  • Iphone 5s cant send text message to Android Phone

Hi... Recently text messaging stopped working to an android phone on T mobiles network. I have an Iphone 5s and text messaging was working fine until Sunday. My friend has an android phone. I receive text messaging from them but they don't receive mine. Does anyone know what to do here? I have done full resets, turned off data, and any other thing I could think of. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure the contact has a 10-digit number, not just the 7-digit number.
If that isn't it, does the problem only happen with iMessages, SMS or MMS messages?
Try tapping Settings > Messages, then turn SMS and MMS off. Test, then repeat again only leaving SMS or MMS on.

  • IPhone 5S not receiving sound or vibrate text alerts from Android phones

I have recently noticed on my iPhone 5s, that when someone with an android phone sends a text message to me, there is no sound alert or vibration, even though both are set to on position.  The problem does not occur for calls or email alerts, only text alerts and it does not happen when another iPhone user texts me.  I am fully updated to iOS 8.1.2, I have restarted my phone.  Any thoughts as to why only the texting alerts are affected and only from Android users?  Thanks!

I think we do in fact have a similar problem.  When my phone is in sleep mode is when it doesn't always produce phone rings and never gives text alerts. I just verified this by having my assistant call and text me from her Verizon Galaxy phone and call me from our office land line.  From sleep mode my iPhone didn't ring with the first phone call from her cell or her first text message, but the text message did arrive.   She said my phone went straight to voicemail on the call and the text showed as delivered.  The land line test call did ring my iPhone.  A second attempt to call my sleeping iPhone from her cell phone did result in my phone ringing.  A second text attempt had the same result as the first, no alert, but the text did arrive.  A third text attempt with my phone not in sleep mode resulted in a text alert with the arrival of the text.  I did the same test, calling and texting my phone, with another iPhone 5s.  My phone rang from sleep mode but didn't give a text alert.
So, it would seem that this is mostly a text alert issue only when the phone is in sleep mode.  I'm going to review all my settings and failing finding something there that solves the problem I may call AT&T (if I am feeling patient).  I'll report back if I find a solution.

  • Upload Pics from Android Phone

How can I get my Samsung Galaxy S5 to upload pics to my Apple computer. Have tried "Kies" as well as Android Uploader. No luck. My Apple doesn't even recognize my USB connection at times. 1st Apple computer and maybe my last. Two days at this and still nothing. Only problem with my Android phone. Called Apple tech support and they told me to download "Kies". Did so and still nothing. At one point it took nearly 45 minutes to try and transfer pics. I had approx 25% done and gave up. Need your help.
    Thanks

Today I downloaded a new version of Kies, 3.1.0.15042_6, and it seemed to work fine.  I was able to backup my Note 3 running Lollipop with no hesitation.  Files transferred to my Mac running Yosemite, OS X 10.10.3, easily.  The download is available at http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/

  • I deregistered my phone number from imessage but am still not receiving texts on my android phone

I went the the deregistration process. This improved the annoyance but is still not fully resolved. I still am not getting texts in certain group message settings. The problem seems to be in group texts where everyone else is using imessage except me.

    Hello Laurie33,
This can be accomplished by deactivating iMessage.
To deregister your phone number, tap Settings > Messages and turn iMessage off.
If you can't deactivate iMessage after you perform the steps above or you can't access the iPhone, please contact Apple Support.

  • Unable to tether android phone thru usb

after upgrading to yosemite, unable to tether android phone thru usb port

I am also unable to tether my HTC Android phone since upgrading my 2012 Macbook Air to Yosemite (via wifi hotspot). The Mac connects to the hotspot OK, but cannot connect to the Internet. Traceroute cannot get past the gateway address (i.e. the phone). The data connection on the phone is fine - can browse the internet using the phone's browser.
This setup worked perfectly on the same machine with Mavericks and I have just tested it with a different Mac running Mavericks and found it to work. So it seems that something has changed in Yosemite to stop this working - has anyone been able to get an Android phone successfully tethered to a Yosemite machine?

  • How to transfer text messages from android to computer?

As you know, SMS is the basic function of a mobile phone, and we are used to send text messages on many occasions. Want to copy android sms to pc avoid losing them accidently? Puzzled in how to transfer text messages from android to pc? Well, now I'll guide you how to copy text messages from android phone to computer with Coolmuster Android Assistant.
It's very easy, we just need 2 steps to finish the work:
Step 1:Connect Android Phone to pc
The first thing you need to do is to download and install the Android contacts manager on your pc and launch it. The next is connect your Android phone to pc via usb cable. Your device will appear on the screen. The manager would recognise your android device automatically.
Notice: If this is the first time you connect android phone to the problem on computer, you should enbale USB debugging first, and install a USB driver on your computer, then the app would detect your android phone automatically.
Step 2elect sms and Start Export
You can find many icon on the left, find "Contacts" and click it, all then go to "SMS", then all sms on your android phone will be listed on the right. Then select and check you want to transfer, at last click "Export" to start the work.
    That's all!

  • I just bought an android phone and the previous owner of the number had an iphone and imessage wont work, how do I fix that?

I just bought an android phone and the previous owner of the number had an iphone and imessage wont work, how do I fix that?
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S4, and my wife has an iphone. We found out that imessage wont come through from her. After we went to the AT&T helpdesk they said that she could turn off imessage on her phone and that I would get texts on my S4. But then so would everyone else who has an iphone. That  won't work for everyone in my company that has an iphone. So what I am wondering is- since I recently got this phone, should I get a new number? Or should I contact ATT or contact Apple to try and get this number de-activated? I'm thinking I'll never get into the icloud account that this number is attached to, but maybe someone has some advice on that?
I just sincerely want imessage to work on this phone and I'm willing to take the steps to do that.
    Please help

Either one of the two should work - getting new number from carrier or contacting Apple to revoke phone number from imessage system.
That is if your problem is described correctly.

  • Disable iMessage as can't receive texts from iPhone users on new Android phone

I have done everything I can find online about this:
Deleted/unregistered the device from my profile
    Changed my password
Changed the number to 000000000 on my iPhone
Switched iMessage off on my iPhone
Deleted the device from my iCloud account.... HELP.
When I call apple I can't speak to someone it says I need to pay £25 as I do not have cover. Really?! Is there another number I can call? Any help appreciated. Will it work eventually? I have waited a week and still can't receive text messages from my husband on his iPhone. It's driving me mad! I love my new Android phone (LG G2) but this is so frustrating.

Hi zara343, I had a similar problem. I have a iphone and my daughter changed from iphone to android. We couldn't receive text messages to each other, she had no other problems with her other contacts, just mine. It was driving me crazy. My phone kept recognizing her android as an iphone. Yes I turned iMessage off and yes I could receive my daughters messages, but my two other daughters and a few friends had iPhones, so I didn't get their messages. My problem is now fixed, I tried to send a message to my daughter and it came up undelivered, so I pressed the red exclamation mark to the right of  the undelivered message and it gave me the option to try again, send as a text message or cancel. So I pressed send as a text message and my daughter received it, I tried again and message undelivered, so again I pressed the exclamation mark and went through the same process as before. I thought what a pain but did a third and now my iphone does not recognise her phone number as an iphone. So your husband would have to do this with his iphone and I am confident it will work, and me as an iphone user can keep iMessage switched on. Hope this helps.

  • I cannot send a text message to anyone with an android phone. Any suggestions?

I just got an iphone. I cannot send a text message to anyone with an android phone. I have tried turning imessage off and also wifi off. Any other suggestions? Most of my family including my husband currently have android phones and I need to be able to talk to them. I can send messages to iphones and ipads but not their phones. What can I do??

I don't see the "Start new conversation from:" I spent 1 hour and 40 minutes last night on the phone with Verizon. We completely reset the phone after backing it up to icloud. His conclusion was I need a new SIM card and I will not be able to go take care of that until tonight. I don't know if that will fix it or not but that is what he said...

  • My texts say they are sent to an android phone, but the android does not receive them for hours, or even at all.

So, recently my texts are not being received by an android phone. It says they are sent on my phone, but the android phone does not get them for hours or even at all. When they do come through, they come in random order. It is really aggravating and I do not know how to fix it at all. I have reset my phone multiple, updated it, I have tried everything. Any thoughts?

Contact your carrier. There are no settings on the iPhone regarding SMS. SMS is a carrier function. Have the carrier check to make sure that your account is provisioned correctly.

  • My android phone is not receiving texts from some iphone users

I have recently changed my phone from iphone to an android, however iphone users are unable to text me, i have turned my imessage off from my phone and i am still unable to receive messages, does this take time to work..
    Thank you

You did it from your iPhone?
If yes, be sure you friends are acttually sending messages tou youer MOBILE NUMBER, not other contacts like email that were possible with iMessage.
