iCloud properly enable on all devices.  In fact, if I enter a date on the computer and log into iCloud on the computer, the appointment shows up on my iCloud Calendar (as it should).  For some reason, however, iCloud is not pushing the info to my iPhone even though my IOS settings as set as follows:
    Under iCloud
    iCloud Drive is ON
    Calendars is ENABLED
    Under Mail, Contacts, Calendars
Fetch New Data is set to PUSH
Please help if you can.  Thank you.
    -bob n

Thanks for this info, Jamie.  I tried it each step.  No luck.  Here's what is happening:
Calendar events entered on my computer (OS X 10.10.1) immediately upload to iCloud Calendar. No problem
Events entered in my iPhone Calendar (IOS 8.1.2) immediately upload to iCloud Calendar. No problem. And they appear on my desktop calendar right away.  Thus, the iPhone and iCloud Calendar are communicating on the upload
BUT, events entered on my computer calendar (which I can see uploaded to iCloud calendar) are not pushed down FROM iCloud TO my iPhone IOS calendar.
The issue is pushing events from iCloud calendar to my cell phone.
Re: My IOS settings on the iPhone
    Under iCloud
    iCloud Drive is ON
    Calendars is ENABLED
    Under Mail, Contacts, Calendars
    Default Calendar is to iCloud
Fetch New Data is set to PUSH
There is no problem with email.  Email synchs across all devices through iCloud.  Again, the issue is that events entered on my computer calendar do not synch to the calendar on my iPhone.  My schedule is a mess.  Please help.  Thank you.

  • Unable to sync calendar from iphone to itunes etc- message coming up

    Hi,
Since I did an upgrade of itunes on my phone I keep getting this error when trying to sync with my phone and itunes
"iTunes could not sync calendars to the iphone "iphone" because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone."
Any advice on how I can sync would be helpful as it is difficult when things arent updated.
    Thanks

    I have the same problem.
After upgrading to latest iTunes I got an error saying "Itunes cannot run because some of it's required files are missing. Please reinstall iTunes". I fixed this by going into programs, found iTunes, right click and click repair (as detailed here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2775935&tstart=0 )
So now I have same problem, iTunes can not sync calendars to the iphone.
I only ever have problems like this after an upgrade. Very frustrating and time-wasting Apple!

  • Strange Calendar sync problem after migrating to iOS5

    Hello all,
I posted my problem as an "me too" reply to somebody else's thread but think it got a bit lost there.
Since I can't solve this problem I decided to make a new thread.
    The problem:
After upgrading my iPhone4 to iOS5 I have a strange calendar syncing issue such that existing entries from one calendar (I've got two, see below) are duplicated on the other .... but only on the iPhone, not on the calendar server (Lotus Notes) itself!
As I couldn't find a normal solution to this problem (already removed the complete Lotus Notes traveler account from my iPhone and reinstalled it again, to no use: the duplicates pop up again) I finally decided to start removing the duplicate entries on my phone. To my surprise however they popup again!!!!!
I added a new entry to the original calender to see whether that one would popup in the other as well but this didn't happen.
It looks to me it must be something wrong on my iPhone as the "duplicates" do not show up in the calender database on the server (using Lotus Notes PC client) nor its replicas.
    The configuration:
I sync with two calendars on my iPhone:
    - gmail calendar for my private
    - lotus notes server (traveler exchange) for my work.
The gmail calender also syncs with my desktop client (outlook 2010) via a small application "gSyncit".
This all worked like a charm on iOS4.
No matter where I modified, deleted or added entries (not only calendar, also contacts and mail) it all stayed perfectly in sync!
Does anybody out here noticed the same and/or has a solution to this?
BTW: I haven't activated iCloud for the calendar/mail/contacts (yet) ...

    OK,
I found out what was wrong myself.
In the end it turned out that it had nothing to do with the iOS5 upgrade itself.
In case somebody else stumbles accross this very same problem, here's what was going on:
    - Within the latest lotus notes client (on PC) the user has the possibility to display (read-only) external calendar contents (e.g. google's calendar).
    - When setting this up you need to supply your external calendar's login/password information and next to that
    - also have the possibility to select "View this calendar when offline or on a mobile device"
It was this setting (which I probably accidentally enabled) causing the "issue". Deselecting this option made my duplicate entries disappear on my phone.

  • ICloud will not synch Calendar from iPhone to iMac

I have a new iMac and an iPhone 4. iCloud works when synching my iMac to my iPhone, however it won't synch new calendar entries on my iPhone to my iMac. How can I fix this problem?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Check the calendar you are entering events into is an iCloud calendar, only iCloud calendars will sync.
If you are sure you are using the correct calendar try turning off calendar syncing (settings > iCloud) restarting the phone and enabling syncing again.

  • Synching calendars between iPhone 3GS and MacBook Pro iCal

Since this morning, without having made any change to any setting whatsoever, entries made in the iPhone calendar seem to be duplicated in the iCal as many times as the two sync with each other. I've got the same entries duplicated 4 or 5 times. How do I fix this?

I've this problem now. Have you solved this? How?

    Greetings.
I've been working on moving mailboxes from an old exchange 2007 server to Exchange 2013. Both Exchange servers are in the same AD. During the move, the target Exchange server ran out of disk space (Don't ask...), and ended up apparently losing track of its

When I check ADSIEdit for the Home Attendant name in CN=Configuration,CN=Microsoft Exchange, CN=First Organization, CN=Administrative Groups, CN=Exchange Administrative Group, CN=Servers,CN=EXCHANGE,CN=InformationStore, that tree is empty, no distinguished
name for the store is listed there.
Any help or directions you could provide would be helpful.

    Hi,
System Attendant mailbox is required to be available during mailbox moves. For instance, if you have the mailbox store containing the System Attendant mailbox dismounted during a mailbox move, the move will fail.
I recommend you use the Get-Mailbox -Arbitration | fl name, data* command to get the mailbox database in which all arbitration mailboxes reside. Make sure this mailbox database is mounted.
If you deleted it by mistake or it didn't exist in your Exchange(for whatever reason), you need to re-create the AD account by running setup.exe/prepareAD. Once the account is created, configure a mailbox for the account.
    Thanks,
