Unable to touch

hi every1. i got a 32gb ipod touch suddently unable to use the touch screen.
the touch screen is not responds at all.
i dont know what generation is my ipod touch, its either 2 or 3gen
i have tried all kinda method, restore my ipod touch, restart it by holding the home and sleep botton.
help..

Unable to "touch" Wi-Fi on ipod touch

I am unable to access wi-fi in my settings. "Touching" WI-FI does not work. It appears gray and going into wifi is not an option. Wi-Fi ON or OFF does not appear. I have my own wireless connection in my house and all the laptops in my house can get internet. My brother had a touch as well and is having no problem with getting internet. ** Is it possiable a new application messed it up??

Obviously the answer from the concierge was incorrect. Connecting to a secure network all depends on how it is secured and what is being used for encryption. If you are trying to connect to a secure corporate wireless network, it is a much more intense process than your home server. Apple has written an enterprise deployment manual and software to help IT departments service their iPod touch/iPhone users.
If you are trying to log into a normal wireless network, WEP, WPA, or WPA2 secured, WEP is most likely to give you problems with the touch. WPA-psk and WPA2-psk are pretty good bets to work as long as you remember they are case sensitive and some special characters that are not on the touch keyboard can cause problems.
Since you don't state what you are trying to connect to or the type of encryption used then specific help is a little hard to give.

Unable to adjust backlight in target display mode

Hi. I am using my 27" iMac as a display on my windows computer and i can nolonger change the display brightness with F1/F2 on the imac keyboard.
After a bit of reading ive discovered that its a fault introduced in 10.6.8 that seems to not be addressed.
Does anyone know if a work around.
The imac is also getting rediculosly hot (unable to touch top of it) as the cpu is running 100% and the speakers do not work when in target display mode. as soon as i switch back with command+F2 cpu usage drops.
The imac is a 1st gen early 2010 model core 2 duo, 3.06ghz

I've tried rebooting, using a USB keyboard plugged into the iMac, every suggestion I can find on the forums, and every option I can think of and nothing works. Like merve0o0's, my iMac is also running very hot, but the brightness is the bigger problem for me. It was giving me a headache after a while. I even tried sunglasses.
I have found one workaround to what is pretty clearly a bug: a free app available in the Mac store called Dimmer than Dim. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dimmer-than-dim/id418816854?mt=12
It's a software solution, not a hardware solution, and it does compromise resolution a little because it dims the image, not the screen, but it works and makes the screen usable, at least for my needs (mostly Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint), until Apple gets around to fixing the bug.

Unable to access CS3

When I try to access CS3 on a Macbook, a blank registration screen appears of which I am unable to touch, thus not allowing me to access Phtoshop CS3...PLEASE HELP.

2. Start CS3
3. You'll get an error screen, click "never register."

Z3 Compact - Touch Screen Problem after Lollipop 5.1.1

After the Lollipop 5.1.1 installation I noticed that some keys while typing were just not working. After the installation of ScreenTouchTest I realized that there were a "black line" in the screen where it is unable to touch. I had it reseted with pc companion and still not working.What should I do ? It's just impossible to live without 20% of the screen. The locked phone have no issues. thanks in advance!

Setting a passcode causes touch responsiveness errors

my 10 year old set up a pass code for first time. (she has had her touch for 8 months with no problems). now when we go in to enter passcode it does not respond normally to touch. You touch your selection and a box appears around it. Then you need to double touch to get effect. We you used this method and got in. Went to settings but found we were still having to double touch but found we were unable to touch and drag to scroll. Now we cant even get in with the passcode that was set using the double touch. It now just comes up as wrong code.

Unable to sync touchscreen on TX

Somehow my touchscreen has become so out of sync that I am unable to touch the screen accurately with my stylus. Is there anyway to correct that? I can't even get to the "touchscreen" command on the Preferences menu to try to go through the "tap this spot" exercise.
Any suggestions?

OK. That helps. We have a starting point.
If you have a spare cable from an iPhone or iPod, try using another cable. Also switch USB ports on the computer.
I assume that you are using Windows, so you can look through the suggestions in this Apple troubleshooting article.

Every now and then my iPad fails to been seen in iTunes on my MacBook. If that happens to me, I simply restart everything and that always works for me. It might not work for you, but it's easy to try.
Quit iTunes, reboot your computer and restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

After I soaked in salt water

Hi there, so this is my situation. I recently been having a good time to a very good paradise. Making photos while swimming I use this Touch block app to make things easy when the phone is wet. Yes it was very good, I took a lot of pictures untill my phone drained all its power. Since I am on an island far from the resort, I charged my phone with a Power bank (Which I used several times) ad of course before I charged my phone I wipe it clean and dry, open the MicroSD and Charging lid just to check if did the water penetrated and found all is good and dry. Then I just left my phone there charging while Im havng a good swim.
I came back for some refreshments, I noticed my phone was charged upto 14% then its heating very much not the usual heat I ever experienced before. I quickly plugoff the charger and inspect my phone. I noticed the camera lens covered with moist inside. The phone is still operating when I turn it on, but I was unable to touch it, I mean the screen is not working. I didn't saw the Touch block app was running according to the notification bar and on the screen. I tried the bottons and it does works fine. After that I noticed the walkman was running and playing music but there was no sound, I tried to put my MDR-V55 and I can listen the music was playing at all. I tried to turn it off but I can't touched the screen. What I did was I took the Sim and put it back again just to make a restart. What happens next was annoying because it didn't fix the problem. The screen is still not functioning and the walkman is running. My first and best option was to wait untill I get home and repair my phone through PC companion. Far from home and my the battery is draining, I didn't make it my phone is all out of power.
Yeah finally I plug it on the PC and now nothing happens. It does something but not charging at all. The Notification light turns red when I plug it then some notifications on the PC that USB was connected then my Phone displays battery charging then suddenly disapprears but the red notification light is still there yet I can't do anything with it by pressing the power botton. I waited for about an hour to see a difference while it was still connected in my pc. After the waiting nothing happens, the notif light was still red and not charged at all. I plug it on a wall charger and got the same results, Charging battery appears then a just vanished instantly.I don't really know what just happen, but I feel like it has something do with the water and the touch block app that makes all the system crashed? LOL! I really don't know.
Can anyone please help me with this problem? I will really appreciate it. I was thinking now to surrender it and take a new one since it is still covered by the warranty. But I bougth this phone on Dubai and I am from Philippines it will not be easy so my last resort will be consulting you guys here or went to a local sony store.

Yeah! so I went to our local sony store, here was the consultation ended. They say they will not receive any foreign units as of for warranty. They can repair it though but it will cost a lot since it will be treated as not under warranty. And the process is very slow here I can tell. They need to shiped my unit to our capital City which is in Manila, I am from Davao City by the way. I show them my warranty card and explained what happen and they said the only thing I can do for now is to avail the repairs costs or I can send this back through the shop in Dubai. And now here I am trying to contact the guys from Dubai.
Its funny because when I read the terms and conditions on the warranty card it say's:
(What is not covered: The warranty does not cover battery, accessories, damage to the product by any including accidents, contact with water/liquid/spray/humidity, electricity surge, impact, fire, sand. The warranty also excludes damage due to regular wear and tear. )
I am not sure whether they want to fix or not. LOL! And in my case this terms where really applied. Anyway I will try to email them what can they say about this problem of mine.

In photo albums, photo roll icon too high, will not open?

In the photo album menu. Photo roll category is too high under album header, will not come down. Will not open, unable to touch it to open. Any suggestions?

Try resetting your iPhone - Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

My Mac Book Pro is very hot !!!

Hi just recently I have been unable to touch the rear edge of the underside of my Mac Book Pro because it SO HOT it almost burns me !!!!, happily it still appears to work ok, maybe the cooling fans have stopped working , is there perhaps a way I can check the internal temperature of the circuit board ???
PS. I am NOT running any high power software, I am simply running only Safari and Mail nothing else !!!!

Install software like iStat Menus 5.00 to monitor the fans and temperatures. Then:
Pre-Mavericks
Open Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder. Select All Processes from the Processes dropdown menu. Click twice on the CPU% column header to display in descending order. If you find a process using a large amount of CPU time (>=70,) then select the process and click on the Quit icon in the toolbar. Click on the Force Quit button to kill the process. See if that helps. Be sure to note the name of the runaway process so you can track down the cause of the problem.

Iphone 4 Display opens app by himself after 6.1.2. Update

After the Update to 6.1.2. on my Iphone 4 the display opens App by himself without touching it - made several reinstallation incl. DFU Mode and manual update without any success. The Iphone mostly starts to open favorites and notices and video app - sometimes you can write SMS without any problem sometimes you are unable to touch the right butto.. If you touch the home button double and try to close apps but you are not able to close the apps or you did not get in the mode to close apps - ths iphone conditions is like new no scatches , never felt down , no water - just update from 5.0 to 6.12

Still having this issue - used to be able to connect prior to this update - The iPhone has no problem auto joining the local Cable WiFi - but still doesn't show the Time Capsule WiFi SSID's in the list. iPad and three other Macs see and can join the Time Capsule WiFi.

Nokia 5800 - screen hang

I bought my nokia 5800 one week ago. Since the second day I use the phone, I am unable to touch the answer call's interface appear on the screen whenever there is incoming call or rather I shall say, the whole screen is hang. this problem will disappear after I switch off and switch on the phone but will arise again after a day or two. Please help.

For a start, try to do a hard reset.
Press green + red + multimedia button and turn the phone on. Note that you will lose all your files (which are saved on phone memory).
If it doesnt help, it's a hardware problem and you will have to take your phone to a Nokia Care Point.

Broken hinges on a old Satellite P20

My widescreen P20 has broken hinges and I hear this is a common problem :( I took it to be fixed and they said it's not just the hinges but the inside of the lid too so it is unfixable. I need to find one for spares, at the moment I'm unable to touch the lid let alone close it!
I'm hoping if I buy the outside casing of a laptop, or just the lid, I can have my inside put into it. Does anyone know where I can get one? I have checked ebay and looked on this site but no luck so far.

I dont think its a common problem
This problem is that the internal displays of notebooks got bigger and the notebook size smaller.
The notebook has small hinges within the screen so all the force is applied on a very small area causing the plastic cover cracks.
I have to say that this issue is not brand specific.
By the way all parts; hinges, lid, covers can be ordered from the Toshiba service partner in your country

Lights on front panel of Envy 120 printer disappeared

After a paper jam, the front panel lights stopped lighting. The error message said that I needed to change the color ink cartridge (which unfortunately was only a couple weeks old). I changed it but no lights. I could still print via the computer but was unable to use the "copy" or "scan" feature since I was unable to "touch" the lights on the front panel. After speaking with HP, they decided it was a hardware issue, and even though I was only 5 months past my warranty, had no solution other than to buy a reconditioned printer from them for more cost than the price online. However, I noticed when I printed something directly from the computer, the front panel opened, the arm swung out to hold the newly printed paper, and the LIGHTS CAME ON! So my solution is to keep a piece of paper forever on the "arm" to make sure the front panel stays open--I can then access the "copy" feature because all the lights now work. I know this is not a GREAT solution, but it is at least allowing me to use up my several cartridges of new ink until I get tired of having a defective printer.

I would leave the printer on and unplug the power cable, then after a minute, plug it back in. When the printer starts up it should open the display panel on its own. Also, please ensure you have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet and not into a surge protector.
If the issue persists, I suggest using the following link to ensure your printer has the newest firmware; Critical firmware update to improve printer performance.
If the issue remains unresolved still, I suggest calling HP. If you are in Canada or US call 800 474 6836, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.

Backing up with damaged screen

I am in the process of backing up my damaged G2 when I start the process, after selecting all of the items to back up I cannot get a response from the "next" touch due to a crack in the screen...if I back up on the website I do not get any feed back.

I'm sorry to hear your phone is damaged Berarandcp. I know this is frustrating. If the screen is damaged, you may not have the ability to back up your information because you are unable to touch the options needed to complete the process. Have you backup up information previously from your phone?
